Brisbane section 13 front - right where I wanted to be close for the piano piece.

That section will give you one of the best seats in the house. you'll be able to see the whoe stage at a decent distance.

I wanted the other side ideally (most of the bootleg videos I have ssen have been from your side, so I wanted something different, lol)

from the shows i'd seen i was trying to get the piano side, side on, and ended up on the opposite side towards the pointy end of the symbol for 3 shows. you'd think i'd at least get one diff angle.

I want NPGMC back and those wristbands for the aftershows !

Yes congratulations are in order. I just feel bad 4 u having to sit there so long, 5 hours, you must be mad hungry at the moment. But u have the reward because Prince is going to perform his hits 4 u and all of us.

So the Showbiz site has changed their seating plans. Initally the "Gold Reserve" seats were shown as a tight ring around the centre (check page 3 of this thread). Now the "gold reserve" is pretty much the whole of the Olympic Park. WTF? Starting to smell real bad now.

I'm excited, just waiting patiently to hear more wink

I think both times he's been in Australia he's done some recording, so that might be on the agenda again.

Janelle Monae is in Sydney on 26/27th May, so I'm hoping there might be something cooking with them - maybe a small gig between their shows, or she might even come down to Melbourne, either for an aftershow on 30/5 or even as a guest/support act? (Support is probably a bit rich nowadays, though, given she's playing the Opera House in Sydney!)

Isn't Superconductor due out in June? If it's at the start of June, he'll still be here (presumably with Andy) when it is released...

Purple Rain is not my favourite Prince song, not to say I don't like it, but to see it performed live is just awesome!, the guitar solo, the crowd participation with the wooo hoo is so cool. I can't wait!!

Bring on May 11!!

I grudge paying for the hospitality packages. You rarely get value for money. I remember at the O2, the whole fiasco with TicketBastard (Ticketmaster!) had them holding back tickets and saying standard seats for most dates were sold out when they weren't...it meant fans paid for the more expensive seats and packages to make sure they got a ticket. Then miraculously nearer the time more of the cheap seats became available again, and they were even being sold in the hours up to the concert at the venue's ticket office.

When Prince plays in the round, most seats will get a good view. I just wouldn't fancy being behind the "O" as he'll have his back to you 80% of the time. But you will at least get an unobscured view of his back!

Prince fans vent fury over Ticketek glitches

This is what it sounds like when Prince fans cry.

Many people logging on to the Ticketek website to buy tickets to the multi-platinum artist's Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane shows have been left disappointed by apparent online glitches.

By 9.40am Ticketek was the top trending Twitter topic in Australia, with many hoping to buy tickets to Prince shows complaining of being allocated seats and entering payment details, only to lose their tickets after being shown an error message.

Other fans said their transactions suddenly "timed out", while others could not access the website at all to get tickets for the Welcome 2 Australia tour in May.

Some were urging fans to use the Ticketek mobile site, which they said was much quicker.

Ticketek's Facebook page soon attrac... customers expressing similar frustrations.

"I had tickets in Sydney, Section 5 HH10-11. I was pretty happy with them, actually," Facebook user Richard Cox wrote.

"When I went to purchase, I got an unspecified error message.

"Then I got kicked off your website entirely. Was it something I said? I know I had enough money on my credit card, so it couldn't be that."

Another Facebook user, Skye Forster, said: "Upgrade your servers! What a joke. I had FF 60 218-217 then it crashed going to the payment page, tried again, had NN 61 240-239, crashed on way to payment page, now I'm in a neverending loop (queue) to even get to the ticket selection and your phones are busy.

"This is TERRIBLE."

Ticketek released a statement late this afternoon saying their website was never offline, with customers successfully buying tickets throughout the morning.

Managing director Cameron Hoy said: "We are aware that some customers experienced a 'timed out transaction' and whilst we understand this can frustrate eager fans, it is important to understand that a limit on the time allowed per transaction is one of the key measures put in place to ensure fair access to as many fans as possible."

Before 10am tickets were selling on eBay, some at cost price and others at more than $1000.

Within an hour, promoters Chugg Entertainment announced a second Sydney show on Saturday May 12 and another show in Melbourne on May 15.

A third Melbourne show was also announced for May 30.

There were also many fans complaining on the Chugg Entertainment Facebook page about difficulty in buying tickets.

Similar issues plagued Radiohead fans in February, when they tried to buy tickets on the Ticketmaster website.

Ticketek has been contacted for comment.

Ticketek won't care.

It has happened before, and it will happen again. We'll keep buying our tickets and putting up with their servers that can't cope and software that doesn't let you select your seats, because that's where you have to buy your tickets.

Prince.org not letting me edit - anyway I was gonna say that it's a pity there's no second Brisbane show because i would have gone to both and now i'm stuck with seats far away from the stage because it was all I could manage to get before the ticketek fucks spat me off their site.

I only wish I could sell them to some friends and buy better ones but unfortunately nobody I know likes Prince enough to spend $300+.

Yup, exactly the same as. Site kept crashing as I was trying to purchse the tickets. Gave me decent seats then kicked me out, so I had to settle for rooftop seats to make sure I got a ticket.

And yeah, I would buy tickets for a second, third, fourth night in Brisbane

Aussie fans, are tickets selling very fast or why is he adding new gigs? Any clues on those sales? Damn how bis is Oz? lol

He's got a break from 18 - 30 May, could be making hols in Oz, or I'm thinking he may come to UK for gigs, but how likely is this if he has to come back 4 one night to Melbourne?

I wonder if the State of Origin game in Melbourne on 23 May is the reason for the long delay? So let;s not get too excited that more is on the cards.

I assumed the break would allow him to do a few dates in Japan and whip back to Melbourne for the final show.

Or could be the promoter is thinking of adding more dates to fill some of the gap.

There can't be mor gigs than this for Oz, i am sure, but I wonder the long break. Somthing is in the pipeline. He'll be adding new countries, or he'll have a vacation indeed 4 twelve days, which is a long holiday!

Something is on its way
