He even had the arrogance to criticize them celebrating there debut point at the end of the match. He said they were small minded and celebrated like they had won the tournament. For C. Ronaldo it is all about himself.

It's annoying that so many people just call him Ronaldo.
This is Ronaldo:

[Edited 6/15/16 1:39am] There's Cristiano Ronaldo, the diving, cheating, arrogant little prick. Then there's simply, The Real Ronaldo.

I have to say that it is much more time consuming, but also more fun, to endorse Ireland, Iceland and Belgium.
I think both Ireland and Iceland did a great job. They might surprise us. 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

I think both Ireland and Iceland did a great job. They might surprise us. Iceland did really well to get a draw. They're even bigger underdogs than Ireland so I'm happy to see them doing well.

I wanna see England get through and play Germany at some point just to see what sort of chants the fans come up with to aim at the German manager. You know, the knob cheese coated finger sniffer. If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

I don't see Ireland getting another point out of the next 2 games but then again, I didn't expect Northern Ireland to win against Ukraine. There may yet be some hope. I'd say England are more or less through now and I don't see Wales losing to Russia so they should go through too. Northern Ireland still have to play Germany so hopefully other results go their way because they're not beating Germany.

The funny thing is that CR's career has already outstripped Brazilian Ronaldo's by far. By far. Why? Because Brazilian Ronaldo was a lazy ass who never took care of his body, never bothered too much in training and thought mostly about women. CR's merit, in short.

Cristiano is a phenomenal athlete and a brilliant footballer but he resorts to cheating far too often to be considered one of the best. I know all footballers are guilty of bad sportsmanship but he takes it to a whole new level. I remember seeing a clip of a Real Madrid/AC Milan game where one of the Milan players put his hand on Ronaldo's chest to shield the ball and Ronaldo went down clutching his face like he'd been taken out by a sniper. The real Ronaldo may have been a lazy pig who was blighted with injuries but if you take into account how good he was and how many goals he scored as it was, can you imagine how good he'd have been if he'd taken care of himself and gave his all in training and never been injured. He'd be right up there with Messi and Maradona.

C. Ronaldo doesn't cheat any more than beloved players like Busquets, Iniesta (yes, I said it), Xavi (who was always on the ref's ears) or Sergio Ramos. His image has been mythified. As for Ronaldo, unfortunately, history isn't written with an if. CR has reached much higher heights than him and that's how history will remember the two. Too bad.

Cristian R certainly does have ability, but his persona is extremely off putting. Quite apart from the diving, cheating ponce aspects of his game, he's an unrepentantly arrogant arsehole. Even in the current tournament that's plainly evident - he wouldn't swap shirts after the Iceland game, and ridiculed the Icelandic support because he's a petulant little shit who didn't win. Sorry, but there's not much to like, there! More crowd trouble at Czech 2 - 2 Croatia. Seems to be within the Croatian support, fighting each other? This tournament is appalling. The report of him not wanting to swap shirts is untrue. The iceland player said today he swaped shirts backstage with CR. That story came from Bild which is pretty much Germany's National Enquirer.

You are conveniently forgeting Iceland's manager provoked CR in a rather malicious manner. Or shall we just look at the coughing and not the flu?

Because up until this tournament his behaviour has been exemplary, of course. We should just drop it. You like him, that's fair enough. I can't stand him, that's also fair enough. We have no middle ground upon which we could agree, so this is an utterly pointless discussion. He's the most provoked and targeted athlete in the world which doesn't help, does it? But, anyway, you are wrong: there is middle ground. After all, we can both agree he is a football-machine who's going down in history as one of the best. Or am I wrong?
And BTW, are you a Barcelona hipster? One of those neo Barça fans who think Messi, Iniesta etc are the greatest thing in football since Jesus played goalie for Israel?

By coincidence, I have been to a Barcelona match once, years ago, as I was working there for a week. But I'm a Scottish highlander, and I couldn't care less about Barcelona (or club football outside Scotland). My intense dislike for Cristiano Ronaldo has nothing to do with who he does, or doesn't, play for. Well, we were well and truly hammered by Belgium and despite the referee being a bit of a dickhead, especially in the first half when every decision was going Belgium's way, we can have no complaints. They were the better team and deserved to win.

I think you just need to beat Italy 4 -0, with Sweden and Belgium getting a draw....
