Not for me....you know my feelings about Durant and Draymond Green's a straight-up knucklehead.

The Bay was a nice soft landing for KD.

And Dray is basically Cliff Livingston with an inflated ego.

Them golden Atlanta Hawks forwards Cliff Levingston and Antoine Carr LOL

Bleacher Report thnks Houston is the likely place for Lebron to land. I'm not 100% sure that will work, or that it's even necessary. I mean, we lost Game 7 without our Hall of Fame guard AND we went 0 - 27 from Three Point Land. But hey - maybe Golden State had something to do with that?

If it can work financially, I'd roll the dice and get Lebron. Golden State did that with Durant and it worked out OK for them.

Of course HOU should. They'd gladly sacrifice depth and their precious analytics to sign James and (likely) win a title.

But they've already got 2 superstars who need the ball in their hands. They could make it work.

Lebron sucks the life out of his teammates. I can't see it.

It may be irrelevant re: Houston. According the crawl on "Good Morning America" there's a report that says Lebron James doesn't like Houston.

And if you can't believe a morning show's crawl referencing a third=party report, who can you believe? smile

Levingston was a good player, and a tweener, just like Dray. But Dray has a bigger role than Levingston did.

So for that matter, was Carr, though Levingston IIRC gave you more on the offensive end.

But Dray is allowed to stunt because he's playing with 3 All-NBA guys.

I respectfully disagree again, Oklahoma owner & management punked out when they didn't cut James Harden a extended contract. Once Oklahoma traded Harden to Houston... I think inpart Durant assumed the owner wasn't all that dedicated to winning. I'm sure Oklahoma in hindsight regret their decision, but it is what it is. But Durant said this after winning NBA Championship.

https://sports.yahoo.com/kevin-durant-charges-ruined-nba-making-money-thats-164105770.html

==============================================

Someone posted this over at OperationSports.....it sums up my feelings about Durant perfectly;

"The greatest players had the strength of character to push through adversity and ultimately overcome it. Jordan could have shrunk and resolved himself to being beaten down by the Pistons. He didn't and he became better for it. Kobe could have been just fine losing constantly without Shaq and "getting his". Instead he became better. Lebron suffered the most embarrassing defeat of any modern superstar in 2011. It could have been the end of him. Instead he accepted the challenge and he is a superweapon now.

KD had the Warriors challenge in front of him. Instead of accepting responsibility and overcoming it, he crumbled and then ran away. The tragedy is that he'll never be the player he could have been had he gone through the fire. He's a great player and it's good that he's happy. But he definitely forfeited the right to be mentioned in the same breath as the very best.

They each left their respective teams in search of an easier path to a championship. The key difference is Lebron left a mostly inept organization and a team that simply wasn't going to be good enough to win titles. KD left a team fully capable of winning. In doing so, he refused to take the final step in his maturation.

Getting OKC over the hump was going to require two things from him. Fix the remaining flaws in his game (ie terrible movement without the ball, lazy footwork in rebounding situations ect). Those holes could have been filled up in an off season. Secondly, he was going to have to assert himself as a leader.

All the great players we respect responded the same way when facing career-defining failure. They basically asked themselves, "How do I become better?". KD instead asked, "How do I make it easier?". To his credit, he has acknowledged the fact that he simply is not a leader. But that doesn't absolve him from failing to take responsibility and failing to become better as a player. Both of those things were entirely within his reach had he decided to put forth the effort."

[Edited 6/11/18 15:51pm]

I heard others who share your point of view. In the end, Durant should think about what's best for him. Cuz, owners do what's best for them also... I'll leave it at that.

Nope; what he's saying is that LeBron is the most valuable player in the league. The Cavs will be lucky to win 30 if he doesn't come back. LBJ on your team adds at least 20 games to your win column and gets you into June every year.

Wouldn't you take that for your NBA team?

I'm not a Lebron fan in any sense. His game bores me to tears.

Backing people down, running people over.......that isn't entertaining 2 me.

I think he sucks the life out of his teammates. They stand around and watch the guy. The have ZERO offensive flow on that team.

I certainly would have never wanted 2 play with a teammate like that. I'd rather PLAY with KD, Curry. Kawai, Anthony Davis, and a few others over Lebron.

That is just me.

Are you shocked the Cavs got swept??? Last year with Kyrie, they lost in 5. Going into the season, we all knew Golden State was winning it all. They were great before Durant - his addition puts them on another level (and has thrown the competitive balance out of whack).

I just a report the Warriors are eyeing Anthony Davis.....WTF?????

Here we go again with this nonsense....look at the personnel on that '07 Cavs team. You're nuts if you think they had a chance against a superior Spurs squad. No matter how great you are, one man can't do it all. I guess in your eyes, Lebron's supposed to play the full 48 minutes and lead the team in every category. While we're at it, let's blame Lebron for JR Smith's bonehead play.

Now if want to give Lebron grief for losing to Dallas, I'm with you. I don't know what the hell was going on in that series. But I'm not hating on the man for losing to a much better TEAM.

Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks, but I don't see that, especially from a player who's been criticized for not posting enough.

LeBron is more Magic than Karl Malone. Kobe sucked more life out of his teammates than James does.

The only players who made it to the NBA Finals as many times in a row as LeBron James all played for the Celtics in the 50's/60's: Bill Russell (10); Sam Jones (9); Tom Heinsohn (9); and Frank Ramsey (8).

I guess if Michael Jordan hadn't been on that gambling suspension for two years, he and some of his hangers-on from the Bulls would be on that list too. But they aren't. And best-case, Jordan's number would be 8 - the same as James's right now, and James's streak is still active.

No matter what you think of James, making it to the NBA Finals 8 straight years with three different teams is just plain impressive.

But you were talking sweeps, and that didn't work out, so you move to Finals records.

The closest Magic (my all-time favorite athlete) ever came to dragging a team to the Finals by himself was 1991. And that '91 Lakers team was better than not one, but two teams LeBron dragged to the Finals in 2007 and 2018.

But no, he gets no credit for that? Come on, now.

It seems to me that if winning the championship ring is the reason to compete, then being a "ring chaser" is a compliment.

What's the alternative? Being a "paycheck chaser"?

I'll take a team full of "ring chasers" every time. After all, they win rings.
