Is anyone planning on buying Jermaine's book? I wont be buying it. Several websites have posted excerpts from his book. ABC News has another excerpt you can read:

http://abcnews.go.com/Ent...d=14502275

And he's supposed to be on Niteline tonight.

I read that excerpt from above and I want to read it, but I'm not willing to buy it yet.....

That's $20, you know how many bottles of hair grease that can buy?! lol

lol Well with Jerm that might depend...if he goes for the good stuff or the cheap Wal-mart brand. lol

Yes, this is how I have positioned myself, I'm a fan of music.
I do not know how people always say they love Michael .. blah ... blah.
He - the most mysterious figure in the history of music.
Nobody knows what his real voice? why he made dozens of operations? Is it biological children? what sexual orientation he was? whether he was a naive child, or a cunning manipulator? etc.
Lord, I am not even sure he really died.

MJ is interesting to me and I respect him as a great artist, but I can not say that I love him, because MJ frighteningly unreal (appearance, voice, behavior). It's just a myth!

Many fans grew up watching him and that admiration went beyond his music. Not only did he make music that people loved, but he had a good heart and seemed to genuinely care about his fans

I can't really describe it (I've never had a way with words lol), maybe alphastreet or Militant can do it better than me on explaining why fans loved Michael not just as an artist, but as a person

I'm not sure. Sorry.
Information about Michael is very controversial.
I am more inclined that he raised a perfect artist, but not so wonderful man.
It seems to me that you love the image, not a man ...

"Nobody knows the real Michael Jackson" - с. lol

Apparently parts of the book got leaked and Michael Bearden is fuming mad over allegations that he knew Michael was sick or something to that degree.

Interesting. Is he tweeting about it? Has he tweeted to Jermaine about it? I know Jermaine's beeb busy defending his book on Twitter the past couple of days lol

I don't remember a time when I didn't know of him, even if from afar and while liking other music though thinking he's cool if he was played by someone else or mentioned or from owning a toy. When I rediscovered him during HIStory, new songs, songs I knew before and songs I didn't know or didn't realize were him, there was no turning back since. I would continue to get high off him and if I went online to look up information about him, I stumbled across his interviews or the work he has done for others through news reports and so forth, and he just seemed so sweet and genuine and all that when I was younger and I wanted to be like that, and would get so high off him and wished I had people like him in my life when I felt emotionally neglected and thought he was so sweet for caring about kids and wanted to meet him LOL though later on when I became a woman.....(I'll stop there haha) I may have not had MJ's life though I felt we had a lot of things in common, but he has also inspired me creatively and I've also suffered from my own share of emotional abandonment to some degree as he had When younger, I found a lot of things in common too though I'm also my own person and realizing it's cool. I found it cool how he also liked Disney, especially Peter Pan (was in love with it as a kid at 7 before even knowing mj had neverland) , and was kinda timid and softspoken but also into music and losing myself in writing (and at one point, dancing) as a hobby, we've both had dad issues and religious issues, I'm pretty sure he suffered from anxiety and depression as I do. I saw myself in him completely, so losing him felt like losing myself, call me obsessed, but it really took a toll on me. Oh and he has been a very important style icon to me, everyone knows it and though I used to completely try to emulate, now my style just includes one inspirational piece and the rest is all me smile Plus, sometimes I thought I really overdid it, but would get mj signs out of nowhere, like if a song was about to come on, or something bad was about to happen, or getting a random urge to turn a tv or radio on, or being at the right place and time to hear him out of nowhere, so I definitely felt some kind of connection and very inspired by him, and I had crazy shit happening in life for over a decade, so I believe that he became some kind of distraction that helped me try to be positive though I was falling apart myself. I keep editing cause I could go on and on. He also inspired me to dream and keep going, with his positive lyrics and with his own inner strength after all he faced. I could relate to being the "black sheep" myself growing up. Although I also know mj played with his image and contradicted himself a lot too, image or not, whatever he put out there helped me and countless others in this world, and that's what his purpose was in his life. And yes, of course I was critical too and didn't always get him, but a lot of times, I did and if I didn't, I still loved him

Found it. Thanks Timmy!

a Quote from Jermaine Jackson's new book:

On Saturday, June 20, the director Kenny Ortega visited Michael at home and one hour after he left, choreographer Travis Payne received a phone call from Kenny telling him to get to the house urgently. That same afternoon the musical director, Michael Bearden, made a bizarre announcement to dancers and crew on stage, telling them: "Everyone needs to pray for Michael and send him good wishes."

Michael, can you confirm or deny that you said that to the dancers and crew?

Okay, let's talk about music, here we all think the same way: his songs are great (mostly)heart. Anybody can give a list of all the songs and unreleased demo (only MJ solo since 1979)?

I want to get the entire collection biggrin

I have 175 of his songs, but I know it's not all his songs.

Can you please help a simpleminded person like myself and explain to me why after all of these years nobody really knows if these are Michael Jackson's biological children?

As others have already stated, it's not really our business to know. Obviously, he wanted to keep everything under wraps and that was his right. I don't know if they are his kids or not. Only he and Debbie and whatever other parties involved know that answer. What you are doing is just assuming that they are not his based on your preconceived notions of what is considered to be 'black.' That is wrong. I also agree that line of thinking is racist. They may or may not be his. I don't know. What I do know is that he loved them and they loved him. He cared for them and raised them. In the end, that is really all that matters. Had those kids been darker no one would have even given a shit if they really adopted or not imo.

I do agree with you somewhat. I think that Michael Jackson is whomever you want him to be. That was the power behind the mysterious image he set forth, but at the same time it also bit him in the ass pretty hard.

On the flip side, I don't know how people can hate him either. No one really knows about him. Whatever image they have of him is really just a reflection of themselves since it's mostly just an interpretation rather than knowing who the real man behind the mask was. That being said, I can still empathize with those who feel a real loss since whatever image they have of him is one that they grew up with for years. I think this is what really set him apart from other celebrities and personalities especially in an age when everything is in our face constantly.

For me it was that of a phenomenal artist who put forth some of my favorite music and videos that I grew up with for a huge portion of my life. Someone who gave hope to a lot of us, who represented something huge to a lot of people, and who was a very charitable human being. Whatever happened with his personal life or his personal reasonings for things is really of no concern to myself personally as it does not take away from what he did. That was his business, not mine.

So answer me this: Why don't we know if these are really MJ's children? How come after all these years we still don't really know. Just that fact alone tells me something isn't right.

Jesus are you dumb! We know they are his, because he said so. You need a certificate stating that those children are really his??? Did other celebs have to produce evidence?? How do we know that Suri Cruise (or any other celebrity child) is Tom Cruise's (or any other celebrity's) daughter?? You just assume she is, because she's a white little girl! You didn't get any proof that he is her father either, but still you believe it. So why do you need proof for Michael? Unless anyone proves differently it is to be assumed that the children are his. End of the story.

I'm in the same realm as some others. I can't just love Michael as a musician. Yes, I love him for the music first, but there's other parts of the man that I loved also. I mean to me he always felt like a lost cousin. I know we could've hung out. I definitely wanted to go to Neverland as a kid. lol

Even though it may sound strange, I've always loved the man more than the artist and I do love him as an artist a lot. Love is love, it has nothing to do with sense, therefore it cannot be reasoned. You just feel it and you feel something based on something "untouchable". But no matter what image Mike or the media were trying to portray, over time we were truly getting to know the "real" him. We soon learned that he wasn't an abstinent or a vegetarian or whatever. And the more private footage leaked or was published, the more normal and real the man seemed to be. And for all the supposed "changes" and "controversies", his values never changed that is why I believe they were real and genuine as was the real man. I would have to say that for example Madonna's real personality is a bigger mystery to me than Mike's is.

When MJ died, it literally felt like I lost a close family member. Kind of a weird feeling when I never even met the person. I found a connection with his music and my soul. What has always struck me about MJ's music is the people it has touched in all corners of the world. His music was a universal langauge.

Yeah I love all his music and j5 stuff too and he's inspired me, but he got me so hyper and energetic too that I knew it was something deeper, it scared me sometimes cause I never met the man though I craved to for so many years and feel that love and energy. But I got emotionally attached and though I always knew I loved him, I don't think I truly knew what was unfolding, I kinda fell in love with him and was trying to fill a void in my own life, Amy Winehouse said it best one time when she said she did't know whether she wanted to be him or marry him, it was mostly innocent love and wanting to be like him and loved for it, but of course it was love for the person too lol but pain came with it too, and I cried everyday during those allegations and prayed for him so hard, but also felt so much anger. I like what you said too about things contradicting his image and those things making him more human, people don't realize that. But all that love inspired me to do things I never would have known I'm capable of doing if I pushed myself. Even if I was already blessed with that to begin with, I felt he "came" into my life for a purpose at the time he did and the love inspired me so much in so many avenues. I used to feel all guilty and beat myself up for it thinking I should be more religious, but realize now there was no need, I already was a believer and proactive, and was just beating myself up for being different from most people around me cause I was sheltered, and I see myself as a free spirit that just got very excited, and maybe it got obsessive for sometime from imbalance though I also made good attempts to work on it as well.

I would have to say that for example Madonna's real personality is a bigger mystery to me than Mike's is.

What mystery??
We know her real voice, we know that Lourdes and Rocco, her biological children, we know who the fathers of her children, we know that it abuses the gym, we know that Madonna is a workaholic, we know that she compensated for a lack of a big talent of its commitment and capacity for work.
We know a lot about Madonna.

What we know about Michael?
- A real voice?
- Who the biological parents of his children (who are mother Blanket?)
- Why he did the operation in such quantities, when he was a really beautiful guy in the 80s? (Did not want to be like his father? Just loved to be elusive? Wanted to be like anyone in particular?)..........It`s mystery!
- With heavy medications / drugs?
- Naive or a clever and cunning manipulator?
- Where did all his money that he was on the verge of bankruptcy? (No one in show business did not earn as him. where the money?). MJ only of royalties received by 20-30 million dollars a year + he had a billionaire in the 90's ..... Where is it go? It`s IMPOSSIBLE to spend all this money on purchases in stores ...

You may feel you know a lot about her, but I don't. Does she truly care about people when she acts like a bitch most of the time? I am talking about her personal qualities, her soul, her real values. She may be doing this and that, but when I see her, her behaviour only screams "ME, ME, ME!"

I understand Michael more than Madonna. I can imagine why he wouldn't want the public to know about the mother of Blanket and maybe it was HER who didn't want anyone to know cause her life would change forever and she'd become a tabloid target. I can imagine that he could feel ugly if he was told by his PARENTS that he was. I can understand why at times he turned to painkillers. I am not sure I'd survive the allegations if I were in his shoes. As for the money, I haven't seen his accounts to say, but lawers, all his employess, Neverland (which I've heard cost him a million a month), all the charities plus he supported his whole family...I don't know and I don't care that much?

It's not that I couldn't imagine real, understandable reasons behind all those "mysteries". The fact that he didn't want to share them only means it was NONE of our business and he wanted to keep certain things private, but I don't think that it means that those things are "not normal" and that is why they were not made public.
