But the question is what is the disagreement? I posted MY thoughts/opinion about Janelle's Pepsi commercial and her usual masculine-attire...I also posted MY thoughts/opinion about B-Girl and her attire....You don't have to like what I have to say when I post my thoughts about Celebs but you're NOT a Moderator and you have not been given the privilege to police members on this site...That's not my opinion that is a Fact...

Your right I dont and I have a right to express that. lol You seem to think I am wrong for disagreeing with you lol

Nobody is policing you. I am just expressing my opinion on a post that you made. Your upset because I am criticizing it. This is a discussion board and people have a right to disagree with a post. I thougt it was weird how you scolded Janelle on her attire but rave about Beyonce when she wears the same ol leotards.

^ Agree to everything stated above, nod but I have notice this througout her career. Her hype has never accurately reflected how the general public feels about her, her music, brand etc. The general consensus from what I see on social media and just in generally is that she is overrated and overexposed. How can you have 20 grammys but NO classics? The public gets to decide that...not you.The receipts don't add up. Her fame is contrived and all those awards are fake/illusion. She is not a super star. She is a media star.

Very true! But what you can't deny is Beyonce has worked VERY hard to get the success and super stardom that she's achieved. Every since she was a little girl (Like your idol MJ).You never hear stories of her partying, drinking ,doing drugs.hanging out, sleeping around like the other that shall remain nameless. She deserves all her success. Because she's put in the work. Even though everything is "calculated"...

It's pathetic really. You should NEVER believe everything you read and see on tv and you especially need to discerning and question everything you read that's reported in the press. A lot of stuff that get's reported isnt true or only partially true--that doesnt just apply to celebrities but news in general. One major thing that people should learn in regards to Beyonce's PR machine is that journalists can be bought. All this fanning and fanwning over that they do over her in her articles is all the result of them getting paid $$ to do it. She's not the first person to do it and wont be the last--this type of thing has gone on for ages, but it does happen and quite frequently. A lot of people seemt to not even realize they are being manipulated and mind controlled by all the propaganda that gets put out there by people with agendas.

She has not worked hard to achieve her status. Basically everything she has earned has been given to her on a silver platter because of tokenism. Do you honestly think she deserves 20 grammys? What songs or albums has she made that will stand the test of time? What has she done that has been innovative? I take offense to you comparing her to MJ who actually worked hard to create, to take risks and to grow as a musical artist. He even switched up his performances. Beyonce pretty much does the same thing over and over again and gets awarded for the same boring, mediocre and lack luster out put. She is not a authentic artist or creative visionary. She does what she is told to do and follows trends. She is factory made. She is no different from Britney Spears EXCEPET Britney was actually likable and actually has memorable songs. I still haven't seen no newcomer reach the popularity peak of Britney in this new millenium.

Most likely a Coldplay track was too complex for Beyonce. Remember, most tracks within the Beyonce song catalog are simple [and NOT in a good way!].

that's true

To be fair, MJ's performances were basically the same night in and night out. They were complex, theatrical and very well-executed, yes but each tour had its own dedicated set list and stuck to it for as long as said tour lasted.

Also, I'd say Gaga was pretty doggone popular. I can't say for sure if her peak of popularity in 2009/10 was higher than Britney's in 1999/ 2000 but she's easily the hottest artist we've had this decade outside of Adele who has her beat in terms of album sales.

Otherwise, I agree.

You seem VERY bitter toward her! I do agree with some of the things you've said about her. But I disagree with her "doing what she is told to do". Maybe when she was under her father's wings. But she has pretty much ran her career since she fired her father years ago. I will not comment any further on what you've said about Mj. I'm not speaking negatively of him anymore. I respect that he isn't here anymore to defend himself. Also out of my admiration of his talented sister Janet.

But I still stand by my statement that she is a hard worker. No matter who or what she did to get to where she is at today.

Nah!

The one thing about her that absolutely can't be overstated is her work ethic.

Like Will Smith was quoted as saying," You may be smarter than me. You might be more talented than me. But the one thing you will not do is work harder than me."

I think that applies to Beyonce as well.

I am not bitter. I just find her ridiculously overrated, overexposed, arrogant, obnoxious and insecure. She has done a lot of hateful nasty things toward other people so she gets no sympathy from me and there are plenty of people who have worked twice as hard as her and get less recognition. Thats MY opinion and it ain't changing. bored2

But Michael's choreography was ICONIC so to a degree some things was repetitive. However, I was referring to how he evolved his performances over time. His performances from Thriller Era are not EXACTLY the same from Bad Era and so forth. You can tell his era of performances apart and he did not wear the same outfits, costumes, hair styles etc.

Gaga was popular for sure...... but not as popular as Britney. Britney is amongst one of the biggest selling artists of all time. She has a diamond album too. I am not a huge fan of hers but her success often gets slighted for whatever reason.

An artist who hardworking is an artist like Jaziman Sullivan who not only writes her own music but also writes for other artists. Personally I think it's weird that two of the three singers featured had already had performances within the past three years. I think that takes away from how special and "once in a lifetime" the halftime show is supposed to be. Hopefully we'll never have to see Beyonce again at the halftime show but I am guessing she'll find another way to crash the party again in the future.

I agree. There is absolutely no need for the same artists to appear a few years later! There are dozens of other artists and bands who they could have chosen. But like you said, the shameless Beyonce will find a way to appear on it again....just watch.

I saw someone in a different thread (or maybe this one) who suggested Foo Fighters. I think that would be a great choice for the next show. Hopefully they will give it a rest with the pop artists for at least 3-4 years!
