That Ticketek is bull, I had the best seats twice, section 2 and went to press confirm and lost it twice but now have section 38. Going to the Friday concert May 30th in Melbourne. Anyone else going?

I got 2 Gold reserve, will it be a good view? I've never been to the rod Arena before.

Sorry to hear about the problems with Ticketek, but glad you did get some in the end! The 30th May concert is a Wednesday, btw - I'll be there too

Section 38 is one of, if not the best, of the upper tier sections for the symbol stage setup in my opinion.

It's on the side, looking at the piano (which is usually set up on the 'swirl' part of the symbol), as well as the pointy end of the symbol, where Prince spends a good deal of the time.

The beauty of the symbol stage is that there are lots of places where you can feel close to the action, even if your seats are quite far away - I think you'll be pleased with the view from that section.

In any case, have an awesome time!! Is this your first Prince concert?

All, ALL of u guys have no idea how lucky you are. I've been waiting all my life for him to come to Malaysia or at least somewhere in South East Asia. Why can't he stop by here?? I guess one day I'll just have to die regretting that I've never seen Prince in my lifetime.

Yazid, the closest opportunity was Hong Kong back in 2003. I flew over from Singapore back then. You'll just have to fly further afield!

I'm not sure if this helps, Yazid, but I am in a space of absolute and profound gratitude for a lot of things at the moment, including the opportunities we're getting to see Prince next month.

It doesn't get you to a concert any quicker, I realise, but most of us do have an idea of how lucky we are

I just splurged on Java Jazz last month. The missus probably won't be too happy if I fly to Oz for this. But then again...

I've tickets for fri and sat in sydney too. I may have gold VIP the first night...gold something anyway (from a ripoff prebooking site), and I've definitely got gold for the second. I only just bought the second ticket cos I only just got paid. Section 31 from memory .....looks like a good view...not bad for a late buy.

I saw him twice in '92 and once (because I was broke as usual) in 2003. I wasn't sure if I'd get to see him again, but here we go BABY!!!

Ticketek website is saying tickets for a Brisbane show on 26th may go onsale at 10am Monday 23rd April!

it's not on the front page, you need to go in to buy tix for the 18th May show, and there's a little message above the video!

Prince has announced a second Brisbane concert after many fans were left disappointed by apparent Ticketek glitches that meant they missed out on tickets for his May 18 concert.

Promoters Garry Van Egmond and Chugg Entertainment this morning announced Prince will play Brisbane again on May 26 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

Tickets will go on sale on Monday at 10am from www.ticketek.com.au.

Last week fans were left fuming when they were denied Prince tickets after Ticketek would reserve seats but then display an error message when payment details were put in.

“The demand for a second Brisbane concert was obvious and we’re delighted we’ve been able to juggle the touring schedule and successfully negotiate a Saturday night, one week later, on May 26," Mr Van Egmond said.

“We really wanted a Saturday night for those fans who would need to travel.”

“...the itinerary will not allow for a third concert and this will definitely be the last Prince show for Brisbane.”

Prince’s May 2012 visit will be his third tour of Australia and his first in nine years.

Brisbane Show #2!!! Yeah baby!!!

The obvious question though: Why not the 19th? It's a Saturday also, and nothing scheduled at the Entertainment Centre. I know heaps of people from out of town who were/are coming to Brisbane for the 18/5 show under the impression that there would most likely be a show the following night. Oh well, I'm sure there is some reason for it being on the 26/5 rather than 19/5. Maybe they just need that extra week to promote, given how little time there is now until the tour starts. Still, a little early planning goes a long way

But anyway, I'll be there for sure!! Prince & The NPG in my hometown twice? Funk yeah!!

Welcome. I've been a member since the last tour, but only started posting this time around. In between I was just popping in to have a look.

hey everyone, i think it is so fabulous that som many of us ex org alumni are coming back out of the woodwork because of the Aus Tour. I first joined when i was 17 haha.. im 27 now and back with even more funk in my soul

I agree that its bizarre how this stage is being shipped up and down the coast..but if they want to do it that way more power to them, and im so happy for my Brisbane friends getting another show

Cant wait for Sydney meet up..

Something majorly weird is happening with this tour.

Yes it would've made sense to hold it on the 19th and then just pack up for the last Melb show.

Now is seems like he might be taking a (wait for it.......) holiday up north!!!

If I was a Brisbanite i'd be over the thought that he'll be "killing" time in their city!!

Just think of all the suprise aftershows or appearances he'll be making!!??

Why wouldn't he want to spend time in Australia - Australia's beautiful and there's no other place to relax and party hard like Qld.

I'm pretty sure he'll be staying at the Versace hotel on the Gold Coast and will do a few gigs in Brisbane City - probably at The Zoo, Qpac and will probably go hang out at Jade Buddha.

I'm so thankful he's having another show in Qld - see how nice he is to his fans. He's doing it because he knows us Qlders missed out on the good tix because of Ticketek fools. I just love him.

Thanks . Unless it is Mariah or George Michael never will I go through them again if I can. I wasted 6 hours for Mr. Man getting section 2 and then section 1 and hen crash.

Why did anyone miss out on tickets? The Brisbane show is still not sold out.

The main problem seems to be that there are not enough Silver tickets available. But I guess this is a decision made by the promoter and not by Ticketek.

All the unsold Gold tickets will end up on lasttix for less than the price of Silver tickets. They could have just as well offered more Silver tickets to start and no one would be disappointed.
