Paul McCartney and MJ's duets

I have always loved Paul's features with MJ. Take for instance "Say Say Say" that was on PAUL MCARTNEY Pipes of Peace album. The video IS EMAZING!!!!! Cartney is old but MJ is so deliciously sexay in the video. The jerri curls and that sexi straight full white teeth smile, bawl gawd I miss him. See video below and give your thoughts? Whose vocals did you like better between MJ and Pual on PAUL MCARTNEY'S Say Say Say song?

Disclaimer: But oh this thread is not about MJ I promise. thumbs up!

It was a fail for Paul to collab with MJ vocally because it shows just how weak his vocals are compared to him, thoughts? I feel the same way about their other duets.

Yes, my thoughts are -- that's crazy.

.

Paul was in his 40s at Pipes of Peace (1983) and starting to pass his peak, vocally. ("Say, Say, Say" is hardly the kind of song that taxes either man's voice anyway.)

.

I suggest you listen to this before you declare Paul's vocals a "fail" in comparison to Michael:

That's Paul on vocals, guitar, bass, piano, and drums, btw.

.

There's another duet between them on Pipes of Peace called "The Man". It has a pretty melody but is awful, sounding saccharine and fake with meaningless lyrics.

Its a McCartney song with Jackson singing back-up
so definitely like McCartney's vocals over MJ's.

Okay so someone said Paul's vocals were better than the Kang's? How? And in what universe? PLEASE elaborate for us all? MJ is sanggging on Say Say Say. MJ should have kept that song for himself.

Between these three: Which one is the best duet?

Thanks sis, but after listening to that song I still think

MJ wins by a land slide.

Thanks for the song biggrin , I love the emotion Paul conveys when he sings and he has a lot of personality but in all his duets with Michael its pretty clear MJ is the stronger vocalist.

Many have looked at me "funny" when I've said this in the past, but in my humble opinion..."The Girl is Mine" is the best track on 'Thriller'.

To me, it's the one "real" song on the album. Everything else has that 80s electronic sound...not a bad thing, but 'The Girl is Mine' stands out as true musicianship. Kinda basic, but still awesome.

Agree, the simplistic nature of the song and mellow production is why I love it.

I liked it as a kid (of course), but I honestly think it's one of MJs more overrated tracks. boxed

Forget the vocals. I still can't get my head around LaToya being casted as Michael's 'love interest' - why? It's so creepy.

I think I prefer the rawer demo version of The Girl Is Mine... I normally love everything Quincy does, but I think his production smothered the life out of that song a little bit.

I like all of the MJ/PM duets... I'm glad I got the new Say Say Say vinyl late last year.
