Ya, in the book Glory Days he was quoted as saying that Prince was currently his favorite along with his old crony Little Steve. Because, nothing can really said on this site anymore. Any little thing is snipped or reported. I would figure that most here are grown, yet people act very sensitive, so I tend to hold back a lot. As soon as I saw the responses to comment, I want to erase it, but it was too late by then.

I just really wish we could be totally candid about the stuff we say on here. There would be no need to be "mysterious or vague" in any way whatsoever. Trolling is one thing, but I have had comments snipped that said absolutely nothing offensive.

Never heard that one before. All I've read about the making of DitD is that Landau thought the record lacked a surefire first single (despite Bruce writing and recording over 70 songs for the album), encouraged Springsteen to write something that lyrically reflected his own life at the time, and that he directed Weinberg to think "dance record" when choosing the drum part.
