She's so "pro black" that she sings about being proud to be "Creole and French" whofarted

Yeah I heard that part of the song and was like "OMG....she's ridiculous"....seriously, ALL of us are Creole and French in America if we trace back 250 years like she does....

Boo why did you watched this mess?

That is what pisses me the FUQ off! She is always trying to associate herself with MJ rolleyes rolleyes rolleyes rolleyes

And I don't think its geniune. I think she does it to be calculating and so people can associate her with him. She is such a overrated bish. She will NEVER be MJ, only in her dreams. neutral I didn't even watch it and people were saying her performance was boring.

[Edited 2/7/16 18:14pm]

Believe me when she came out I was looking at my phone most of the time and then only looking back up a few times. She ALWAYS tries to rip off MJ and compare herself to him. It makes me sick! She does the same old lame ass shaking and hair flipping and in her song that she did today she was bragging about being "Creole"....WTF, I wish she would just sit down somewhere!

Home girl loves bragging about being Creole. It's so sad. What's the big deal?? Anything to be less black I suppose.

She purposely associates with his brand so people can associate her with him and I don't think its geniune. It is calculated.

I'm not so sure about it though.

I mean she rode the Tina Turner train so hard that that seems to be all people associate her with.

I hear that more than even her most obvious influence, Ms. Jackson.

I hardly hear references to MJ.

I agree. She'll NEVER be on his level. EVER. But I'm sick of her (and her team) trying to make it out as if she's on his level. She's a "Razzle Dazzle" chick who can't perform without ass shaking, leotards or ten pounds of weave and makeup to look "Creole"...

She ripped off MJ at her Super Bowl performance in 2013

She dressed up as Janet and her daughter as Michael (and called Paparzi to take photos)

She references Michael in her songs

She requested to have her clothes next to Michaels in the RHOF museum.

Now, she copied Michael's entire Super Bowl performance and dressed like him.

Her PR plant's stories comparing her to Michael.

She definitly wants to be associated with Michael.

I find it outrageously disrespectful because SHE does not get to decide that. She is very full of herself and very overrated. She can keep thinking that in her looney head though.

Exactly! She wants to be him so bad or at least seen as the female version of him. But she will NEVER EVER be him, no matter how badly she wants it. Michael was something special and had a God given gift. Michael was unique and a creative visionary who thought outside the box. Beyonce does not have that creativity nor the ability to think outside the box. That's why she stay doing the same ol tired booty shakin routines wearing the same old tired leotard with the same old 25lb blond stringy weave on her head. That and jacking off other people's work or style and trying to pass it off as her own.

Michael Joe Jackson was a gift from God. Michael was blessed with God given talent that occurs once in a life time. He was a NATURAL show man. His gift is something that can not be taught or duplicated. He was gifted not only with talent but possessed a unique personality which attracted many people all over the world. Michael was original, innovative and speacial. Michael was not just a artist/entertainer for people. Michael was a hero. He meant so much more to people besides just being a singer and a dancer. Its hard to put in words the magnitude of his reach and influence. People could connect with Michael not just with his persona but on a spirtual level. He is irreplacable and can not be duplicated and that is ..really not up for discussion. He used his platform to speak out against the evils of the world and tried to bring awareness to social and worldly problems. People geniunely loved Michael... sigh ya'll really trying to make me write a damn essay Michael. lol

******

Beyonce is a factory made star. She can be easily duplicated....period. She is very mediocre and average but she has a good work ethic and was trained to be what she is today. Michael was born with his talent which is the difference. Beyonce makes disposal music which is why she will never be a legend and which is why I have never been that impressed with her. She is not even the best selling artist of her generation. Nor is she the best singer, dancer and performer. You can get any light skin black girl, put a blonde weave on her, teach her some dance moves and give her some trap ratchet music with an ok voice and there is Beyonce. Her is relevance is mainly due to social media not because she is prolific as an artist. If this was the 80's or 90's she would not be nearly as popular.

Yeah I remember hearing about the fiasco with the Hall of Fame display. She didn't want to be in the section with Bruno Mars and a few other artists. She forced her way into the David Bowie, MJ section BUT I didn't know that she wanted her clothes next to Michael's....I swear. She is ridiculous!!!

You're right. She most definitely wants to be associated with Michael.

Agree with you about Michael. Don't feel bad, go ahead and write the essay about Michael! LOL! I am listening to his music right now as we speak so go for it wink Well, I believe her "work ethic" is also a lot of hype. There are people who work in coal mines 12 hours a day who don't get months or weeks off of vacation in between. Like any other artist, she signs contracts that make her legally bound to deliver on things so it's not like she can just willy nilly back out of contracts. How do we know she isn't other wise lazy? Yes, I agree that you could take any black girl out of a Baptist church below the Mason-Dixon line, teach her how to shake her ass and have shitty music and you'll EASILY have another Beyonce. Now, can we get the average black man off the street in Gary, Indiana or Minneapolis, MN and turn them into the next Michael or Prince? Hell no! Here's a video that shows many other girls can do JUST WHAT Beyonce does.....

BINGO! And that's what people like Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Bieber, Chris Brown, etc fail to realize...they all wanna be like Michael. But Michael was a true ARTIST who had many different inspirations that he incorporated into his work and still managed to put his own touch on the many things that had inspired him. That is the mark of a true artist---you have several different sources of inspiration, you pull from them and yet put your own spin on it. Plus the great thing about Michael's inspirations was that he wasnt just inspired by other music and dance icons like Fred Astaire, James Brown, Sam Cooke, Jackie Wilson, Charlie Chaplin, etc. But he was inspired by other things like animals, children, Disney, magic, art, books he read...and he also pulled from those things and was able to incorporate them into his music and performances nod Beyonce and the like only base their inspiration on ONE person, but to be truly great, you need to be inspired by more than just one thing or person.

Yes and THAT is what makes the difference. I think the performance tonight was just so "blah"...all she does is dress half naked, shake her ass, flip her "hair" and then stomp around. It's so cliche. There's nothing original about her. I think Jay-Z pulled a fast one on Coldplay because it ended up looking like they were an after though. I dunno. Seems like Coldplay just wasn't the right choice at all.

Despite it being a clear ripoff of MJ, it's being touted as a "tribute" to the Black Panther movement....

Sad that my Carolina Panthers lost but the Halftime show was decent..Coldplay did all they could do and they had no other choice but to add a couple of Pop Stars to Livin things up...Not the Best Halftime Show but certainly not the worst (Re: My Patti-Patti & Tony Bennett, who would've thunk Two of The Greatest Entertainers ever would deliver a confusing & very Bland Halftime show)....

May the Lord bless Beyoncé, queen of life, education, existence, morality, wisdom, feminism, pro-blackism. A true modern-day prophet, Beyoncé has blessed us with her same ol' same ol' choreography and dance routine she's been showing us for the last 10 years. She even wore an MJ jacket to further maintain her credibility of being a messiah in the footsteps of previous messiahs like Michael Jackson.

It's crazy that Beyoncé had to suck all these NFL dicks to be a part of this show. Unlike Bruno, who was actually ASKED to curate the show back in September.

Coldplay had big potential. I imagined this arena-moment with Viva La Vida being one of their stadium hits. Singing those songs in plain daylight was such a mess.

Gaga was a hit. I always preached about her being a good singer.

Now Bruno Mars is always the kind of entertainer who brings something fresh to the table even in the most unfreshable situations like this one where he was asked to perform on Halftime presumeably only cause of Uptown Funk being the biggest song in the past two years. Yet, he changed the choreography, I even read he proposed a dance battle to warm up the show. He's really gifted. As for the dancing part, any true hooligan wasn't actually surprised cause his fans always knew of his dancing abilities. lol lol lol lol

Well, that was sh*te!!...

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...halftime shows that are a mish-mash of different artists don't work. The reason Prince's show is the best is because it was just him and the band, and he put the music first.

Sooooo disappointed in Coldplay. Were the band miming most of the show? Martin sounded like he was singing (though not very well) but the band sounded way too close to their singles so be playing live. Bruno and Beyonce added nothing other than lots of strutting around.

Get the Foo Fighters there. Long overdue and they will nail it.

...oh, and that had to be the worst rent-a-crowd ever! Was it me or did they all look identical and were doing the same single dance move through the whole thing? If it was a real crowd they'd have been standing there motionless filming the whole thing on their mobiles...I'm not sure what's worse!!

The only bit I thought was nice was Coldplay doing 'Fix You' and seeing pics of Clarence Clemons, MJ and Whitney sad
