EBAY has this ever happened to anyone b4?never seen this in 12 yrs!

ok so i bid on 7 items from one person. one ended yesterday night. she tells me she comibines shipping. so i didn't pay yet.the other items are ending in the next 3 days tops. i'm on my ebay and the 6 items i bid on disappeared. i had like 10 or so of her items in my watch list. a few minutes later they disappeared.

i got a email for each of the 6 items i bid on like this......

fd5d

what the hell. i wanna avoid this seller like she has the plague. i don't want the one item i won from her. now i hope i don't get kicked off ebay or bad feedback cause i won't pay for it. there has to be a reason that her 20-25 bottles she had up of the designer hair care products are gone!

i've been a ebay addict since 1999! never seen anything like this!

so suiting the ad on the side of the screen is for WEN...

Had something similar happen this was due to counterfeit goods. Contacted eBay by phone they refunded my monies as I had paid then a few days later I noticed the seller’s account was no more.

Try contacting eBay I found them rather helpful. If the seller tries to leave negative feedback eBay can overturn this.

The people running Ebay have lost their muthaphuckin' minds. If you're just a buyer, you have no idea all the shyt they put sellers through. I know from firsthand experience that some companies simply do not want their products resold, in particular on Ebay, and they can and will at their leisure file copyright infringement complaints with Ebay to have their products removed from the site. You also have sellers filing false copyright ownership of items in order to get rid of or at least disrupt competing seller's business. What happened to you is not an anomaly. It is becoming more and more frequent. And don't worry about the seller leaving you bad feedback for not paying for any items you won. As of a couple years ago, sellers are no longer allowed to post negative feedback.

That seller could also have a physical store, and when items are bought she has to take down the listing from ebay... Better that than charge you for merchandise that isnt there...

Also, alot of sellers may not actually have the merchandise on hand, and use an outside source for purchasing products and they have may become unavailable...

If she has a decent feedback i wouldnt worry about it.... if you dont follow thru on your bid you will get negative feedback unless you can work it out with the seller by explaining you wanted all of the merchandise not just one item..

I've never had any issues that weren't easily resolved on ebay...both buying and selling...just like anything in life, common sense goes a long way when using ebay...both ebay and paypal are easily accessible and more than helpful solving issues and disputes...

as for your situation, it's not uncommon at all..in fact, it shows that ebay is on top of shit and is stepping in before an issue could arise...

How is it you feel?

Is the same letter in your ebay message inbox? If not, then be careful of phishing or contact ebay.

worst thing that's happened to me is when i buy something (click on buy it now, submit paypal payment), and the seller later e-mails me to say it's been 'dropped and broken' or 'detained at customs' which is clearly a lie and in actual fact the seller is advertising goods that are not for sale.

the e-mail usually comes with a link to an alternate replacement item, which is never as cool as the one i 'bought'. i do find that annoying. but, not enough to stop me from trying again big grin

I have had it a couple of times, I have also had items removed near the time they are due to finish because the person 'dropped them' or whatever which is annoying.

The worst I had was when I sold 2 items to someone on ebay and they then refused to pay and ignored all my invoices, so I contacted ebay to start a case against them. I then recieved some snarky messages telling me I shouldnt have contacted ebay and that I should have contacted him directly. I pointed out I had and asked him to pay for both items so I could send them to him, he then sent another messgae telling me that my postage prices were to far high and I should lower them because he knows how much it costs to send an item of 500gms to Germany from the UK. I emailed back politely pointing out that the combined weight of the items was over 1.5kg and that I was sending them recorded as well as being insured because they were worth over £150, I also pointed out that I had lowered the postage for combined postage and that he had clearly known how much the postage etc was when he bidded and asked again for him to pay for the 2 items. I then got a nasty reply telling me that he had paid for one of the items and demanded I sent it to him and that he would be checking the price of postage and reporting me to ebay. I gave up at that point contacted ebay got them to cancel the transactions, returned his money and banned him from bidding on any of my future auctions as well as leaving negative feedback. I tried to keep cool and work with the guy but I shouldnt have to deal with nasty comments and wait over a month for him to even bother contacting me neutral

Someone most likely offered the seller a buy it now price that they were willing to accept and they took the items off.

no ebay removed all there listings

Unfortunately, the listing is no longer available. We understand that this may be disappointing, but sometimes we need to remove listings to protect buyers.

There are three main reasons why we remove listings:

-- The listing doesn't follow eBay guidelines.
-- The item isn't allowed on eBay or can only be listed under certain conditions.
-- The listing contains pictures or words in it that may have created copyright or trademark issues.

If the seller is able to fix the problem and relist the item, we hope you'll consider buying it. For privacy reasons, we're not able to give more specific details

We have other great deals on eBay. Visit www.ebay.com to continue your shopping today.

My ebay login was created April 12, 1999. biggrin highfive

Yes, I've seen this happen and had it happen to items I was watching.

The most common reason by far is that they've broken an ebay guideline or they are selling an officially licensed product and somebody reported them. It could also happen because they over posted what they really had for sale. Or maybe they lost items.

It's really not a big deal as far as the sellers reputation goes. All that matters in that regard is their feedback. I RARELY buy from someone with less than a 98% positive feedback unless they do extremely high volume (which means somebody will ALWAYS be unhappy about something), there are good responses from them for each of their negative feedbacks, or the negative feedbacks are from stupid people (because sometimes people leave neutral and negative feedback for the dumbest reasons).

As far as you not paying for the item, send a polite request to cancel the sale with a clear reason why ASAP. They send you an email, you accept, everybody is happy.

Just not paying for an item can be reported to ebay and that's worse than getting negative feedback. But in regards to negative feedback, if you're just a buyer, who cares?! What, somebody isn't going to accept your money now because you made a mistake in the past? lol Feedback only matters for sellers unless you're habitually screwing things up.
