First of all, I just don't give a fuck. Say whatever you want about me. Ain't nobody here who really knows me much past barely, so any opinions of me matter not. And I'm not saying anybody has talked a mess, I'm just sayin' I don't care.

Second, if I've got something to say to somebody I'm going to say it to them openly in a thread or in their own damn inbox (I think my posting style here pretty soundly backs that up). Because Jersey is right, and I hated all those negative aspects of high school with a serious passion (so much so that I did most of my final three years on independent study - effa social clique).

Next, other than the occasional (and I mean like, three or four in the last year) orgnote, nobody talks shit about other people to me in private (I rarely get orgnotes in general, though ). Even then it wasn't so much "talking shit" as it was having a casual conversation about something that had taken place in a thread. But honestly, its really easy to stop it from happening without a PSA. Just don't respond to that bullshit and/or tell them to take that mess someplace else.

Honestly, over the last couple months this place has felt more and more like TMZ or a Perez Hilton blog than an artist/music based site (and not just GD, the Prince and Other Music forums are really no better). Its become a serious turn off. Maybe its because its Winter and everybody is stuck inside. Don't really know. I do know that there was an obvious turn from mostly discussion to mostly observation based (which is to say, lacking facts) belittling, judging and finger pointing, and its really not much fun.

I almost deleted my account a few weeks ago (read too many things I just really didn't fuckin' like in here [and I'm still experiencing residuals of the foul mood it put me in]) --- I actually did request it, but they give you 24 hrs to think about it.

I really don't care for bullshit arguing and fighting ~ or much of the snarky negativity I see in here all too often (ok, some of it is deserved, but, I think the world, online and off-, could do better with less of it... ).

People have said some fucked up, completely untrue things about me in cruel threads here in the past -- and I wasn't even posting here at those times (was already a member [have been, almost 7 years], but I've spent most of my online purple time elsewhere).

Twice in the past I had to come here to defend myself and [attempt to] correct lies spread about me b/c instead of addressing me directly on the other Prince sites, the punks would only do all their shit talkin' lies, insults and name calling -- which did hurt.. -- here.

Since those experiences here were really negative and bothered me deeply, I just avoided org altogether for almost 4 years.. I only started coming back sporadically last yr b/c johnart, Genesia and a few others I personally know and love were posting here.

I think most members here are adults, at least in their late 30s, so why is there so much high school or junior high school level BS [still] happening? I wish ppl would grow the hell up already. Life is too short for this shit.

Anyway, after thinking about it, I decided to cancel the deletion request and just leave when I see more stupid shit going down

- besides, if I ever needed to come in here and post something (seems like john's had an operation almost every year I've known him and I usually do his hospital/hernia recovery updates ), it would be a pain in the ass to make a new account (I have no idea if they'd let you use the same username -- and nobody likes a reuser......)

Also I will say this, THE ORG IS A GREAT PLACE, I will defend this place as long as there are still 2 or 3 worthwhile folk hangin in there and posting and making me smile on a daily basis. Luckily there's many more than that still.

So my PSA is not to speak badly of the place, but just to say that that particular kind of behavior bugs the shit out of me. I don't understand (and never will) why people will invest so much into negativity. Who the fuck has the time?

I hear what you're saying (and I think a lot of folk share that hesitation) and I can only speak for myself of course, I'd say it's mostly because, well, I just pretty much don't give a fuck.

I think the forums mean different things to different folk. For me, if I couldn't go on openly about my shit (and laugh at it) it wouldn't be as much fun. I'm like that everywhere tho (other sites and real life).
