Yes - I just logged on and saw there are still upper section tickets for Brizzy - cannot believe they are still available. Also noticed on Ticketek they are selling the May 30th (3rd show for Melb) tickets too. Shall be a fantastic concert I am sure. I have never seen him live so very excited.

I hope he does alot of his hits - seeing I have not seen him before, but I will love it all I am sure no matter what he performs. It will be a real experience. I never thought he would come back to Australia & I would get to see him

Well he tours here on average once a decade, whereas you guys get him maybe on average at least every 2 years. Also we have all been told that the Welcome 2 shows are excellent and probably going to be better than the shows on the 1992 and 2003 tours.

Plus its also the bonus of tickets in Australia will get all us Kiwis excited to fever pitch. Its just that down under is so far from Minneapolis and we kind of respect Prince for going to this trouble. Spending $6000 to see Prince in the USA is less attractive to us than spending $1000 to watch him play in Australia, a place most Australian fans can go to, and Kiwis can get too with not too much problems. As all the Kiwi flights go to the big cities, in fact here in NZ 90% of all aircraft going to OZ end up in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

I actually feel more sorry for fans in Perth, Darwin and anywhere in the outback like Meekatharra and Broken Hill (The first name that comes to mind - I have aunties living there). Fans in Adelaide and Canberra, there are trains.

It's Perth I really feel for cos ANY one of the 3 cities is a LONG way to go - Adelaide and Canberra Newcastle etc etc all have the option of driving, hopping on a train etc and it being "doable" Hell when Prince announced European SOTT Tour that didnlt include London (wtf) I knew immediately I had to go to Paris fortunately I did have a little more time than 6 weeks before the gig to get organised and even back then pre chunnel days London to Paris was only a few hours with a drive and the ferry. You don't hear all the footy fans bleating on about the AFL grand final - they simply get caught up in the spirit of it and fill the trains and it all becomes a big event and they have a weeks notice for that one, why not for Prince?

It says "4 weeks to go" on the banner, which is traditionally used to indicate when a run of shows is ending, so by that maths, the first week of May would be the time for that ad.

I'm assuming someone has put the wrong version on the website - whether that ad was just a "standby version" depending on ticket sales, or whether that's been the plan all along isn't clear, so I'm preparing for an announcement about new shows anytime in the next couple of weeks...but I'm not holding my breath either.

If it is true, it looks like I'll be going back for a slightly extended stay in Sydney - Prince on the Thursday night, Naturally 7 on the Friday night (currently have a ticket for the Sat night in Melb which I'd have to sell ), then Janelle on the Sunday night. And maybe an aftershow in there somewhere!

Good lord, I'd better go and do some work to pay for all of this!

ok, so ive just re- joined the Org after a few years break (because i was so addicted i spent most of my time on here lol).. so ive decided that now is the perfect time to come back and find all my old friends again!

Im going to both sydney shows VIP gold opening night and gold 2nd night, now im patiently waiting for the 3rd syd date to go on sale ...even though i have no money..

and even more importantly im desperate to go to the after shows once this time as I missed out on the Basement in 03.

So good to be back, and Im soooooooooo excited about the next month! im already wearing all the purple clothes and shoed i own in anticipation!

As we ran out of these packages, then later customers were purchasing packages that were outside the first 5 rows - all content on the website was modified as we ran out of tickets for the first 5 rows. Please contact our team on 1300 474 697 with your booking number and credit card number so we can find your booking and confirm what you purchased if you're unsure."

This sucks. I got mine from ticketek with their VIP gold package very early on. There was no mention of where gold was so I only had the showbiz map to go on.. Technically I haven't got a leg to stand on but I think they behaved cynically by not advising that gold actually meant 95% of the venue. I think my assumption that $385 would give me value beyond the fucking mushroom vol au vent and can of horse piss weak Aussie beer (no offense) was a reasonable one. I just hope that by buying them at presale they fill from the bottom up, otherwise it's a farce. Did anyone else buy ticketek premium packages? Everyone else seems to have bought from showbiz. I hope you all bought early.

Hey, I also got the T.C.E Gold Reserve Tickets from Ticketek, I got them last Friday, I hope that means the seating is within the first elevation. I do think it's a little sneaky that they could'nt reveal the location of the seating though.

I wish I had just waited until Monday and would have spent less for Purple Reserve.

Hm, you are only other person I have heard who got those tickets. I think we should be ok. I got mine on Thursday morning. I just hope the canapés are really good. Oysters, caviar and Alaskan crab on mini bagel halves.

I will be a nervous wreck opening the envelope when the tickets arrive.

There will be tears if there not in the 1-20 sections.
