The Super Bowl halftime show was weak for it to be celebrating 50 years. The only enjoyable moment was Bruno Mars who slayed it for the crowd once again. They should have asked Janelle Monae to perform instead of stale ass, stank weave Beyoncé. URGH.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

May the Lord bless Beyoncé, queen of life, education, existence, morality, wisdom, feminism, pro-blackism. A true modern-day prophet, Beyoncé has blessed us with her same ol' same ol' choreography and dance routine she's been showing us for the last 10 years. She even wore an MJ jacket to further maintain her credibility of being a messiah in the footsteps of previous messiahs like Michael Jackson.

It's crazy that Beyoncé had to suck all these NFL dicks to be a part of this show. Unlike Bruno, who was actually ASKED to curate the show back in September.

Coldplay had big potential. I imagined this arena-moment with Viva La Vida being one of their stadium hits. Singing those songs in plain daylight was such a mess.

Gaga was a hit. I always preached about her being a good singer.

Now Bruno Mars is always the kind of entertainer who brings something fresh to the table even in the most unfreshable situations like this one where he was asked to perform on Halftime presumeably only cause of Uptown Funk being the biggest song in the past two years. Yet, he changed the choreography, I even read he proposed a dance battle to warm up the show. He's really gifted. As for the dancing part, any true hooligan wasn't actually surprised cause his fans always knew of his dancing abilities. lol lol lol lol

If Beyonce is the messiah as you say, why would she have to ask to perform then? I knew that heffa asked and begged.

It was sarcasm, girl. biggrin biggrin

Beyonce's as manufactured as a Javel water product.

And just as I predicted, and on cue, Beyonce's paid PR team is out in force touting HER performance in the Halftime show as the best of the night barf

The night Beyoncé won the Super Bowl

...Also, a band named Coldplay and singer named Bruno Mars performed.

I didn't see the halftime performance so no comment.

I heard Lady Gaga's performance on the radio driving home. Based on my audio-only experience, I didn't think she was all that great. I guess seeing her visually, as well as seeing the Blue Angels, must have added something. But just hearing it?

I thought she could have done much, much better vocally.

Well, that was sh*te!!...

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...halftime shows that are a mish-mash of different artists don't work. The reason Prince's show is the best is because it was just him and the band, and he put the music first.

Sooooo disappointed in Coldplay. Were the band miming most of the show? Martin sounded like he was singing (though not very well) but the band sounded way too close to their singles so be playing live. Bruno and Beyonce added nothing other than lots of strutting around.

Get the Foo Fighters there. Long overdue and they will nail it.

Foo fighters would be excellent! Hopefully someone will listen.

Well, looky here! More "accolades" from the press. I agree with you. This was planned like everything else. She's promoting a new song, tour, etc. so of course they have to pay off the press to write these kinds of stories. What a joke.

Lol. Crazy how the press is all about Yawnce's ass. Sure there's $$ involved. As always.

It sickens me how true artists like Bruno don't get a mention. Especially Bruno, anyone in his right mind would say that he was the true highlight of the event, Beyoncé was blatantly staging her Tour comeback and shit... But not only this time, over the past 3 years in events like the VMAs, The GRAMMYs... Bruno, Kendrick, and a handful of talented artists always delivered the finest performances yet they weren't acknowledged by the press. Hell, even when Bruno did the Super Bowl the NY Times and The Guardian threw some silly shade over him being a "retro" act. They could've as well shaded Beyoncé for ripping off MJ's jacket, but you know, she's Queen B and she manipulates the media however she wants. She doesn't get Adele sales, she'll go even harder on the media, she'll pay the Academy to win them Grammys, she'll do everything to stay in the spotlight for much longer. What a sick human being she became confused confused

You guys do realize Bruno Mars is not a critics act though right?

I've read some very harsh things about him from critics.

He's one of those artists that are very popular but is a critcs nightmare.

"Sentimental", "corny" and "retro" are frequent comments about him.

Suffice it to say I doubt he could even buy good comments at this point. Only from the few critics that actually like him.

I disagree. Yes SOME critics have been harsh on him but I've seen many more praise him for being the great talent and incredible live performer that he is. A few harsh critics dont speak for all music critics wink Many more have applauded him and recognized him as a true talent and gifted artist.

Yes to all of this. I wouldnt be surprised if Beyonce even paid some critics to shade Bruno while praising her. She's a spotlight whore and a glory hog. Anybody better than her she sees as a threat, and she dont wanna share the spotlight and glory with ANYBODY!

IIIII wouldn't bet on that. It may a few years before it happens again but considering her ambition and the machine behind her.... I wouldn't be surprised if she did.

Wow, you guys are so full of hate. Gaga was pretty good and the halftime show was good too. I don't understand all the hate and race comments, but I guess I should've expected it on this site. It's the norm around here, unfortunately.

Couldn't agree more. I thought the show was great, all of them delivered in their own way. Nothing fake about Beyonce, she's just a commercial entertainer. Not my bag particularly, but she does what she does well. Some people are always trying to look for an angle to hate on.

This site is disappearing up it's own serious backside.

I think, from now on,artists should stop having guest stars during their halftime show. It's played out! I was enjoying Coldplay but then all of a sudden,I see these unnecessary guest stars invading the show with their noisy, chaotic music and dance moves cool It ruined the flow.

Beyoncé does the same, exact routine during every performance. bored

Yeah I think the show sucked really. I don't know what happened with the audio, it was terrible. I also think it was a mistake to have Coldplay and it seemed to soon to see Beyonce again. I dunno. I guess the Super Bowl Entertainment Committee is running out of ideas!
