And those albums deserve all the praise they get artistically. They're brilliant albums.

Imo P.Y.T. is such an infectious little groove and Human Nature was executed so well, especially that falsetto. I Would Die 4 U is one my most favorite Prince songs, but, it lacks the atmosphere that gives Human Nature its 'magic.' Baby I'm a Star is a cool song, but, P.Y.T. sounds a lot less muddled. It sounds, clean, fun, and it has a good energy about it. BIAS (lol) lacks that even if it's an decent song.

Wanna Be Startin' Something is a song that I think you can either like or hate, but I do like the how the call & response was executed at the end of the song.

I do agree that this should be about 1999 v. Thriller though, but it can work either way though...

Clearly, Purple Rain wins but Thriller gives it a good run for its money. Human Nature will always be my favorite MJ song.

The song Thriller is only good for its music video otherwise I always found it to be pointless and dumb. The Girl Is Mine is that corny mess that Michael loved to record and it would later completely fuck up his 90's work.

Lets Go Crazy, Baby I'ma Star, Darling Nikki, When Doves Cry, Beautiful Ones and Purple Rain are the reasons why I even became a Prince fan.... those songs are iconic, innovative and just awesome. It boggles my mind how one man came up with all that then when you look at his entire body of work. Musical genius. I don't know which one I love more between LGC & BIAS, my 2 ultimates from His Purple Highness.

Purple Rain. Thriller isn't really that special to me.

Purple Rain was honestly not that great. I love When DOves Cry and the beautiful ones, but Darling NIkki and Computer Blue? Thos songs are whack. You all are just too afraid to admit it. This was Prince's best selling album, but damn did Thriller blow it out of the water and over the moon. I used to hesitate when it came to listening to Thriller in its entirety because I thought it was a bunch of hype and I already heard basically all the songs here and there. But when I listened to the album from start to finish and realized how cohesive and strong the beats and lyrics were, I could not go back to listening to Purple Rain after that. I hit REPEAT.
