I still haven't decided on what to do about accommodation in Sydney. It is so expensive in the immediate area.

AirBnb may be an option, not specifically in the city. If you look at neighbouring suburbs that are along the train corridors (~10 to 20 min travel by train) you may snap up somethning significantly cheaper. Uber ride in will be around ~$15-20. Look at the lines West, South West and South. Lines heading north are going to be $$$

Or you could go baller and stay at the Intercontinental, a certain hero of ours and his band stayed there last AU tour.

Thanks. I have had a couple of looks at AirBNB. There's nothing in the immediate area, so along the train line towards the airport is a good idea, since I have a morning flight anyway. Or I could just sleep at the airport......

Has anyone had any luck with tickets priced $100 or $200 for the NZ shows?

Or are these just a myth, to entice people??!

Yeah I smell a rat Ticketmaster, shouldn't $400 mean a good seat, not up in the Gods. But a whole bunch of angry folks on the Herald are venting the spleen and a funny video too.

Also, the NZ Herald "sold out in 10 minutes" headline is a lie.
I just checked again now and can get a single seat in Row K ($400) which is about halfway back on the main floor.

Late show A3 keep coming up as a single. Row A is the 5th row.

I'd love to hear the allocation of ticket prices for the 2000 seats.
I'm guessing it's something like: 1985 @ $400, 10 @ $200, 5 @ $100
confused

Single $400 tickets are still available for both NZ shows as at 1pm NZ time (60 minutes after they went on sale).

Just been on the site, and have searched both shows and been offered numerous seats all at $400, feel daft as some are in the stalls and circle. Some of these offered seats are much better than mine mad

.

I have a feeling nearly all the seats are the expensive ones and there were very few cheap or middle range seats. I wouldn't put it past Ticketmaster and their gounging and greed. Should be an enquiry, as there should be a lot of cheaper seats available rather than expensive ones.

.

The only thing good from this, is that the people who have Purple Rain and the Hits and kind of like a few songs are not going to want to fork out $400 to see him, but true fans will.

.

There are VIP tickets available at $749.90 and $949.00 I can not believe I just turned down a latter ticket in the FRONT ROW!!!!!!

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Plenty of tickets still available in Sydney, so no surprise tickets are still available in NZ. Yes, I got offered front row in NZ just now too.

I stayed there too last time. I saw everyone from the band, they were all very nice. But I didn't see him, even though my room was next to the suite with the Grand Piano. So I assumed he was staying somewhere else?

She will understand hopefully, she knows to love you is to put up with everything happening in the Prince world to quote a well know podcast. I mean she put with me talking to you about Prince for 2 hours. Is she coming with you?

.

Thank God in my case, the bank of Lawrie was open and its paying dividends!!! i hate being a toyboy at anytime, but Prince is an occassion, when you lose all your standards and morals.

.

Just got back from grocery shopping as a kite, had a row with 2 old folks, angry I zoomed ahead of them in a queue. They probably thought I was on something, the checkout girl (Aged about 17) had no idea what Prince tickets were!

No way, it's gonna be a solo mission.

I'm going to tell her I only have a ticket to one show and it cost $200. If we all keep quiet I should be OK. lol
