sorry for those of you in LA...but could this possibly mean the kid is coming back home to Mpls???? i know it's a stretch...but one can hope, right?

Don't worry...that's called "hype" to sell tickets...just like "he's playing his hits for the last time". As long as there are suckers who believe this sort of thing, they'll keep saying it.

Word to the wise: Everyone of us that were foolish/lucky enough to put our credit card info into an email. I would recommend that the day after your show that you call your credit card company and tell them that you lost your card and need another one with a different number on it. Emails go thru lots of servers on the way to getting to Thompson Hotels' server. You have no way of knowing how many people have seen your info.

I know what you mean... ;(

I on the other hand will have to wait until all the LA shows are done, because I'll need my card again to try to score another ticket when the last two shows go on sale and it takes up to ten days to get a new cc in the mail...

Thank God VISA is pretty good at reversing unauthorized charges if it ever happens...

I know what you mean. Credit card and ID theft are no joke. You have to report fraud alert to 3 agencies, your credit card companies, bank, FTC and local police department. Next time I will use reloadable card.

PRINCE'S "3121" LIVE AT
THE HOLLYWOOD ROOSEVELT HOTEL
PRESENTED BY VERIZON WIRELESS, V CAST Song ID
AND THOMPSON HOTELS

In an unprecedented Los Angeles event,
Purple will Reign for seven special intimate performances
starting Saturday, June 23rd at the legendary Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel

Hollywood, CA (June 18, 2007) - Pop music icon Prince will be taking up residency and bringing "3121" exclusively to Thompson Hotels', Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel this summer, presented by Verizon Wireless. For possibly the last time in Los Angeles, the royal purple carpet will be rolled out for his Hollywood homecoming and the artist has chosen the legendary hotel for seven exclusive, intimate performances commencing Saturday, June 23rd, 2007.

Reminiscent to Prince's legendary after hours parties in his Beverly Hills home, a select audience of 200 friends and fans will have an incredible opportunity to witness Prince firsthand in Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel's Blossom Room, home of the first Academy Awards. Known for his spontaneity, Prince has frequently invited musicians onstage for impromptu performances. Past surprise guests have included Sir Elton John, Will.I.Am, Kelis, Sheila E., Herbie Hancock , Maroon 5 and more.

"The 3121 sessions at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel will offer admirers close-up and personal evenings with a musical legend," states Jason Pomeranc, of Thompson Hotels. "We are honored and excited to host, both artists and guests alike, for this once in a lifetime experience inside the Roosevelt's beautiful and historic, Blossom Room."

At the 3121 sessions Prince will debut new music including "Guitar," the first single from his much anticipated unreleased album, "Planet Earth." 3121 guests can download "Guitar" right at the venue for free courtesy of Verizon Wireless' new technology V CAST Song ID.

"When Prince, who has consistently been on the cutting edge of music, harnesses innovative technology to deliver his fresh new music, that's a tremendous opportunity for music lovers," said John Stratton, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Verizon. "At Verizon, we're committed to delivering powerful, direct and relevant music experiences and we are pleased to be executing on this through our relationship with Prince and the legendary Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel."

The evening will begin at the Dakota restaurant with Prince's personal chef Lena Morgan presenting a VIP dinner, taking over the kitchen from executive chef Tim Goodell. Then the 130 special guests, along with another 70 standing room only attendees, will be welcomed into the Blossom Room for a musical performance like no other. Following every two-hour performance, fans can experience a late-night impromptu jazz set presided over by Prince.

VIP packages, including dinner at the Dakota (tax, alcohol, and gratuity excluded), will be limited to 130 seats, sold in pairs (65) for $3121.00. An additional 70, standing room only tickets will be made available for $312.10 each.

Ticket and VIP package requests will be serviced via email at 3121HRH@ThompsonHotels.com

Prince is back in town-- his town, following recent sold-out performances in Las Vegas. 3121 Live at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel will be his last stop before commencing "21 Nights in London" this fall with a possible World Tour to follow.

Wow, just reading through the thread and I have to say, the whole set up with the hotel etc doesnt sound too professional. I'm on the other side of the Atlantic, so I wont be going, but I think the ticket prices are mental, plus this whole business about constantly e-mailing the hotel for confirmation? That is a joke.

I agree with an earlier message - most fans are in their 30-40s and cant drop $312 or $3000 for a ticket at short notice - I couldnt and Ive a good job! I love the Purple man, have done since the early 80s, but I hate to say it - it sounds like plain and simple greed.

Why does it seem to be so difficult being a Prince fan???? hmmm

I've emailed the hotel a couple of times for some more info. This is from two different emails, but the same person answered both.

The show is scheduled for 9:30pm and will call begins at 7pm. We are certainly aiming for those times…I recommend coming for will call around 8pm or right at 7 then leaving and coming back for the show at 9:15pm. Please note that the tickets are first come first serve but the size of the audience is only 200, so whenever you come should be ok.

There is no real dress code for the concert (formal attire is not required). Parking is $28 valet parking located at the hotel.

J7 said that standing room will be behind the tables.. I'm thinking if they can't sell them all they'll have to make more space for the standing folks..

Wondering what a show will be like with Prince playing with the front rows made of blase sitting people... hmmmm I think they might have to revaluate that ;p
