Whoa, J7 said Wendy played an acoustic set last night with Prince!

I was at last night (sunday) show. Wendy did come out and do an acoustic set in the middle of the show. I'll try to give my rundown of the show; He came on at about 1 a.m. opening with a song i didnt know into "Take Me With U" I dont remember any order or all the songs he played. He played both Beatles' "Come Together" and "The Long And Winding Road", "Guitar" "Play that funky music, white boy" with Nikka Costa."musicology" "black sweat" The highlight was definitely when wendy and he sat on stools with acoustic guitars and played some great,obscure shit. stuff ive never heard him play. "elephants and flowers","little red corvette""raspberry baret" and my personal faves of the night "girl"!! and "pink cashmere"! he ten said something like "u look like u guys are fallin asleep so im gonna play some hits" and ripped thru Vegas-ish versions of "cream" "u got the look""kiss" and closed with "lets go crazy" at just under 3a.m.

I sent an email last wednesday (late I know!) for one g.a. ticket for the 30th show. This was the response I got today.

So, I miss Prince yet again. I haven't seen him perform in several years, I think since the Kodak theatre performance. *tear*

Apparently, the $3G tix are NOT sold out. Surprise, surprise...

So he didn't play any new stuff except Guitar?

I dont know any of the new stuf other than "guitar" so, i cant really say. He did play a few songs that i didnt know which might be new ones. also, i forgot that during the acoustic set with Wendy he played "Reflection" and "sometimes it snows in april"

I was there Sunday, and his first song was beautiful. I'd never heard it before. He didnt' say if it was off the new CD, but I assume it is. It was worth the $321. But darn, I wish he'd start before midnight. I'm still tired and recuperating.
