Joe Jackson hospitalized

Showbiz patriarch Joe Jackson has been hospitalised after reportedly suffering a stroke.

The Jackson family patriarch, whose kids include Janet Jackson and the late Michael Jackson, endured the health setback on his 87th birthday while in Sao Paulo, Brazil on July 26, reported Us magazine.

Jackson was admitted to Albert Einstein Hospital after feeling dizzy and losing his vision. He is still undergoing tests.

Just hours earlier, Janet posted a sweet message to her father.

"Wishing my Father, @Joe5Jackson a Happy Birthday," the "No Sleeep" singer, 49, tweeted.

"I want to tell the world, I love and honour you."

Joe has reportedly suffered three previous strokes. The former Jackson 5 manager suffered a mild stroke in November 2012. At the time, he complained of having pains in his head and had difficulty standing. He stayed under observation at a Las Vegas hospital.

Poor Joe! Joe said Janet was the only one that came to see him when he had his last stroke. He said they really bonded & he told her for the FIRST TIME! How proud he was of her.

she has always wanted to be a daddy's girl but her father was so cold hearted, i think they finally started building a real father/daughter relationship.it was sad when he finally told her he was proud of her LAST YEAR.

Janet actually owes her muziq career to Joe. Joe is the one that made her record her first self titled album. HE wanted her to be a singer! Janet NEVER wanted to be a singer. She wanted to be an actress and go to college Pepperdine University. So I'm sure she cried. Joe has NEVER been affectionate to any of his kids or showed any congradulatory ways toward them. Don't know about the illegitimate ones.

I'm sure the Jacksons didn't like his brazilian side piece on his arms when he fell ill either. Which is why they may have not come.

THIS. I notice also the older siblings (J5) experiences with Joe tend to be different than the younger off spring in the family and I think thats why they don't jump to his aid. While Janet and Joe have never been close, IMO, she has had a better adult relationship with Joe compared to the other older siblings. Jermaine, Rebbie Marlon, Tito and Jackie had it rough when they were growing up with Joe. Janet and Randy were babies after a certain time Randy was added into the Jacksons and likewise Janet added to the Jackson act but this was YEARS before they were added and Joe had already been abusing the others. They all got abused and had it hard... but Joe was harder on the J5 and the older siblings (Rebbie and Jackie) IMO.I was PISSED when Joe was outside BET pimping out his his dead son in the vain of his record label after his son passed . Is it any wonder Michael didnt want to have nothing to do with his family? All they every did was use him for money, begged him to tour or tried to get him involved with some shady dealing for money instead of showing him geniune love and support. I believe deep down that is actually all Michael ever really wanted: the love, approval and respect from his father. MJ said his father never told him he loved him or he was proud of him while he was alive. I am glad Joe said he was proud of Janet while she is HERE to hear it. Those things mean nothing when the person is not here to hear it....

I have to respectfully disagree with this. I hate when people act like that's all the Jacksons ever did: pimp out Michael. I get that he didn't want to do the Victory Tour and they were wrong for pressuring/guilting him into doing it, but there have been plenty of examples of his brothers and sisters supporting him. Families are flawed.. arguments happen, people feel entitled to things their fam members have accomplished.. it's wrong, but they tried to help Michael SEVERAL times throughout his life too.

agreed.. some of his siblings made his life harder though lol.. i remember when latoya jackson made her claims against mike back in dec. 1993, that RUINED him in the eyes of alot of people. alot of people didnt take latoya that seriously (because she sorta seemed like a looney tune and wasnt all that relevant) but the ones who hated mike and the general public joe who might have thought mike was weird to begin with JUMPED on the boat.. at that point, we were all looking at janet.. she had much more cred than latoya and was successful in her own right, so she had nothing to gain by lying.if janet had struck down then on mike, in my opinion it would have been OVER. the general public would be forced to believe he was guilty with 2 of sisters claiming it as well. but janet stood up for him (which made me feel relieved because i loved mike and didnt wanna think he was guilty! lol)
