It must feel bad for the players, going out on penalties.

Fingers crossed for Wales tomorrow.

Shame Poland didn't pull off a upset, like to see the underdogs win. Good luck to Wales too.

This is not a forgone conclusion for Belgium - who have been patchy

Hopefully Hazard had his best game in the last match

If Wales can keep him and DeBruyne quiet - then they are capable of making a good fist of it

They do know alot of the players in the Belgium team, which is helpful

And they will be bouyed by the England result

Get to half-time at least on level terms, and then it is all to play for!

That Germany-Italy match was nerve-racking! Germany outplayed Italy by leaps and bounds in my opinion, and I cannot BELIEVE Schweinsteiger air-mailed that potential game-winning PK. But Germany ended up winning, which makes my family very happy!

Kudos to Iceland for a great run but dang, the French looked really strong.

Looking forward to today and tomorrow's matches!

I'm not from the UK but I'm cheering on Wales too. I really don't like Bale but he's slightly less of a cheater than C Ronaldo. Unfortunately, I don't see Wales beating Portugal because as much as I really, really dislike Ronaldo, he's capable of winning matches on his own. Plus, that guy with the dread, Sanches, I think his name is, is really good too. Wales only have Bale, Ramsey and maybe Williams but the latter two are suspended.
20 minutes in though and it looks pretty even so who knows?

Those seafoam green kits - yikes! I hope those aren't used Sunday.

Ronaldo was great. Congrats to Portugal. They completely shut down Bale and Wales (kinda rhymes!)

Urgh. France completely outplayed German. Too bad Gomez was hurt, but Germany looked like dog poop from the last-second penalty, until about 5 minutes left in the match. The better team won.

Gary Speed will be proud of Wales cool

France bossed it tonight

If they play like this on Sunday - then it is Les Bleus on the trophy

But never count out CR7...and Nani has had a blinding tournament

Now will Wenger break the bank for Griezmann hmmm

Portugal have stumbled their way through this tournament really. Even against Wales they looked pretty dire except for a fantastic Ronaldo header and a fortunate redirected scuffed Ronaldo shot by Nani. France, if they played like they did last night, should comfortably win. But, its a final and anything can happen. I hope it is a good open game. Finals can be tight nervous affairs that dont deliver the spectacle they promise.

What? Did the show something else where you are? lol Second half wasn't all that but stil better than France. First half they were miles ahead of France, except for the first 5-10 minutes.

I agree, Germany did look better than France for awhile in the first half but they didn't look good, and they didn't get a thing out of their play.

I can't wait for tomorrow's match.

Just saw this. You were right about Portugal. After being on cruise control they put on a very good performance against Wales. I think if they had Ramsey & Williams the Wales team would have had more options. They relied too heavily on Gareth Bale and one man can't beat another team on his own, unless he's Pele or something lol I think at least the Welsh fans can be proud of their team and for getting to the Semi-finals. England didn't have any heart whatsoever and unless they manage to bring in somebody who can re-create the 3 Lions spirit I think in 2018 we'll still be having this conversation about how England failed in the World Cup.

Should be an interesting game tomorrow and I'd like to see France win in front of their home fans again like they did in World Cup'98.

^ Apparently Eddie Howe is being touted as a possible

Not a bad shout if it is to be an English Manager

Inexperienced ...yes... passion...yes...youth & freshness...yes

If we must change and experiment - then not a bad shout

Brazil is a write-off anyways!!!

And so ends the Euro's. Congrats to Portugal. They managed to win without Ronaldo and even though they were second best for much of the match and had a helping hand from some awful refereeing decisions that went in their favour, ultimately, France just weren't good enough to win. Giroud is nowhere near good enough to be playing international football and if Pogba is supposed to be worth 100 million then I'd love to know how much Messi or Neymar would go for.
It was the year of the underdog so perhaps it's fitting that Portugal triumphed over the hosts.

I dont think it will make much difference. The EPL just doesnt seem like the right league in which to be cultivating an entire team from. Too many styles, too many philosophies from all over the world. Its just a mismatch of everything and no consistency. Its exciting and its rich, but I dont think its a very good breeding ground for creating a national team that consists entirely of EPL players. We need some English players playing in other leagues around Europe. Perhaps we should be choosing from the Championship. At least those players know all about fight and determination.

They need to broaden their horizons, try different cultures and learn other languages totally agree. And English clubs need to stop the stupid transfers fees for all British players, then maybe clubs from abroad will start to give more British players a chance.

Agreed!

Would England ever take an out of contract footballer?

Let alone taking Drinkwater (EPL Winner) over Wilshere, who played how many games last season? (And I'm a Gunner!)

All that needs to be said - and England must learn...play your BEST player...not the NAMED player
