songs about other artists

we had 'moves like jagger' and now theres a song on the radio 'walks like rihanna',these songs

about other artists have always made me cringe, there have been some really bad songs about elvis

and some shockers about buddy holly, even david bowie got in on the act with his awful 'song for bob dylan' on the hunky dory album, what do you think about these sort of songs? are there any that you like or really dislike, maybe 'american pie' by don mclean isnt too cringeworthy.

I love how not just the lyrics, but the music is very Stevie-esque. The bass is very reminiscent of "I Can't Help It".
