I actually think R.Kelly handled this with class and the interviewer was rather disrespectful. The reporter was unprofessional and if R.Kelly doesn't want to answer a question, he doesn't have too. shrug

I did not call him classy. I said the way he handled the interview was classy. I have seen a bunch of celebrities cuss out reporters or become irate and he seemed to handle her hostility with ease.

He said that R.Kelly and "class" don't belong in the same sentence, he didn't say that you called R. Kelly classy. And it's true, a man who's peed on a minor doesn't deserve to have the word "class" placed in the same sentence as him.

I agree and I am not defending R. Kelly. I was just clarifying what I was referring too when I mentioned class in the sentence.

The reporter definitely had a vendetta against him and was VERY unprofessional. He told her over & over that he wasn't answering anything negative and would walk out. She didn't obliged. He was respectful and handled himself very well. She even sweared! She should be suspended.

Publicity all the way, he was interrupting from hello, like bill o Reilly talking to Obama, but seriously why are we still even talking about this clown? I mean even take away the girl incident, and you have the shambles of him an jay z, the Unprofessional behavior that got him booted and to my memory he's been booted or dropped from tours before and shows, so this is a plain and simple promo a la Kanye attempt to pump some sales to a dead album.

It is his strong catalog of hits that sustains his fanbase. As far as the controversy is concerned, he addressed it for the last time in his book that was released a few years ago. Regardless of what people think of his past, he remains a big draw as a live act and the festivals that did decide to "drop" him did so for their own publicity.

I saw R Kelly live for New Years Eve before and although he was very late. He completely impressed me with his vocal acrobats. He has practiced his voice to perfection! He sounds better than he ever sounded before. Also was very impressed with his soul train performance. He is just one hit away from another comeback.

I just wonder how much longer it's going to be before he apologizes publically....I dunno, seems it's time for him to do that if he hasn't already done that.

Oh you're so right. I bet after Kelly got caught on videotape he never even looked at a young girl ever again. I bet he even pisses thru a long black plastic funnel in private now so no one can record it and try to "set him up" again.

He definately can still hold his own as a vocalist. But the reasons why his latest album isn't selling as well as previous efforts is because 1) R&B albums don't sell big numbers any more and 2) the majority of the songs on the disc are what you would expect from Chris Brown or Usher, not Kelly, who's approaching 50 years old!

There was an article on this dude that Michael Baisden posted on Facebook about
this clown talking about black folks needing to support each other and begging
people to buy his album and giving the usual bullshit piracy speech that other
artists give when their albums are no longer selling. So he's now begging people to buy his album and playing the pro black card now when his records aren't selling. I wonder if he thought about those things when his arrogant ass tried to shit on
Jay Z during their tour together because he was getting more love or when
he kicked NeYo off his tour when he got love from the crowd. A lot of the response on Facebook was yeah I'm all for supporting black but not child molestation. The guy is in desperate mode now.

I sure did! In fact I saw him live another time, when he was free on bond from his indictment. I have forgiven him. Nobody is perfect and EVERYBODY makes mistakes.

I hear you, but Uncle Charlie Wilson is still selling CD's and doing his thing and he's 62yrs old....but Charlie is doing Traditional R&B and would not dare tackle Chris Brown or Usher's R&B fused with Pop sound...

I lost my interest in R.Kelly after "Happy People/U Saved Me".

The CD after that (I don't remember the title, sorry) was a mess. And music apart (ever the same, album after album) I can't stand the man and his "philosophy" (if you can call it this way).

It's really a shame, because "R.", "Chocolate Factory" (and "Loveland") and "HP/USM" were great CDs.

Charlie's muziq is sounding more & more pop. He is trying desperately to get a pop hit. But his live show is phenomenal....

Kellz has had the same formula now for years. Release something for the Urban AC crowd. Then release something to try to appeal to the younger Contemporary R&B crowd. Usually you can tell which crowd he's going after by the album title.
