given the tiny capacity I think a lottery draw outside Ronnie Scotts would be a fab idea with lots of media hype!!

Only if that is announced in good time beforehand, otherwise there would be a riot with those that queued for ages nont getting in.

The RS late show Monday to Friday is 11pm to 3am, perfect P active time; it's normally some kind of house band, who could easily be sidelined to make way for P. There are no pre-booked tickets for the late show, so that fits with the current entry model P is favouring.

I saw in the website that they do lunchtime shows sometimes on a Sunday:
Doors 12pm
Show 1pm-3pm

They can make an exception for Prince on a Monday surely

That would be sooooo cool. I hope this happens tomorrow.

Rumour in the queue (and it might simply be a rumour) is that Ronnies is cancelled.

Absolutely battered from the second Koko show last night, but managed to get this afternoon off. Going to queue at Ronnie Scotts at about 1pm...I hope it's still on, oh and has a queue of 2 people!

There are already about 50 people queueing up at Ronnie Scott's.

This guy

https://twitter.com/Johnny_Shotgun

says that Prince crew just arrived - about 20 guys in three private cars. The fact they're there so early does tend to suggest it might be an afternoon show.

Spoke to someone at Ronnie Scott's. Prince and 3rdeyegirl on stage at midnight doors at 11pm. Tickets via queuing - First come first served. £70 on door 300 capacity.

Well, that is way too much queueing for me. I stood in line for four hours to get in to the Electric Ballroom, and two hours to see him at Koko. But I'm not doing 12 hours, even for a lovely venue like Ronnie Scott's. I hope everyone who's there manages to get in and that someone polices the queue properly and that everyone there has a great time.

Seems queue is over 100 already and doors not open untill 11pm. I could be there in 30 minutes but that is a crazy amount of waiting.

I was going to leave myself, but queuing until midnight is a little too much. Plus, the time of the gig would mean us missing our last train home.

Hopefully, Brixton Academy will materialise next week. Until then, I think I'm going to have to let the magic of Shepherds Bush tide me over.

I could just go back to the office and sleep there afterwards, but it all seems a little too crazy.

Plus Ronnie Scott's just tweeted that capacity has dropped due to equipment and definitely under 200 for tonight: https://twitter.com/offic...1138543616

Brixton would be awesome, loved the show there in '98.

Hearing the cpacity is getting less and less, 200 with the amount of kit they have people are saying.

If its only 200, surely they could just give the first 200 in the Queue a wristband or soemthing to go back later on? seems a little daft to have them there until midnight, thats some hardcore Queue action

Also, Ronnies are apparently insisting on some members tickets too, which I guess is fair enough.

Seems queue at 210 and people now being turned away.

I think they have said about the lower capacity so that they can still cater for their members tickets and the amount of equipment thing is just a cover story. Can't blame Ronnies for wanting to look after their members.

Hi everyone. Ive been following events for the last two weeks, but have been unable to get to any shows, as have been out of the country. Got back today. Ronnie Scotts sounds fantastic...but the first come, queue until 11pm and maybe get lucky is (as most people are saying), crazy. Thanks Englishgent for the email from Ronnies. That persuades me not to come upmto town. The club is usually open until 3am. Even if he squeezes in 2 shows, with an under 200 capacity, its just a waste of time getting on the train at 1.30, on the very slim chance of a second show. Good luck to all the orgers already in the queue. It will be fabulous im sure. I will just have to hope for Brixton (last time I was there was for the Clash; excellent venue). By the way, has Kiran not heard of wristbands? I get the increaseing suspicion that she is simply a figurehead and goffer.
Lots of love...
Peace and Love xxx

Rumours on Twitter of it being £500. WTF? More likely to be £70, surely...
