Movies that make you cry

What movies have you watched that have made you cry? You try to fight back the tears but it's no use. No matter how many times you watch them, it's over..instant sob-fest. Here's mine:

'Imitation of Life' - I still can't make it through the end of this film without crying. That end scene with the daughter running behind the horse drawn carriage holding her mother's body and screaming, 'Mama, I'm sorry'....Dude, instant waterworks. I try to make it through that scene everytime I watch this film without crying but it just never happens.

'What Dreams May Come' - Very sad movie. First the kids die, his eulogy to his son was heartbreaking, "There's a man Ian never got to know, the man he was growing up to be. He's a good-looking clear-eyed fella... about 25. I can see him. He's the type of guy men want to be around, because he has integrity, you know ? He has character. You can't fake that. And he's a guy women want to be around, too. Because there's tenderness in him... respect... and loyalty, and courage. And women respond to that. Makes him a terrific husband, this guy. I see him as a father. That's where he really shines. See, when he looks in his kid's eyes and that kid knows that his dad really, really sees him... he sees who he is. Then that child knows that he is an amazing person. He's quite a guy... that I'll never get to meet. I wish I had." cry
Then, she gets committed to a mental hospital and released, then he dies and she just loses it and kills herself and ends up in hell. The cinematography was absolutely breath-taking in this film and the acting was soo good. That scene where he's in the rowboat with the girl and he realizes it's his daughter who has taken on a new image after they talk for a few minutes... :tears: . Cuba Gooding Jr. with that line, "Thought is real. Physical is the illusion. Ironic, huh ?" clapping Robin Williams going to hell to find his wife...his soul mate... "Is that a kind of occupational hazard of soul mates ? One's not much without the other ?" Absolutely beautiful story that thankfully has a very happy ending.

'Dumbo' - I seriously cried more on this animated film than I did with 'Bambi'...at least in Bambi you don't actually see the mother get shot. In this, you have to watch as they lock up Dumbo's mom in elephant jail. OMG, the scene where she sticks her trunk threw the cell bars to rock him to sleep as she's singing to him just broke my heart. I'm about to cry just thinking about that scene...soo sad. sad

'My Girl'- I remember the first time I saw this, how mad I was that Mackaulay died. I was like, WTF?!?! as I sobbed like a 2 year old who had just lost their favorite toy. Seriously, that was an f-ed up way to end the movie but it was still such a good film.

What are your cry films?

Lion king...seeing Muphasa (Dont think I spelt it right) being killed always gets to me..Poor Simba sad

Titanic-...Saw it when it opened and I was a Leo freak..My 15 year old self could not handle him freezing to death. Very devastating for me.

There are tons of others I'm sure..I like sappy movies

A bit off topic but, "back in the day" AT&T commercials use to tear me up every time.

Now it's the new commercials for Disneyland. Damn them! As if I don't already want to go so bad already!! Those damn commercials where they show parents surprising their little kids with telling them they're going to Disneyland.

The kids are so damned adorable!!! So happy, surprised and excited, sooooo cute.

I swear it tears me up. LOL
