In a stunning move, BET officially announced that it will ban the video.

(AllHipHop News) Viacom owned cable channel BET has banned the video for Nicki Minaj’s new video “Stupid Hoe.”

A representative spoke to TMZ.com, and confirmed that the video was banned, because it is too explicit for the network.

A representative said that “Stupid Hoe’s” chorus, along with the risqué video, was too much for the network to air.

The BET ban or Nicki Minaj’s video for “Stupid Hoe” will not impact the song’s popularity.

The video for “Stupid Hoe,” which shot by legendary director Hype Williams, already has over 20 million views on YouTube since it was posted on January 20.

imo, neither nicki or kim should be banned from making their ridiculous music. however my feeling is they should both be banned from performing blockhead personal slinging and scatological nonsense.

Don't expect to catch Nicki Minaj's latest music video "Stupid H*e" on BET -- because TMZ has learned the network is REFUSING to air it.

We spoke with a rep for BET who wouldn't specify exactly why the network has banned the video -- simply saying BET will not be broadcasting it.

But sources at the company tell us, the ban was put in place because the video's just too explicit for TV.

The song lyrics alone are bad enough -- repeating the phrase "stupid h*e" dozens of times -- but the video itself is damn raunchy too, showing several nearly naked female figures. Normally this is where we'd post the video ... but in this case, just Google it.

That dark shadow effect on the sides of her nose was put there intentionally. That's a very old trick, to make a nose appear slimmer in certain lighting, even though she apparently never actually had a rhinoplasty.

In a segment they call ‘Plead The Fifth’ they repeatedly asked Kim questions that obviously related to Nicki.

When they got to her track ‘Stupid Hoe’, things got interesting.

“I’m pretty sure I feel the same way everybody else feels right about now. If you have to make a song called ‘Stupid Hoe,’ you must be a stupid hoe.”

There really was no other way for this interview to go, but I have to wonder if this beef is really going anywhere.
