WTF.

He really hates her doesn't he? lol

As long as Cher still has a career, Madonna still has a career.

I'll meet Elton half-way.... What she has to offer is over. Really, nothing left. Just runing on fumes, as was evident with the pointless MDNA album. Her career should be over.

However, she's Madonna, and she will pretty chose when it ends.

"As long as Cher still has a career, Madonna still has a career."

Here's the difference between the two. While Madonna feels that she has to keep reinventing herself, and keep up with the latest grooves, Cher has made her money by doing what she does best, singing her old hits. Now, I am not suggesting that Madonna just sing her old hits, what I am saying is that if it ain't broke, then why fuck it up? If she continues to put out music like the what is contained on MDNA, her career WILL be over...more sooner than later; at least to die-hard Madonna fans. Her "tone-deaf stans, cannot tell the difference anyway between what sounds good and bad.

And Elton's last top 10 hit was when? I really don't think he's one to talk about a career being over. She's had a worldwide number one album and hugely successful tour.

nod an artist is "over" when they can no longer make alot of money in the music business. That's the bottom line.Madonna's current tour is on track to be the year's biggest tour, expected to gross over $300 million.

Yes, she is. She is also doing a song, written by Gaga for her new album. The point is, as much as I don't care for Cher, she is does not stray too far away from her bread and butter "Song". If she does try something new, it is once in a blue moon and NOT every album...like *cough* Madge....

Cher only does an album once every ten years (lol),but I get your point lol

I really don't see 'MDNA' being such a huge departure from Madonna's dance/pop sound.People always say she's trying to "re-invent" herself, but these days, she seems to have found a comfortable sound that she likes.

I remember the feud going as far back as 1995 when they were both at the Brit Awards and Elton was throwing a hissy fit at Madonna getting the best dressing room.

that doesn't surprise me lol Elton is the ultimate drama queen.I once saw a documentary on him....it was some kind of backstage "behind-the-scenes" look at his life.He spent a large amount of time bitching, throwing tantrums and carrying on like a spoiled 3-year old.

I figured out that the video was from a photo shoot at the 1995 Brit Awards when she performed Bedtime Story with that awesome floating hair move. biggrin

The one you posted looks more Ray Of Light-ish era to me.

PS - I don't consider myself a super Madonna stan and can definitely be critical of her, but I still don't see why everyone hates MDNA. There's like 10 songs on it I really enjoy! shrug

The general consensus among fans is that MDNA is a return to form after Hard Candy which many fans weren't thrilled with.Personally,I think songs like "Falling Free","I'm Addicted","Beautiful Killer" and "Love Spent" are among the best she's ever done.

I agree. And I will also say that the shitty songs on MDNA are SUPREMELY shitty. Like...shittiest of all time. Like...Jimmy Jimmy shitty. That BDay Song is NEXT-LEVEL shitty.

lol the only songs I don't like are "Superstar" (good music but horrible lyrics) and "I Don't Give A..."

"B-Day Song" is bad,too...but I like it more than the two tracks I listed above.

MADONNA AND ELTON JOHN FOOLING AROUND!!!

It’s sometimes easy to forget that, like us, celebrities like larking around and have a laugh too. I guess we’re so used to seeing people in the public eye, hiding behind scarfs, a burly bodyguard or a frosty grimace, that we’ve actually forgetten that they actually are real people who are able to laugh and crack a joke or two. So it’s nice to see photo’s like these of Madonna and Elton John messing around backstage at The Brits back in 1995.

Let's put it into perspective. She has not released anything of substance since, "Ray of Light". "Hard Candy", was a joke and this new one is nothing to write home about either. So, he does have a point...

Disagree, but what do you actually mean, of substance?

Confessions was a VERY good album and period, a path she should have stayed on instead of HardCandy

This fat, miserable slob's career is done and dusted, so he has no right to talk about Madonna's career like that. Atleast she continues to make music and is also out there touring.

Ps I don't even like Madonna. I just had to defend her against this bitter tool.

Well, just because your tour does not mean that your recent stuff is any good. Let's face it, most of the people who want to see people like Madonna on tour are the one's who dig her early stuff. Mind you, Elton is at the stage in his life, where he can choose, whether or not he WANTS to go out on tour.

mmmm sounds like Prince

but no, I think Madonna fans stay current with her,

this MDNA album was barely rel before she was touring so fans didn't know this album

but StickySweet and even moreso Confessions she promod the hell out of that album, going onto dance shows talk shows going back to the Roxy in NYC and promoing the music staying all night dancing etc Confessions people LOVED that album

nod Confessions On A Dancefloor was generally well-received by fans.I would argue that there is plenty of "substance" on that record.

hell Prince should be the king of reinvention then lol

If I'm not mistaken madonna said pre-Confessions she just wanted to get back to dancing dance music and having that kind of fun at the shows -I guess the song Music is the backdrop to that

Both those whores' careers are over when it comes to making new music. The majority of the people interested in whether either one of them have a new album coming out is their hardcore fans. The same goes for all the other older artists too, including Prince. They all still can pack the house touring though. Elton is coming to my area I believe in September and folks went absolutely wild when tickets first went on sale a few months ago.

Elton John

a) old bitter bitch (Keith was right)

b) jealous of Madonna cuz she's the true gay/lesbian icon

c) hasn't released a decent album since 2001, and his last hit was a sappy Disney ballad in 1994

worse! Princess Di had to die in order to make him "relevant" again

d) nobody gives a damn about his "world" (really?') tours

e) ex-drug addict, alcoholic, ugly fat brit, arrogant prick who usually treats people like crap

Madonna

a) old happy bitch

b) still the Queen

c) released two great albums in the 00's

d) best world tours of all time (along with U2 and the Stones)

e) drug-free, mother of many children, sometimes treats people like crap, but normally parasites of the show business or irritating "journalists"

Elton needs to shut up!

All the respect, but he behaves like a little kid. pathetic and childish behavior to call her out on television! come on!
He's a diva and just jealous. he can't stand the fact that Madonna is more relevant and has way more success than him. His last albums don't have success. and his tour are just based on his old hits a la 70's-early 80's hits... carreer over? no! her MDNA Tour is successful and MDNA album too. also saying Madonna needs to stop making dance music? why? hypocrisy much? Elton just released a dance/remix album made of his OLD hits with a ''hip'' and ''new'' danceduo... he also loves Gaga and Katy Perry (dance music!!)

so just my 2 cents. I'm done with him. I respect his talent, but not his big mouth and his fucking big ego he has/his childish behavior. disgusting.
