too bad.

I really wanted to love her again. it's been awhile since she's given me a reason.

Ditto.

This is really disappointing. Nicki fucking Minaj? Madonna, you're supposed to be a trendsetter. Everyone and their mother has featured Nicki Minaj on a goddamned track this year.

Hard Candy was a grave misstep in an otherwise relatively consistent career and this is just proceeding further in that direction.

I'm certain that Madonna has now reached the point where she's trying too hard to be hip and trendy in her sound and has completely lost sight of why people liked her in the first place: good music.

[Edited 10/29/11 13:13pm]

I don't think think it's so much that she's "trying too hard" to be hip and trendy, it's just that, much like Janet over the last decade, she's very disinterested and not very hands-on with her own music career, so if she's going to leave the heavy lifting to others as far as songwriting, producing and performing, it might as well be hip and trendy than anything else. shrug

Let's put everthing in perspective lol

Madonna, you're supposed to be a trendsetter

but really...how many more trends can she set? How much more ground can she break? She's been on the scene since 1983! Fans who are waiting for Madonna to do a revolutionary,world-changing album...they can just stop waiting because it's not gonna happen. No one is doing anything like that these days.

Everyone and their mother has featured Nicki Minaj on a goddamned track this year

Why is it that everyone else works with rappers these days (Janet,Mariah, even Katy Perry) but when Madonna does it,she is "desperate","trying too hard",etc? As I recall,Janet has done singles with the likes of Nelly,Beenie Man,Busta Rhymes, even Khia.Would you accuse her of she "trying too hard" to remain hip?

Here's one piece of news that you guys are ignoring: the new album is being produced by William Orbit,Solveg and Benny Benassi..Those aren't exactly surefire Top 10 'hit' producers. And the new single also features M.I.A.,who is basically an underground artist. Not exactly my idea of 'mainstream'.If Madonna was only concerned with being "hip and trendy",there are alot of 'commercial' producers and artists that she would be working with right now. With the exception of Nikki Minaj's involvement on the first single,I haven't heard of any "commercial" gimmicks attached to this project.

Let's wait until we actually hear the album before we jump to conclusions wink

I remember getting upset at Stevie working with Drake or when Janet will work with this or that but you know what? If they wanna collab with these folks, let them. Ain't like neither of them were put guns to their heads to do it. We know why Madonna is collaborating with Nicki.

But I'm amused all you fuckers just ignore MIA... but that's OK. lol

The last time Madonna moved away from the dance pop stuff, she created American Life lol That album alienated her core audience (dance music fans).I don't want to see that happen again, especially not with her first album for a new record label.

I heard a few of his songs on Youtube. One track has a very funky,late-70s type sound, which I liked.A very fun, infectious dance groove. The fact that one of his tracks was chosen as the first single (and not one of the William Orbit tracks) indicates that he probably came up with something very good.

Madonna's New Single "Give Me All Your Love" Release Date

Published On : October 28, 2011

Madonna’s New Song “Give Me All Your Love” Release Date

After taking quite a long hiatus from music, pop queen Madonna is back… or shall we say, is working on her comeback. Although no official word has made its way onto the internet, Madonnarama, the diva’s biggest fan site, announces that Madonna will be gracing us with her voice at the Super Bowl XLVI, which is set for February 5, 2012.

Her appearance at the Super Bowl is not the only good news revealed by the fan site, apparently, Madonna will be performing 5 songs at the event, during half time. Amongst the five tracks, the Material Girl will also premiere the lead single off her upcoming, 12th studio album. The song is supposedly titled “Give Me All Your Love” and we even heard that this new single will feature guest appearances from Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.,who will also perform the song with Madonna at the Super Bowl.

So if you wanna hear Madonna performing her latest single live, be sure not to miss the half time of the Super Bowl on February 5th, 2012 held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. “Give Me All Your Love” is produced by the French sensation, Martin Solveig and is described as a very catchy dance/pop track.

The Super Bowl performance will reportedly include a lot of choreography with major cheerleading flips, and flops and a group of good looking girls cheering “M-A-D-O-N-N-A” on the stadium while she sings her new song.

So let me hear you guys saying: gimme an “M”, gimme an “A” and so on until Madonna releases her new single on February 5th, 2012 during half time at the highly anticipated Super Bowl.

Report: Nicki Minaj, M.I.A. to Appear on Madonna’s Single

Nicki Minaj, Madonna, and M.I.A.

Pop divas Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera have all had the pleasure of working with Nicki Minaj. And now pop queen Madonna has reportedly enlisted the Young Money raptress and M.I.A. for a new single from her upcoming album.

According to JustJared.com, the trio will debut their collaboration, entitled “Give Me All Your Love,” during Madonna’s cheerleading-themed Super Bowl XLVI halftime show on February 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The catchy tune was produced by French DJ Martin Solveig and will appear on Madonna’s 12th studio album, described as having a “pop dance” vibe.

Nicki and M.I.A. are no strangers to collaborating. The Sri Lankan artist called on the Harajuku Barbie to remix her song “Teqkilla” off last year’s /\/\/\Y/\.

Well it could be a lot worse. She has always had an interest in hip hop. Remember everlast on the waiting remix, or the PE sample on JML? Rap is beat driven music like the various forms of dance so it seems natural she would like it. William Orbit tweeted she is digging deep. I think she will have a mixture of depth and fluff here.

To your points:

1. Madonna, at the very least, should be finding a new producer and doing something interesting. Now it's OK for her to be lazy because everyone else is, too? Makes zero sense to me, but if you want to lower your standards just because you're a fan, be my guest. David, we all know there's no way you'd approve of Nicki Minaj in any other context. She's fucking terrible. lol

2. Re: Janet, YES? Isn't it obvious how chasing trends rather than doing her own thing completely ruined her career? You correctly note that "all the other girls" are working with rappers, which means Madonna should stay 10,000 miles away from them.

From the sounds of it, this will likely be a radio baiting clusterfuck attempt at an event single but I really don't get the direction of this era, if there is even one. With Hard Candy she was clearly going for the mainstream/Rhythmic route, but she was late with that as that sound was on its way out.

Madonna has made a career out of being ahead of trends or at least on time with them. However lately she has been a bit off, which I guess is to be expected with her aging. It appears she has joined the massive group of aging pop stars who have no idea what direction to go in.

3. M.I.A. is not exactly an underground artist. Her last two albums went Top 20 on the Billboard 200, with her last album peaking in the Top Ten. And "Paper Planes" was a huge hit three years ago. At any rate, she, like Minaj, is pretty fucking terrible.

You seem to think this new album is Hard Candy Part 2 but based on all the news we have heard so far, there's no indication of that.Did you look at the list of producers? If Madonna was looking to make a surefire Top 10 'hit' album, don't you think she would be working with producers who are more in the mainstream? I admit, she did that the last time around with Timbaland and Pharrell, but I don't see her doing that with this album.

You say she should be find a "new" producer to make music that is interesting. There are no "new" producers who are making truly unique, groundbreaking music right now.Do you expect Madonna to find someone who could create a custom-made sound that would only be featured on her album? lol Like I said before, there are no more trends for her to set...no more ground to break. From this point on,all you're gonna get from her is catchy dance/pop.

I actually have no problem with Nicki Minaj.I find her to be fun, bold and spunky. She's only gonna be spitting a few rhymes on the song,it's not like this is gonna be a full-fledged duet lol There are worse artists that Madonna could be working with right now.Nicki doesn't bother me at all.You said you don't get the direction of this era,so let me clue you in: this is Madonna's first new album for a new record company (Live Nation, distributed by Universal Records).Understandably, she wants a big first single to kick off this era.The first single has to be BIG,so she's pulling out all the stops.A hot dance track featuring Nicki Minaj,to be performed at the SuperBowl.....that's practically a guaranteed smash.

"aging pop stars".....That's a cheap shot, but you bring up an interesting point.U.S. radio is reluctant to play a new single by a 53-year woman.Gone are the days when she could release anything and it would get airplay. In recent years, she has released outstanding singles like "Get Together" and "Jump" which were ignored by radio. If having Nicki Minaj on a song will make people take notice,I see nothing wrong with that.Like I said before, she's starting over on a new label. She needs to use the heavy artillery. She can't afford to kick off this new era with a flop.

M.I.A. is NOT a mainstream, popular artist. How many people can name any of her other singles besides "Paper Planes"? lol She's edgy, bold and very creative. Her type of music doesn't get alot of airplay,at least not in America.

Off topic...but...is this moon-face look intentional, or just another example of plastic surgery gone horribly wrong?

I thought Madonna has always had that "look" to her face when she isn't trying to be skeletelly thin. I think she looks pretty natural here.

Its not natural for a 55 year old to look like a 20 year old but it SURE IS PURTY!!!!! nod

BEAUTIFUL!!

LOVE HARD.
