I wish they would have included all of the Bad era songs on Bad 25.. this one, "Cheater" and all of the extended dance mixes.. if you're going to do a multiple disc deluxe version of an album, why not include everything from that era?

Didn't know that they couldn't do this. I was totally expecting katherine to use the kids to hawk Mann's book and other products while they were in Gary.

yep. totally shut down. mann cannot reproduce any items that he bought out of that warehouse that belonged to mj, his websites which were selling mj-related items have been ordered shut down, and he cannot continue to sell the stuff he's already reproduced. he doesn't own the copyrights, therefore he cannot profit from anything mj-related.

the trial on sept. 4 will determine how much in damages mann now owes the estate for his purposeful infringement. he had been told long ago that he didn't own any mj copyrights, and he kept up with his b.s., aided an abetted by some of the jacksons . there is a basic amount set by law for infringement, and i think it can be higher if the person or entity is going out of its way to illegally use the copyright. i want to say it's per infraction as well. (i took a copyright class about 18 mos. ago, but i don't have my notes in front of me and i'm too lazy to google at the moment!)

so that's really why i want to see this 'trainwreck'. mann is about to have a monetary judgment assessed against him. will he turn around and go after kat to recoup "his investment"?

remember, his contract is very broad vis a vis katherine and the kids. i know at one point the estate demanded to see the contract as it pertained to the kids. will mann's contract even be upheld? (i don't think it will, since kat did not have legal counsel when she signed it, supposedly she voluntarily decided she didn't need legal counsel, and certainly the kids didn't have separate legal counsel, so i think the estate will challenge the legality of it.)

will the fact that kat signed mann's contract play a role in her future abililty to enter into contracts on behalf of the kids? (i think it will.)

mann claimed that he had some "incriminating" evidence against mj and that he was willing to return it to kat in exchange for her going into business with him. what is that evidence, if it exists, and will he now use it against kat? that's why i say, i think there is a trainwreck coming down the tracks.

Thanks for the rundown. Interesting info.

Off to see both shows of The Immortal in LA tonight and tomorrow night.

This will make it show 3 and 4 for me. You could say I like what they are doing.

If somebody HAD to have murdered a good MJ song like "Bad", I'd rather it be Akon than Pitbull. I hate him so much and I want him to go away.

ANYWAY, I'M LISTENING TO MICHAEL JACKSON'S IMMORTAL CD! It's AMAZING! I though they were going to remix the hell out of it but they actually enhanced the songs by adding a few things here and there which is what a remix should sound like. I'm on track three "Childhood (immortal version)" and already i'm in love with it.

I'm listening to the album again.. Most of the songs are too short and sound too butchered, but I do like a few of them.. I like the spoken word on "Childhood". I also like "Scream" and "Working Day and Night", and "Human Nature" is my favorite of them all. But as a whole, I still find this album a disappointment.. The Beatles' Love was a lot better.

It's a nostalgia album anyway. I was emotional when I heard it. I loved the whole thing.

I actually like them BETTER than the Blood On The Dance Floor mixes.

Not as bad as I thought based on the reactions of posters. That is the very reason that I decide for myself and not buy anything based on what someone else says. I just hope that the remixes are not all Euro-pop, electronic, etc. I hope there are some good soulful, R&B mixes. Of course, this is just my opinion and personal taste.

Never heard that he played piano on the Triumph tour. All I know is that Randy played more piano and keyboards on the Triumph tour because 1. Randy was hampered by the near fatal car accident the year before 2. Randy had to fill in for Jackie in the stage show during the Victory tour so he didn't play as much piano and keyboards as he did on the Triumph and Destiny tours.

This seems strange. Janet is a multimillionaire in her own right.

Supposedly they arent paying her mortgage, but want to give Katherine more money so she can stay there:

Janet Jackson and Mother Not Talking, Janet Charging Mom for Use of Vegas Condo

Janet Jackson continues her descent into post-career madness: she’s charging her mother for use of her Las Vegas condo. Katherine Jackson has asked the Michael Jackson estate to increase her cost of living expenses so she can travel to Las Vegas and stay in Janet’s condo, which the “What Have You Done For Me Lately?” singer doesn’t live in or use.

TMZ incorrectly reported–then removed–a story that Mrs. Jackson asked the estate to pay Janet’s mortgage. Untrue. Mrs. Jackson travels to Gary, Indiana, where she still maintains a home. And she likes to stay in Vegas. The estate will tell the probate court in its next report that they’re giving Mrs. Jackson funds to use for these stays. Janet — since the battles this summer over Michael’s estate–refuses to be generous enough to her mother, sources say, and just provide for her at the condo.

“There’s no way the estate would ever pay Janet’s mortgage,” laughed an insider. But my question is: what is Janet Jackson’s financial situation that she’s become so publicly unglued over money?

Oh okay. I believe I read it somewhere, can't remember where exactly though. It also says on wikipedia (I know it's not a good source but still) that he does vocals and piano.

I'm wondering if we'll ever get these shows on dvd neutral

IF this is true... this is still ridiculous...

The Estate nor Katherine should have to pay for NOTHING for Janet who is a millionare. You mean to tell me your going to demand money from your decease brother's Estate to take care of YOUR MOTHER that you tried to shun your own family from nuts

Irony and contradictions all over the place

i posted an excerpt of the estate's recently released court docs in another thread which shows how much money kat gets for herself and for the kids, none of which goes to pay the mortgage or anything. this is strictly "pocket money". she gets $70K, if memory serves, plus another $200K or so for the kids PER MONTH. i would think that if there were costs associated with staying at janet's place - maybe to hook up the utilities or buy food? - they would be covered out of the money she's already getting.

i'm guessing the estate doesn't want to argue the point b/c their only mandate at this moment is to keep her in the lap of luxury the way mj wanted. if in fact janet doesn't want to hook her mother up, it's not really surprising. in kat's depo for the aeg case, she stated that while mj gave her over $500K during a certain time period, janet gave her $10K in the same period. janet keeps her mind on her money and her money on her mind. wink

i think roger is wrong; according to the docs, the estate already stated in this current report that they had paid for a vegas condo and a gary residence. maybe this hearing is b/c the judge wants to know more about it?
