Singing sensation Prince seen arriving at the world renowned jazz bar 'Ronnie Scott's', to perform a live gig!

Wrinkle free Prince arriving @ the world renowned jazz bar ‘Ronnie Scott’s’ in Central London

I was standing behind the motherfucker that took this pic!!!

Bastard blocked my view!!!!

I didn't even realise til AFTER the gig that this was Prince as my view was obscured and his personal Umbrella assistant covered him up like a circus tent.

:/

This thread is like being in a fucking queue for Prince in the middle of London, at night, in the rain.... neutral

Everyone chill the fuck out!!!

And leave Unique alone. He's cool. I spent ages with him Monday night, and he's got some of the best Prince stories I've ever heard...

Maybe instead of dissing him you should be polite and ask him about his experiences. You'll be impressed, no doubt.

Now....

Take Care of that Ass Y'all!!! razz

I met your friend, a really nice lady and extremely lucky too! So glad her gamble paid off, easily better than 7 nights self-catering in *insert destination here* biggrin

Yeah, I was thrilled she got to see so many different types of gigs. It was a very sureal moment saying hello to someone in front of the stage at the SBE, that I had never met before. That she got into Kings Place was incredible, I was having a coffee with her a few hours prior to that gig before having to head off to Westfield in search of Valentines goodies for my GF. No prizes for guessing who got best Valentines present. biggrin

And it would be me who you are talking about, thank you. smile
It has taken me a long time to read through the org threads since I've been back home. It has been interesting because it is sort of helping me to remember my own experiences.

Nice to read your thoughts Whitnail, I appreciate it. smile It was great when you said hello at SBE, I could not believe at first that you were someone I had had a conversation with before on FB a while ago!

unkleg - now it would be interesting to know who you are! We met, you say, and I was easy to be "identified", being the Austrian who travelled to London on a gamble to see Prince wink - I met so many nice people while queuing at the different concerts, can you help me out to give me an idea who you were in the Ronnie Scott's queue?!

As for my review, I will write one - just did not have the time yet. Now I must go to bed, my eyes are too tired from reading all the threads and keeping up with what's going on in Manchester, where our Prince rocked the fans yesterday and today! smile

Just one thing for now about these shows that I witnessed: for me, Prince is at his very best!! His passion for the music is as visible as ever and he is clearly enjoying it all, playing his heart out and having a good time! The intensity of this band's hard rock blows my mind! I love hard rock, and Prince does it better than anyone else!! biggrin

Seeing him with this band, in all those different venues, first row and everything, was worth all the effort of flying over, paying flight and hotel, queuing for about 32 hours altogether in the rain and wind and cold ... I would do it all over again in a hearbeat! I did not call myself a hardcore fan when I filled out my org profile a few years ago, but I think I should change that now. - I have never done anything like this for any other artist, nor would I even think about doing it! But for Prince rocking with 3rdEyeGirl ... where is the queue???? biggrin

I think she was at the Wiener Stadthalle in 2010, the one that was changed from some venue in Linz. For geograhical reasons, she went to alot of gigs in Germany back in the day. She posts on here sometimes. Hope all is well in Vienna, I was back there last summer for a long weekend. Suffered "heimweh" for a few weeks after getting back to London. biggrin

[Edited 2/20/14 2:13am]

Then I guess I was at quite some shows where she was too as I also was at that 2010 show at Stadthalle and at a whole lot of shows in Germany back in the day. I guess she might be an orger who I exchanged orgnotes with one time a while ago (talking about some concert maybe the Budapest show in 2011 not sure).
Next time you come to Vienna let me know then maybe we can go for a coffee as well biggrin .

Yes, that's me. smile

Hi Dreamer20ten

Yes, I met you in the queue at Ronnie Scotts! Prior to us being told to move back to come forward, to go back, to move forward...we were outside that building, I think it was a printers with a glass front. I was the small indian guy hiding when the guy broke into Purple Rain for the TV cameras...you told me about you booking your holiday with very understanding work colleagues and how your gamble paid off cool

What a brilliant experience, must rate up there as one of the best holiday's EVER!!!

The queue, despite the chaos was full of great people like yourself, made that 12 hour wait pass really quickly...maybe even faster than the 5 and half hours at Koko the night before!

Your head must be buzzing taking it all in, and so glad that you made it in too...Prince and the band were AMAZING eek

Hi, I think I remember you, although I'm honestly not sure. wink Were you with your gf/wife?
The moving back and forth was something else, huh? haha ... looking back it was all fun!
I truly had the time of my life and I will always remember everything about these 10 days in London with a very happy heart!! It was all wonderful, and Prince ... still struggling to find adequate words for these shows! HE ROCKS!!! headbang
