I'm pissed at Aretha now. She should have canceled the concert.

I don't know, maybe I'm the odd ball, but I didn't really expect anything no different from Clive than what he delivered. She was his employee. So for him to give more personal stories than business would had seemed fake to me. He's a business man and about HIS money.

I guess after all those years I hoped she might mean a little more to him than that but you're probably right.

Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

I was thinking this but didn't want to be negative. I'm sort of puzzled at her for missing the funeral...even if she didn't want to sing or didn't feel up to it, she could've at least showed up. Just sayin'.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Clive seems so cold I see how he didn't let her demise interfere with his little gala.

She was always there when "I" needed her...well I guess that was good...for him anyway.

right.

My Lord.....I am watching the Service and it's so Beautiful and wonderful going home service.....

I am truly at a loss for words....This woman was my FIRST Celebrity crush when I was just 8yrs old...Whitney's Beauty and that Voice cast a Spell on the World......Like others have said it seems so unreal that she is gone. One of the best things about Whitney's walk on this Earth is having touched so many and the Joy her Music brought into our Lives and especially the dedicated fans..

I was out of town last weekend when the News broke. I was driving back from picking up food and NPR reported the news. I had to rush in the room and ask my friends had they heard...I just knew it was a mistake or something...

My Prayers go out to the Houston Family, Dionne and Whitney's band...They knew her best and Loved her the most....

Rest in Peace you Great Queen of Pop...

Which is why I said if I were Clive I would have declined to speak.

The other lengthy speaker was Costner. Which makes Clive look even worse.

It's natural to feel that way and yes, one would think that she would mean more to him than that, but most business men always stick by that motto, "Business is business".

Yes and even though Kevin only worked with her on one project, he seemed more moved by her than Clive did and Clive worked with her for multiple years.

Why is it that each time that Dionne Warwick gets up to talk the darn camera pans back, no close up confused

That's probably do to her, not wanting her face to be recorded...and probably, bootlegged.

Yea they're saying they didn't let him in.

Bobby Brown was reportedly not in attendance at Whitney Houston’s funeral, but not for a lack of trying. People reports Brown was turned away from the ceremony Saturday at the New Hope Baptist

Church in Newark, N.J. A source tells People: “Bobby was outside the church … he hugged his brother and then got in a car, and they drove him off … They wouldn’t allow him in.”

Another source, however, says that Brown was invited to attend, and had planned to in order to support his daughter with Houston, Bobbi Kristina: “She wanted her dad to be there for her mom …

She is not going to be happy that he was turned back.” Earlier, Al Sharpton, who is attending the funeral, tweeted: “I am at Whitney’s funeral. I spoke with Bobby Brown trying to calm him down and not distract from the services. Today is about Whitney!” Brown reportedly left in a Cadillac Escalade with children Landon and LaPrincia.

It was definitely THE uplifting moment of the service! I've ALWAYS loved that song, and I also liked when he performed it right after 9/11 on that telethon special they had right after it.
