Hi all - long time lurker and don't think I've posted since trying to sort tickets for o2 gigs!

I might have a spare standing ticket for Glasgow, just waiting for my brother in law to claim it or not....

Will post back when confirmed either way.

I managed to get a seat in block 206, which looks pretty good - a frustrating experience, but ticketsoup.com came good eventually.

Still seems to be the odd seated ticket going though..if you can force yourself to go through their process multiple times..

Has Salmond come out yet and claimed that more tickets would have been available in an independent Scotland?

I got in ok at 12 and managed to get seats in block 215. Was only in the ticketmaster queue for about 5 minutes. Couldn't get through on ticket soup though.

It's almost as if both sides are selectively highlighting issues and opinions which fit in with their side of the argument rather than engaging in nuanced debate that recognises that their are positives and negatives to both independance and remaining part of the UK!

lol

The Uk will claim that more tickets are available together that apart, that Prince would choose to only tour mainland Europe on a Yes vote, and that Bankers get free tickets.

The SNP will claim that all of Prince's tickets should be shared with Scotland whether he likes it or not; They want the tickets, but not the debt of buying them, and that all Prince tour business plans must be written on the back of a fag packet with no plan B. (actually, knowing Prince, they probably are).

Have any orgers in the UK used 'seatwave' ticket trading site or similar?

..I'd be tempted if the tickets were guaranteed and the prices were not crazy cool

I doubt it the dates don't stack up there is no free days really to squeeze in amother Glasgow date. I can't see him doing outdoor Glasgow without doing London first. I think I just missed the last chance to see him in home city!! My concert luck isn't very good this is 2nd only to my unfulfilled vip 'this is it' disaster

Yip, plenty on ebay gumtree and the trading sites if you are prepared to pay or take the risk.

Im gonna wait just in case another dates is added for Glasgow, but unlikely as the venue is booked before and after with other acts, apart from towards the end of May. cool

..

Funky Bro, there are plenty seller's on Gumtree from Glasgow, get in there!!! biggrin

Yes back to the old fan club priority ticket days would be a solution, with a 2 days window or something to get the tickets. That would give the real fans an opportunity at least.

Also if you take into account people from northern ireland and northern england as well as the whole of scotland it's upwards of 10 million people potentially + touts going for 5000 standing and 8000 seats. never good. sad

Yesterday was a total & utter disaster 4 fans! Nobody, & I mean nobody I know got Tickets for themselves! Even unique & Scotsman1999 got their tix from mates! It's ludicrous how fast they went. I didn't actually know how these touts get them so fast until my mate who works in IT told me that they use software in the browser to continually refresh & buy all the tickets up. Surely to GOD the venues or ticket outlets can find a way to stop this greed & daylight robbery!

I was a greetin' faced mess at 12:30 yesterday cuz I got absolutely bugger all. Then my hubby called to say he'd kept refreshing & managed to get 2 tix for quite decent seats!! Couldn't believe my luck. Prayers had been answered cuz honestly, I'd have been a demented wretch on Thurs 22nd May without a ticket. I'd probably have crouched in a corner of my house, fingers in ears, rocking back & forth muttering 3rdeyegirl lyrics with a duvet over my head!! lol Prince playing 20mins from my house & I wouldn't be there? I'd have completely lost it. But so many of my friends & family got nothing & I'm so sad for all those who have been ripped off on the chance to see him. sad

Who said about a fan meet up? Get yer skates on cuz we r meeting at Waverley Station, Edinburgh at midday 2day biggrin Can't wait 2 see u guys! Exciting stuff to talk about!!! excited

Went on seat wave & there r tickets which don't seem as astronomical on price as Gumtree or eBay.

Good luck anyone who still doesn't have a ticket thumbs up!

Can only suggest we bombard 3rd eye on twitter for more shows and they might just listen! Consider the Glasgow gig was probably the most in demand. P probably thinks he will be performing in some crap tiny Scottish venue but actually the hydro is world class and considerably better than the other arenas. Why just play once

I must admit I wasnt impressed with the sound in the Hydro.Went to see the Mode last year and Australian Pink Floyd this year and they could have sounded better imo.We all know what Prince is like for the audio at his shows so I have no doubt his people will blow the roof off the place. As for these scalpers that have bought tickets purely for selling.May their next shits be hedgehogs.....C**ts!!!!! sad
