Opinions here in the org are different from those in mjhideout in the spanish Michael Jackson's forum; they say it was a letdown.

Would did they expect? MJ to be cloned back into existence to be interviewed especially for the documentary. SmH

They're fans of mj the brand, not mj the musician, which should count all his efforts, group and solo, every single one. To me he always kicked ass but to deny his past and the players involved despite opinions of his family is to musically deny who he was and how it shaped who he became and what he contributed all around the world in all eras. He was never some throwaway broad who appeared from the sky to do off the wall/thriller, he did it from a rich, authentic musical history

Exactly! This was AMAZING! It also showed the history that lead to Off The Wall. Which is the most important with his brothers & Motown. I loved the letter he wrote mapping out his future. Mj was so focused & disciplined.

When I met Spike a couple of weeks ago, I hadn't yet seen it or I would have giving him a hug for it.. biggrin

He was so sweet and down to earth at the bad 25 showing, I wanted to hug him too. We made eye contact during the question/answer session but there was not enough time left so he never came back. I think someone had asked him if he would consider making a special about dangerous or maybe a documentary on Stevie's music.

That's not why some people felt it was a let down.

A lot of people felt there were not enough focus on the making of the album and commentary from the people who were involved with The Jacksons and OTW. Too much from people like Kobe, The Weeknd, and Rosie and not enough from Marlon and Jackie, David Foster, Stevie, Greg Phillinganes and Jonathan Moffett. People also wanted more concert footage

I loved it but and got what I wanted but I and friends of mine wanted to see at least one full song

Well they had to appeal to us and the general public. How else can they market mj to a young audience? Time is flying and people are forgetful if things aren't current. Having the weeknd on there was a great idea, it's called marketing, win-win

Well Quincy didn't want to be there and maybe others passed on or just we're not available or keeping their mj memories sacred cause the world doesn't deserve them and doesn't have that entitlement anymore after what was done to him

Your butt is mine
Gonna tell you right
Just show your face
In broad daylight
I'm telling you
On how I feel
Gonna hurt your mind
Don't shoot to kill
Come on

Come on
Lay it on me
All right

I'm giving you
On count of three
To show your stuff
Or let it be
I'm telling you
Just watch your mouth
I know your game
What you're about

Well they say the sky's the limit
And to me that's really true
But my friend you have seen nothin'
Just wait 'til I get through

Because I'm bad, I'm bad come on
You know I'm bad, I'm bad come on, you know
You know I'm bad, I'm bad come on, you know
And the whole world has to
Answer right now
Just to tell you once again
Who's bad

The word is out
You're doin' wrong
Gonna lock you up
Before too long
Your lyin' eyes
Gonna tell you right
So listen up
Don't make a fight
Your talk is cheap
You're not a man
You're throwin' stones
To hide your hands

But they say the sky's the limit
And to me that's really true
And my friends you have seen nothin'
Just wait 'til I get through

Because I'm bad, I'm bad come on
You know I'm bad, I'm bad come on, you know
You know I'm bad, I'm bad come on, you know
And the whole world has to
Answer right now
Just to tell you once again
Who's bad

We can change the world tomorrow
This could be a better place
If you don't like what I'm sayin'
Then won't you slap my face

Because I'm bad, I'm bad come on
You know I'm bad, I'm bad come on, you know
You know I'm bad, I'm bad come on, you know
And the whole world has to
Answer right now
Just to tell you once again
Who's bad

Because I'm bad, I'm bad come on
You know I'm bad, I'm bad come on, you know
You know I'm bad, I'm bad come on, you know
And the whole world has to
Answer right now
Just to tell you once again
Who's bad

Who's bad?

that entitlement, that false sense of entitlment is the primary reason why the pendulum shifted and how everything got thrown off track..........this is definitely part of the story

We got a nice teaser of don't stop till you get enough still. Maybe the brothers agreed to be part of it but be subtle at the same time. I think they did well.

Rihanna Has More No. 1 Hits Than Michael Jackson

The Bajan singer has now accumulated more no. 1 singles than the late King of Pop.

Reports the New York Daily News:

“Work” — the 28-year-old’s recent collaboration with former flame Drake — topped the Billboard singles chart on Monday, making her the third artist in music history with the most No. 1 singles.

The “Thriller” singer had danced his way to the top 13 times. Rihanna fittingly surpassed him on the same day she dropped a steamy music video starring the “Hotline Bling” singer.

The only other two artists with more top hits are The Beatles, with 20 songs, and Mariah Carey, with 18.

Before you go there—has Rih Rih made a Off The Wall or a Thriller? Exactly.

Props to Rihanna, though. No disrespect to the Navy.

I don't care what Billboard (or anyone else) says. As far as I'm concerned, Michael had 18 #1 songs (4x Jackson 5, 12x solo, 1x with McCartney and We are the world).

Was also going to point that out, j5 set a record with their first 4 singles going to number 1, that has to count.
