Cool. Wonder if Don will mix any "new breeds" in the set. Steely Dan's able to always improvise different arrangements into their classics,

and I feel that a portion of the show visitors are openminded enough as well, in order to hear some extra slinky things. Funny, around the era of "The Nightfly",

Donald explained during an interview that he was not really into repeating tracks again and again on stage, as the songs had already been performed perfectly in the studio anyway.

I guess he grew out of that viewpoint, as him, Walter and all the excellent tour musicians have been sharing great shows through the decades at many places.

I'd like to experience just one show with all sorta of never,- or not-often-performed songs from the group and from Donald's solo work.

I've been waiting for the opportunity to see Steely Dan outside, because the sound is so much clearer than in a theatre or arena, where you get an acoustical mess with such a big band playing intricate arrangements.

Go to the outside gig, where the sound can disipate cleanly and easily, it'll be great!

Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

Hey, thanks theAudience! Sounds great and cool indeed that they add new work. I think the lady singer in the middle is Cindy Mizelle from the 80s groups Attitude (The System production), Lemelle (female duo) and a number of appearances for other artists. The lady on the left (her name skips me) is related to another bandmember of Steely Dan and the one on the far right is a new face to me.

No problem.

The Embassy Brats (from left to right):

Carolyn Leonhart (trumpeter Michael Leonhart's sister)

Cindy Mizelle

Catherine Russell

Same band as last tour except Cindy Mizelle is replaced by La Tanya Hall on bg vocals.

They even brought out on certain dates last tour the famous tune that got erased during the Gaucho sessions, The Second Arrangement.

Speaking of tracks cut during the Gaucho sessions that didn't make the record, here's one I wish they'd break out...

There's actually quite a few songs from the Gaucho sessions that didn't make the final cut: http://prince.org/msg/8/380457

Cool and thanks! cool Gonna explore the treats in that topic. Some years ago I was excited to hear "True Companion" for the first time, which appears on Steely Dan's "Gold" compilation. Initially I thought it was unreleased, but as I just searched for the track on youtube, it appears on the soundtrack for the movie "Heavy Metal" in 1981:
