My partner had two tickets in the basket and by the time he got his card information in, the website released the tickets back for sale. An acquaintance posted on Facebook that she got tickets from an employee of the Hydro. I wonder how many were nabbed by the staff.

After a particularly emotionally turbulent hour of my life, I scored tickets for my sister and I. It'll be our first show, can't believe its happening!
We were all set to drive down to Manchester in February to wait outside the Academy, and lost out after taking my eye off the ball for ten minutes!

So excited biggrin

I would like to request how many tickets were made available through SSE reward at 9 am before the public sale at 12 pm. On SSE reward, I clicked within the minute and was 365th in the queue, for the hydro I was within the first 100 and standing tickets were sold out immediately after I had completed my order.

Other numbers which could be interesting are how many standing tickets were actually available for sale.

The hydro can adjust its seats. For example, either 8,000 seats + 5,000 standing, or 12,000 seating and 1,000 standing.

There must be a logical explanation in why the standing tickets went away sooo quickly.

I don't believe in the theory that black market sellers have a magic plugin in their browser. I simply don't believe in black magic.

Anyway, having to rush like this is certainly not entertainment but stress, anxiety and so on.

Now, I hope Prince fans won't start queueing 3 days in advance like the Bruce Springsteen fans at Hampden Park last year.

I only was sayng what my good mate told me about the touts & their tricks to get tickets. I'd like to think a man who has worked 20 years in IT isn't pulling my leg on this matter. So did u get a standing ticket or not?

I got a standing ticket and was very closed to losing it.

The reservation was processed but typed my current adress for the card, and remembered later that the bank still had the card registered at my previous flat. Easy mistake. Tried to phone them and no answer. Around 3:30 pm, I managed to get the phone to ring on their end. The employee confirmed my payment had been rejected but could correct the details and processed my 'reservation'. I was very lucky.

They were so difficult to reach on the phone that I thought I was going to miss the show (nightmare!). Their online form for my situation (change of payment method) was not working.

Standing tickets have just appeared again on Ticketmaster. Got one five minutes ago(1.40pm). Checked again and still available. Just posting this in the chance that some people may see it in time and can avail. Always worth checking back now and again....

The expensive seats are back up. I just don't know if I can justify £270 for one night and deny us a family holiday.

I was very very fortunate to get standing tickets on tm at 12pm on the button. I got straight through but within literally 2mins they had all gone. Which makes me wonder what capacity will the standing area be? I've heard anything from 1-5 thousand, as much as I'd like to be at the stage I don't want to waste the day in Glasgow standing outside the arena for hours. Anyone know or predict how many will be in the standing section?

Yes back to the old fan club priority ticket days would be a solution, with a 2 days window or something to get the tickets. That would give the real fans an opportunity at least.

Also if you take into account people from northern ireland and northern england as well as the whole of scotland it's upwards of 10 million people potentially + touts going for 5000 standing and 8000 seats. never good. sad

.

Still looking also for 2 if possible, but will take anything at a reasonable price. smile

When I was queuing for Springsteen last year, I witness a guy from the black market (it was obvious) who offered a lady several times to buy her ticket 30% of the face value only. He asked like two or three times. They have no problem and ask in person. The lady refused to sell and prefered to keep it unsold and unused rather than be robbed.

What Springsteen did to try to limit the black market is ask ticketmaster to dispact the tickets only 1 or 2 weeks before before the show. My ticket attempted to be delivered only 1 week before the concert.

Another way to stop the black market would be lto do like the earlier gigs this year: buy the tickets on the day of the show. Would it work?

Haven't posted on here in ages, I have been lurking though !

I have got 2 spare seating tickets for Glasgow. Face value obviously. £190 for the pair. I live in Aberdeen and I will be attending so I can easy hand them over in person if that's preferred.

Anyone keen can mail me at Kris.Reid1873@gmail.com

Also, anyone think there may be an aftershow at The Garage ?

The Gumtree touts are despicable. Baffles me how someone can have the front to actually say "Face value £70, selling for £250". Needs to be some sort of legal crackdown on this. Hope you get marooned with them you utter cunts !

he's playing leeds the next day so an aftershow is very unlikely as they need to get the band and all the gear dismantled, packed, loaded onto trucks, driven to leads, unloaded, unpacked and setup

plus 3EG have never done an aftershow to date

likewise after leeds they need to pack and travel to holland for a show on sunday. the most likely aftershow would be birmingham on monday 19th as they have 2 days to pack and travel to glasgow but that's unlikely really. we already had the small gigs earlier in the year for the fans

I'm sure the bean counters don't care whose posterior is on the seat. The artists should care, because a gig with no atmosphere is lesser for it.

Kate Bush has made some inroads, as the lead booker's name is on each ticket and they have to be present with ID to get anyone in. You'd need to be quite thick skinned to sit next to someone you've just fleeced.

So, to those standing, what time are you going to queue up from?

It seems Glasgow is the only gig truely sold out. Should be a great atmosphere.
