But you were talking sweeps, and that didn't work out, so you move to Finals records.

The closest Magic (my all-time favorite athlete) ever came to dragging a team to the Finals by himself was 1991. And that '91 Lakers team was better than not one, but two teams LeBron dragged to the Finals in 2007 and 2018.

But no, he gets no credit for that? Come on, now.

I'm talking sweeps with the ring on the line.

Who the hell cares about sweeps before the Finals?

People who want to be fair to James. lol

Jerry West.....1-8 Finals record

Dr. J.............1-3 Finals record

Wilt Chamberlain.....2-4 Finals record

Wes Unseld.....1-3 Finals record

Bob Petit.........1-3 Finals record

They all must be overrated too.

No one is making excuses for Lebron. I just don't have a bias against him like you do. Otherwise, you'd be hammering Kevin Durant for "championship-hopping".

Bias? Ring chasing, King Flopper, Crying Lebron, fake BROKEN hand Lebron...............what bias?

Who's a bigger ring chaser than Kevin "If You Can't Beat 'Em, Join 'Em" Durant?

Comparing that nonsense to Jordan at 6-0 in silly and just plain dumb.

Anyone with knowlegde of basketball doesn't compare Lebron James to Michael Jordan......different positions, different roles, different overall games. The dude you compare to Jordan is Kobe, because their roles were similar (scoring assassiin/closers). I've always felt Lebron is a hybrid of Magic & Oscar, only much bigger.

Durant historically isn't on Lebron's level, he's not getting mentioned in the same convo with Jordan, Jabbar, Magic etc....... That's why him "Championship Chasing" won't get the same level of hate that Lebron's will.

If the object is to win championships, and you can go to a team that can win a championship, for anyone to criticize that is asinine. No one who has ever played a sport for keeps would ever call someone a "ring chaser" in a derisive manner.

He could have a won a championship in OKC...they had the talent to beat Golden State, but Durant took the easy way out. And remember, when Lebron went to Miami, Durant criticised him for ring-chasing. That's why he gets flamed - not here, but at other sites I go to.

"Now everybody wanna play for the Heat and the Lakers? Let's go back to being competitive and going at these peoples!"

Durant posted that less than a week after Lebron signed with Miami. Now he claims it wasn't meant to be shot against James.....lol.

I wonder if those who call James a "ring chaser" now called him a "ring chaser" when, afer his Heat contract expired and he could have gone anywhere he wanted, decided to go to a crummy Cleveland team and bring them an NBA championship.

Isn't that the exact opposite of a "ring chaser"?

I think a better comparison would be Lebron and Kobe because because both went into the NBA out of high school.

There's a difference between comparing the two and ranking the two. It's fair to debate where they rank in terms of greatest NBA players. That's the only reason players of different molds are in the same conversation, because you're looking at greatest players regardless of position.

I don't think even for LBJ's biggest fans they can lay legitimate claim to 1. That crown stays with MJ.

Not holding my breath for any of them coming to Philly and I damn sure wouldn't mortgage

the future for Kawai. I'm good with the Sixers building through the draft and signing a

second tier free agent.

I guess my personal list is so fluid because I want to account for 21st century players and re-evaluate my biases on the top 5. Honestly, Jordan and Kareem are at the top, with Magic around 2b or 3.

I think LeBron's in my 5 because I could name nearly a dozen players with a legit case for 3-10 and I can't say LeBron takes a back seat to any of them.

Kawhi-to-Lakers is a not gonna happen. It would kill Pop to send him there. Maybe BOS makes a play for him and rolls the dice.

If Ben Simmons can develop an outside shot, they won't need much more help.

Just imagine if they'd drafted Tatum instead of Fultz.

Shaq was saying Embiid needs to get in the paint more. He also needs to work on his endurance.

If the two stars become superstars (unlike the two softies in Toronto), Sixers need a free agent to be that third option, like phunkdaddy said. And keep improving the bench......follow the Warriors example.

These new bigs aren't built like that, Even with the influx of talented bigs coming in as rookies this year, and a deep crop of young bigs in the league now, the 3-ball is valued most.

As it stands, PHI needs a "3-and-D" 3rd option. As you said, they need to find value at the tail end of the draft, like GSW has.
