You see this youtube video?

This is her BEST rap verse. It is the only amazing one she will ever do in the course of her career. Anything else she will ever do will, always, pale in comparison. This is like a rap delivery peak for her.

The rest of those links don't even stand a chance compared to it. They sound no better than Eve's when she was tainting everyone's songs back in the early 2000s.

What seems weird to me is that Madonna had some of her best songs when she was younger Papa Don't Preach, Like A Prayer, Oh Father,Live To Tell, and now that she's older she makes some of the most predictable dance pop fluff out there! I for one loved American Life, but unfortunately, I was in the minority and now, since that majorly flopped, Madonna will stick to this formula neutral.

Hey baby! Don't get me in here actin' silly now! You're not taping this are you... ????

With only one album out I think it's somewhat unfair to claim she has already peaked. Although I do think Monster is by far her best verse thus far I think there is plenty of brilliance in the other videos I posted as well as her own songs like Roman's Revenge.

Eh, not excited for the album. Madonna needs to move on from her dance pop stuff, take more risks. I can tell she's playing it safe, i want a Ray Of Light, American Life, Erotica hell even Bedtime Stories type thing.

This dance pop shit she does is......... it's just getting stale. She's better artistically when she branches out, American Life many hated, i LOVED IT.. that was a risk. But she doesn't seem to want to do that type of thing nowaday's confused

I LOVE American Life, that one grabbed me right away. Madonna's 00's albums were solid like the first 3 of the 80's IMO

Madonna has been look gorgeous lately.. love the photos. Glad she is doing the superbowl BUT with Minaj mad

It would have been nice if she done a classic medley by herself or maybe even re-did the like a virgin performance, something interesting and different. Something that would bring the younger generation to know her more iconic material then just hooking up with a quack.... it seems Madonna cares more about staying relevant then being artistic.

I hope there are some songs I will like on this new album. I'd like to see Madonna in concert, just because I've never seen her perform live and I'd like to before she gets any older. And yes, I was a fan in the 80s and early 90s. lol

Hmmm...not really. I knew it from the first moment I heard the verse in Monster.

The problem is, when you are struggling to get up the ladder I think you tend to try harder than when you are already at the top. You get me? There are those who get stronger and better with age though...like wine.

True, but I'm holding out that she's got a couple years of good lines in her left. I just find her lyrics way more engaging than any other rapper on the radio.

St Vincent is another rumoured guest musician on Madonna's new album - when quizzed about the possible collaboration by NME this week she remained tight lipped but confessed to being a big Madonna fan. NME Music News.

Madonna is set to have three music guests on the SuperBowl stage, and supposedly two of them are the new single's guest singers mentioned above (Nikki Minaj and M.I.A.)

The third music guest is St. Vincent? hmmm

This is really disappointing. Nicki fucking Minaj? Madonna, you're supposed to be a trendsetter. Everyone and their mother has featured Nicki Minaj on a goddamned track this year.

Hard Candy was a grave misstep in an otherwise relatively consistent career and this is just proceeding further in that direction.

I'm certain that Madonna has now reached the point where she's trying too hard to be hip and trendy in her sound and has completely lost sight of why people liked her in the first place: good music.

NME: Madonna planning live return at London's Hyde Park next summer?
Madonna is planning a huge gig at London's Hyde Park to coincide with the 2012 Olympics, according to a report.

The singer is "determined" to make her live comeback in the capital next summer, The Sun claims.

A source told the newspaper:
She's been out of the limelight musically for a while but is ready to jump back into the saddle and thinks there's no better time to do it than when London hosts the Olympics.
Madonna is also rumoured to be performing at the Super Bowl half-time show in Indianapolis next February as she gears up the promotional campaign for her next album, which she is working on with producer William Orbit.

A raft of collaborators have been rumoured to be appearing on the album, with Nicki Minaj and MIA apparently in line to appear on a single titled 'Give Me All Your Love'.

St Vincent is another rumoured guest musician on the album - when quizzed about the possible collaboration by NME this week she remained tight lipped but confessed to being a big Madonna fan.
