I'll see if it's on Netflix... cool

no, you probably won't cry at all, it was nowhere near sentimental or emotional porn - as only americans can make razz

oh I fogot to put El Orfanato on my list

that was brutal confused

True.

Peter Falk was great.

"Field of Dreams" when he asks his dad to play catch.

"On Any Sunday" when they freeze frame the kids jumping on their bikes at the beginning of the movie.

I've seen that movie at least a dozen times - and that line gets me every damn time. mad

What movies have you watched that have made you cry? You try to fight back the tears but it's no use. No matter how many times you watch them, it's over..instant sob-fest. Here's mine:

'Imitation of Life' - I still can't make it through the end of this film without crying. That end scene with the daughter running behind the horse drawn carriage holding her mother's body and screaming, 'Mama, I'm sorry'....Dude, instant waterworks. I try to make it through that scene everytime I watch this film without crying but it just never happens.

This movie ain't no joke! I haven't watched it in years but if I do I just KNOW what's gonna happen.

The 1934 version is better. Isn't it, johnart? nod

I mean...the 1959 is Douglas Sirk - so it's gorgeous and all. But the story is much better in the original.

And Fredi Washington was just stunning as Peola.

It would probably be easier to list the ones that don't make me cry. I shed a tear way to easily with a sad storyline.

The last movie I saw that made my cry was Despicable Me.

I cry far too easily. I even cried watching Supernanny this morning.

Well there's so much visual style, angst, insanity, and brutal humor in the movie, that I just don't get to a really sad state of mind as much as a shell shocked one.

I remember tearing up when I saw Seven Pounds in the movies too. Edward Scissorhands is sad also...esp. the ending of that movie. I have to be in the mood to watch it.

I know. I want to hate it because it's ssssoooooooo sappy - and nowhere near as good as The Shop Around the Corner (1940 Ernst Lubitsch with Margaret Sullavan and James Stewart). But it sucks me in every time. disbelief

I feel better knowing I'm not the only one. (I have a good friend who's the same way. Bonus: My friend does an awesome impression of Meg Ryan typing that always makes me giggle and nearly spit out my drink.)

Another bonus: Meg's apartment in the movie is in my late brother's building on W. 89th. His apartment was scouted but deemed too small, so they went with another one in the building. And that park is right nearby, and I love to walk through it. So I feel a somewhat sentimental attachment to the film on top of all the rest of the love/hate I feel for it. lol

I love that! Romantic movie set in a real-life familiar park would likely send me over the edge as well.

As long as "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" was in the background purse
