Fans of Nicki Minaj’s alter-ego Roman Zolanski got good news and bad news this weekend.
On the one hand, Minaj announced via Twitter that her second proper album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, would not be coming out until April 3.
The album, which contrary to the title is not a rehash-remix of her debut but an entirely new collection of tracks, was originally supposed to hit stores on Feb. 14, so it’s time to reconsider your Valentine’s Day gift to the wig-wearing rap fan in your life.

But just as Nicki taketh away, so she giveth. Friday saw the premiere of the Hype Williams-directed video for “Stupid Hoe,” Roman Reloaded‘s twitchy, minimalist single. Williams’ super-saturated visuals and spastic editing recall his late ’90s heyday, which often involved bathing lyrical lunatics like Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott in primary colors and building cartoonish universes around them.
Give the “Stupid Hoe” video a look below, but since there’s a disembodied bare booty floating around in there, it should be considered vaguely NSFW.
Even with the delayed album, there will be plenty of chances to see Minaj in the next few weeks. She’s still on tap to party with Madonna during the Super Bowl halftime show, and she’ll be making her pe...he Grammys the following weekend.
