I like the sticky, cause out of 'respect' it keeps the MNP forum cleaner from multiples MJ threads for non MJ fans...

But I agree I would have kept the Jackson tribute thread since it was still going on very well and since the actual event isn't finished... sad

Isn't it time this MJ Sticky was done away with?

It's been over 2 years since MJ's death. I don't think MJ fans will constantly be flooding the boards and if they do, just put a maximum limit on the # of threads related to one artists like the mods have been doing.

I love MJ and i'm a big fan, but I hardly ever post in here. I don't feel like reading through all those pages and having such a big thread really isn't good for talking about different topics or having interesting discussions about MJ and his music for too long.

I really think this thread has served it's purpose and i'd like to go be able to post about individual topics as it relates to MJ again w/o having it be part of a big cluttered thread.

I hear what you saying - but being relatively time poor - I like being able to come to one thread for all things MJ. If a discussion is going on about something I'm not into I just skim, and if it's about something I feel I can contribute to I do.

It certainly makes it easier to keep track of all things MJ.

Also might I suggest a simple way to help calrify things is...

POST TOPIC HEADING IN BOLD so people can see what your input is about. Then we can move on or read - it might help it get more organised.

And for the people who find it too cluttered, I emplore you to post your thoughts in here anyway, as in doing so it might help galvanise the discussion and help the conversations stay on track and evolve and feel less peice meal.

Jermaine Jackson reveals escapeplan for Michael

LONDON (AP) — Jermaine Jackson says his family had secretly arranged to fly Michael to Bahrain if the pop icon was found guilty of child molestation.

Jermaine was quoted as telling The Times magazine out Saturday that a private jet financed by a friend was on standby to whisk his late brother to the Gulf emirate if the 2005 court case ended with a conviction.

Bahrain does not have an extradition treaty with the U.S.

Jermaine says his brother did not know about the escape plan but Michael would have "done it in a heartbeat" because "why should he go to jail for something he didn't do?"

The singer was found not guilty on all charges.

He later spent a year in the emirate as a guest of a son of Bahrain's

WTF? Michael does not nee this RIGHT NOW of all times! How is this any different from the concerts bringing on attention again because of KISS? It's at times like this one would wish for Michael to appear in his dream and tell him to calm down lol

I just read another news story about this - what a joke. I guess the Jacksons hadn't realised that if found guilty Michael would have been taken from the court to a holding cell and then onto a prison. What were they gonna do, bust him out.

And now this...

Jackson Family Clarifies "Plan" to Help Michael Jackson Flee U.S. if Convicted

michael jacksonAP PHoto / Aaron Lambert

You know what they say, the family that stays together...makes getaways together?

Well, at least for King of Pop Michael Jackson! Or maybe not...

After telling the London Times that the musical family planned to save the artist back in 2005 if he was convicted of child molestation, brother Jermaine Jackson's rep clarifies to E! News just exactly what he meant by "plan."

After telling the paper the game plan was for Michael to flee the country via a private jet to Bahrain, which does not have an extradition treaty with the U.S., Jermaine's rep Steve Dennis explains it wasn't meant to be taken literally.

Jermaine's rep explains: "It wasn't an actual plan, because if he was convicted, he would be handcuffed and put in jail." Adding, "It was an idea Michael was unaware of. It was supposed to be demonstrative of how desperate Jermaine was. He felt the justice system was so against Michael...He was determined to get him out, he was determined to save him from persecution [if convicted]."

The family's scheme, or "plan" if you will, is further detailed in Jermaine's book, You Are Not Alone: Michael Through a Brother's Eyes (to be published this week), which includes Jermaine's explanation of what drove the family to cook up a such radical scenario: "If they were going to sit and crucify my brother for something that he didn't do, America deserves us not to come back here."

Michael, who died in June 2009 at 50 after an overdose of the anaesthetic propofol, reportedly remained unaware of the plan as the star was found not guilty of all charges in June 2005 at the end of a four-month trial.

UGHHHHHH and here they go using bad shots from the trial with this "news" I swear, the minute this trial is over, I'm done with this fucking family. The Jacksons have the brains of monkeys, Michael's gone and this is just not worth the pain anymore, Conrad will probably get off, and I'm sure Janet will retire by 50 and remain the normal one.

Still love michael, but now even THAT is depressing as hell, no matter how much joy it has given me, it's given me pain at times too

I don't have any issue with the sticky. I click on the link and just scroll through what's being discussed and if I'm interested I just reply. If not I just come back another time. I have way less posts p/page now so it's way easier or to go through these things. Sometimes this place is already filled with Jackson related posts, could you imagine if the sticky was gone?

I know that some people want to discuss the music, but then I think a harder effort needs to be made by those who do.

Fuck the sticky! And why should anything be kept "cleaner"?? If people wanna talk about Michael and can come up with valid topics, then let them! If some people can't handle that, then they should just don't click the links. There are multiple threads about other artists coming up... nobody gives a big damn about them, but since Michael is the big rival/enemy some people feel threatened about too many threads about him. It's childish, really!
