One has to develop a thicker skin to post things not only here, but anywhere on the internet. People sit in front of their monitors and think they can say things and it not mean anything to the person who it's directed at. that's human nature.

I myself have received and orgnote asking me to tone down the way I address another orger...and I have tried to be more civil.

I must also agree with Dani, that Zaza's issues extend beyond the org. I first noticed his threads when he was posting about his ex girlfriend...counseling would certainly help many an orger.

Thanks for your concern John

This is a great thread...not at all what I thought it was going to be.

hmmm maybe the people who talk shit about others behind their back and do so to any and every orger who will listen is just....i dunno....jealous. Either that or it's some Bridget Fonda/Jennifer Jason Leigh type shit. I'm talking dudes and dudettes btw. Anybody can be a crazy ass in an orgnote.

Counseling might help. shrug

I'm obviously out of the loop , & personally always late to everything that's not about fashion, Bravo shows, babies or divorces here, so any sort of "alliance" high school stuff always goes waaay over my head. While doI notice people get into spats on threads sometimes, I always hope or encourage all of us to address each other head on respectfully in the thread, and when it gets sticky, to take it behind the scenes and iron it out as best you can with each other so as to not cause a sideshow. When or if it can't be ironed out, hopefully people can just stay in their neutral corners. Or at least I thought how it works out smile

Well now I can't cuz its been deleted. neutral I swear I don't understand why they have to DELETE instead of just locking threads.

You and me both. I had a thread that was about 6 pages and had a couple of posts by trouble makers on the last page. It was deleted...not locked, not edited...just plain old deleted.

It's fucking ridiculous.

I'm sorry Dani.

This is one pet peeve (ok I guess the whole gossip orgnoting and this) that I have with the org.

I was a mod over at NPGU (which was wayyyy smaller, a fraction of this place) but one of the things we vowed never to do was DELETE threads. We didn't do it because over at NPGMC shit he/they didn't like would go POOF! gone. There is really no benefit in deleting a thread other than to tell someone who acted an ass, hey, go ahead and do it again cuz it will be gone and folk will forget about it. Fuck that, when people act out of line, it should be left there for prosperity. If it's locked, that's fine, but let it serve as a reminder for the NEXT time you act like a dick.

Please mods, can we stop just deleting stuff?? beg

There was absolutely no need for Dani's SPCA thread to be gone. So the fuck what if Dwerdre and I got into it? We're both grown folk. I'm sure I can call him/her a kill-joy fucktard and he/she can call me a twat and we can all go on with our lives just fine. neutral

people dont like their toes stepped on and they damn sure dont like to hear the truth...i just so happen not to liken what someone else says to myself, and i think if i were a mod and all i did was comb threads, a few jokers over time would send an instant red flag....however, the catch with that is if you dont really know a person and just dont like what they say, that sorta puts you in the bias column......but hey, what do i owe somebody....I've even gotten a racist warning, which i will ask yo all right now, who thinks im racist....racy maybe....ya know???

maybe they thought the thread was bullshyt and i did say for it to stop...:-/...smh...

I really dont give a fat rat john, it is sad tho that most of flame starts when they deleted the damned thing instead of like they said, putting it on lock.......stop being lazy and snip it...lol

The recent zaza thread brings to a head something that I've been kind of grossed out about for a bit now. Having talked to him directly I know now that at least one instance of behind the scenes orgnoting led (even if just in part) to what eventually escalated to his leaving. I know that I myself get lots of orgnotes from this and that about that and the other. All this behind the scenes orgnoting by folk about other orgers needs to stop (though I doubt it will). I know some folk write others as if they're just letting feelings out, but it really most often comes off as gossip and childish. I was already in high school once. lol

If you have a problem with another orger, call their ass out and deal with it or ignore them altogether.

If the other orger is spreading shit about you, don't go and do the same damn thing by orgnoting every damn person you know to rally troops. It brings you down to their level. DO NOT ENGAGE.

So folk who are trying to rile up and stir up bullshit know that this is so MF lame and cowardly.

It bolis down to this for me: Most, if not all, the folks know that I am not fond of them. I make no secret of it. I saw in threads. I say it to them in org notes and I would say it to their faces. I am reminded many times that the org is not real life. In real life, I get to choose the people I conversate with. The challenge becomes tolerating those who I do not like (and I do believe those I cannot stand here show enough of themselves for me to know we would not get along outside of this place either). Also, the bullying that goes on in this place is freaking ridiculous along with the judgment. I wonder who in the fuck do some of you think you are? For the most part, I just ignore their posts even when I have a legitimate issue with what they say here because I do not want it construed any other way. Yes, I have taken part of "saying things behind someone's back" but none of it is untrue and posting some of the things I say in org notes would get me banned. The people I enjoy immensely here make it worth hanging around this place. Sometimes I have been fortunate to work through my issues with people like JustErin, Dani and myfavorite. It does happen.

There are only a couple people who orgnote me, so I guess I'm not in the loop at all. But I swear, I am PISSED OFF to hear this is going on and I'm not included. I don't care how nasty it is, I want in. I can handle it like the adult I am. So make me happy and send me those forbidden orgnotes.

I'm talking about the nekkid pictures, of course. Screw the gossiping about people behind their backs. I don't want any part of that.

lol

Well, I'm totally out of the loop as well when it comes to all this behind the scenes noting about other orgers. My inbox (and outbox) stays pretty much empty.

"Spreading shit about you"?? lol

Chris is right, this place is like high school...no wait, more like grade school.

This is rubbish Erin and you know it. I was going to orgnote someone and talk smack about you over it but following John's suggestions I think I should confront it here. The only time we orgnote each other is to gossip about orgers. smile

Well, they do crack me up.

You know, I think people need to realize that there is a difference between talking to someone about something they saw posted in a thread and noting people to gossip and talk shit and spread garbage about someone....perfect example is what Dani said was being spread about her. Not one person I talk to on here has done that (at least not with me).

I'm sure the majority of people on here laugh about what they see and read on here...but that's not what I think John was talking about.

Agreed. Completely and absolutely. 100%

More to the point, if they aren't that way in the "real world", why do they think it's OK to act like a rude fool on the internet? There has always been people I'm interested in meeting at the Prince related sites. But their number is much smaller than the amount of people I hope I never have the "pleasure" of meeting.
