I've got a standing ticket, the friendsI'm gping with also have standing tickets - however theirs say Door A and mines says Door C. We were planning on arrving quite early and queuing but does this mean there will be several queues at different entrances and I'll be separated from them? I just kind of assumed the standing tickets would have a general entrance?

Yeah, me too!

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure there is a main entrance & maybe the A & B refers to what entrance into the arena u take maybe? Give the Hydro a call & find out b4 hand cuzu don't want to be queuing early doors to find out ur in the wrong spot.

I'll try and give them a call today and see if they can clarify! Don't want to end up queing in the wrong place!!!

What time are folks planning to get there? I'm hoping to be there about 3.30pm - do you think that will be okay?

yes..you should be very close to the front queing that long...of course you will need to tie a knot in it before you get into the arena to keep your place...i will be there around half five...i am going with a bunch of lightweights so will be up the back somewhere standing..

The doors to the venue open at 6pm the doors to the arena ie A, B and C open at half six. It doesn't matter what door u go through for general standing as the ABC system is only used to guide people to there seats when there is a seating plan on the floor. smile

Sorry, I'm confused. So, what happens between 6pm and 6.30pm? Presumably, at 6 everyone rushes into the venue to start requeueing somewhere else for a 6.30pm entry into arena?

Also confused here. If the A, B, C doesn't matter for a standing show then why is it specifically printed on the ticket? Also wondering about the above - I have this vision of me queing outside for ages, rushing in at 6pm - only to be told I'm at door A when I should be at door C and ending up behind everyone!!! (yes - I'm getting a wee bit over excited/nernous now!!)

If Manchester is any guide, you don't need to worry about not getting a good spot if you're there fairly early. I got to the venue at about 7pm last night and joined the standing queue. I got a spot about 8-10 deep, without any pushing in. Only the die-hards are anxious for the best spot. The majority of folk there will be reasonably casual fans, so will turn up on time, but not really early.

All of that said, I have seats on Thursday, so it's easy for me to be relaxed about it now smile

I actually did have a seat to start with, but as this is the only show I'm going to and who knows when the next one will be (last time for me was one of the 02 aftershows), I'd like to get up fairly close if I can! Although I'm a lurker on here, I've been a fan for 31 years! Also - I'm only 5ft tall - so you can imagine ...

Spot on. Queue at the main doors, then once they open take Ur pick from ABC if Ur worried just go to the door on Ur ticket, but it does not matter fir standing but yeah, once the doors open there is gonna be another half an hour wait till the actual arena doors open.
