As much as everybody can suck, me including probably since MJJC (Gary) said they would not participate nor register for the conference call and I said I thought it was a bad idea, then I registered my group and now I'm a bad girl for not approving their decision, I'm still glad MJJC had the chance to be cited in the article, cause, still, it is the biggest MJ fangroup and for once most of its member agree on a subject, i think this has to be known by more people.

lol

Yes I'm glad people agree on this subject...But there were many things in the past regardless of this concert where Gary too made me go WTF....Me im in the Janet Randy Jermaine boat in this whole thing...although I know Jermaine would love to jump at any opportunity to use Mike's name/fame for himself.

I know right?! I can't believe I actually agree with Jermaine Jackson on something. Although our reasons may differ, we at least agree that this scam shouldn't go on lol Jermaine's main reason is the timing, I don't support it because it reeks of horse shit. wink

I know for real. Lol. I'm shocked too. But he actually had some sense here. I don't think timing is my main reason either, it's a reason but it's not the main one. lol

I wouldnt min'd a concert if it was done tastefully but I'm not even sure if that's ever possible with so many parties involved.

See I'm not suprised Gary T. is saying this though, Gary used to work for Sony UK, if he doesn't still....(funny right a MJ fanboard admin working for sony...oh the irony)

And I know the estate and Sony pretty much HAVE to be on the same page.

Hey guys.... wink

Interview: Cee Lo Green

Remember Green's crazy peacock costume at this year's Grammys? He's since been spotted in ruffly shirts and embroidered jackets in his Liberace-inspired video, I Want You, and a gold-disco-ballish leisure suit. Green says he's not trying to be the next Lady Gaga - nor does he feel the pressure to try to top each one of his outlandish outfits. He's just an ordinary guy

"I've learned from Lady Gaga," he says. "First of all, I'm not going to let her have all the fun. Second of all, she's great but she's carved out quite a niche for herself and I, for one, only do it when I feel like it, not because of anyone's expectations of me.

"I think that's kind of what my charm is - I can still come out in something very simple. That's my whole approach to music and artistry - working-class hero - so I'm out to show how this is truly art imitating life and the normal people are the beautiful people.

"Then again, they don't pay me to be normal ... or not completely, you know what I'm saying?"

Exactly. There's a reason he was selected as one of four judges for NBC's talent competition, The Voice. How many normal Joes can sing like Green? His purring falsetto can be as warm as a cat's kiss or as stinging as a claw in the arm, as showcased on F*** You from his latest solo album, The Lady Killer, or Gnarls Barkley's 2005 smash, Crazy, recorded with drummer/producer Danger Mouse.

Long before these hits, Green was a member of Goodie Mob, a hip-hop crew from Atlanta. He left after their third album, 1999's World Party, but the foursome are now working on a reunion album.

"I wouldn't want to give out any disclaimers about what we're attempting to do because I don't want disappoint anyone who might be expecting something exactly as I say it," Green says.

"So, if anything, I can have my own expectations and intentions and we will really accomplish a feat if it's even greater than what I expected of myself."

He is, however, willing to hint about his tour expectations - a "big" trek featuring himself, Goodie Mob and Gnarls Barkley.

When? It's still too early to say. There's still no release date on the Mob's record, or the next Gnarls album.

Meanwhile, he's getting ready for a few festival dates, including Sunday's Sonic Boom at the Expo Centre, and a Michael Jackson tribute concert in Cardiff, Wales. Or maybe not.

Green is one of the scheduled performers - along with Christina Aguilera, Ne- Yo and Smokey Robinson - but some Jackson fans and three of his siblings, including Janet Jackson, won't participate in the Oct. 8 show. They say the timing is terrible because Dr. Conrad Murray's trial for involuntary manslaughter is set to start on Sept. 20. (He's accused of administering an anesthetic to Jackson in the hours before his death.)

Their statements are causing confusion among other fans and even the performers themselves.

"I just read the gig was cancelled, so I'm not sure," says Green. "But I'm up for it - I already have my bags packed. It's honourable to be asked by the family and estate to celebrate the life and accomplishments of Michael Jackson."

Tribute Concert Promoters Fail to Sway Jackson Fan Clubs

The promoters of a Michael Jackson tribute concert tried to dispel the concerns of fan clubs Monday during a series of international...ence calls on Wednesday, but leaders of some large groups said afterwards they were still opposed to the event.

For weeks, fan clubs have criticized the promoters for staging the “Michael Forever” concert in Wales on Oct. 8, around the same time as the involuntary manslaughter trial in California of Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician who was caring for Mr. Jackson when he died in June 2009. Several fan clubs have criticized the promoters for not releasing details about how much money from the concert’s proceeds will go to two charities that Mr. Jackson had supported during his life. Many have also said the promoters should have reached an agreement with Mr. Jackson’s estate before staging the concert.

“In all honesty, they haven’t answered any of my questions,” said Gary Taylor, the president of the Micheal Jackson Community in Britain, which has 80,000 registered members. “Where is the money going? Who is benefiting?”

“They just don’t want to listen to what we have to say,” he added.

Juliette Harris, a spokeswoman for the promoter, Global Live Events, said the goal of the calls was to open a dialogue with the fan clubs and counter some false reports on fan Web sites, among them the charge that none of the ticket proceeds would go to charity and that the tickets could not be refunded. “We are not trying to persuade people or change their minds,” she said. “Our goal is to say ‘Here are the facts.’”

The opposition of the major fan club groups presents a problem for the promoter, Chris Hunt, a British filmmaker who formed Global Live Events this spring to put on the show. The fan clubs wield influence with many of the people most likely to buy tickets to the events. Mr. Hunt did not take questions from the heads of fan clubs Wednesday. Instead Global Live was represented during the calls by another executive, Andy Picheta.

The concert has divided the Jackson family. Janet Jackson and Jermaine Jackson – who have had the most successful solo careers – are boycotting the event, along with their brother Randy Jackson, because it conflicts with the trial. La Toya Jackson and three other siblings – Tito, Marlon and Jackie — are planning to attend and may perform.

The executors of Michael Jackson’s estate, which is not controlled by any of the siblings, have also raised questions about the charitable intentions of the promoters. They have made it plain the promoters may not use Mr. Jackson’s image, name or other intellectual property to sell the concert.

Wesley Noorhoff, the president of the Legendary Michael Jackson Fan Association in the Netherlands, which has 25,000 members, said the conversation with Global Live officials had not swayed him. Holding the concert during the trial and excluding the estate from the project still bothered his members, he said.

“We are still not behind the concert,” he said after the telephone call. “The biggest problems we have are the timing and not working with the Michael Jackson estate and not getting all the Jacksons onboard.”

Glad Gary decided to participate to the conference call, we all knew it wouldn't lead anywhere but I do feel the fans have to answer present at any opportunity to discuss.

I did talk (by email) with Juliette Harris and Andy Picheta today and we are still planning a conference call, don't know if this will happen, but I hope so, I also have my questions to ask.

MICHAEL JACKSON'S NEPHEW TAJ ATTACKS "FANS" OVER TRIBUTE CONCERT CRITISMS

Friday, 02 September 2011 Written by Elliott Batte

Michael Jackson’s nephew Taj Jackson is the latest member of the family to become embroiled in the conflict over the Michael Forever Tribute Concert – this time slamming the irate fans who have labelled his grandmother, Katherine Jackson, as greedy.

ImageTaj (on the left of 3T), real name Toriano Adaryll Jackson II, tweeted an impassioned pl...ckson fans in the early hours of this morning against his uncle's fans who had made what he saw as personal attacks on members of his family. Clearly unhappy, he messaged and addressed some of his 30,000 Twitter followers and continued to argue with them until he decided to leave – even claiming he deleted some of the fans from his Twitter.

The tweet-tirade kicked-off at around 1:50am this morning, with the message:

“I learned the concept of fans from my uncle [Michael]. Sorry, you cannot call yourself a fan & attack MJ's mother or kids. That is not a fan.”

He received well over 100 re-tweets and replies from fans but, after some irate MJ die-hards disagreed, the tweets began to pour out. You can read the series of messages below.

“A fan can disagree and not like something,” Taj wrote, “but being hateful is not a fan of MJ. It goes against everything he stood for.”

“My uncle LOVED his fans and you guys gave him strength.”

“Maybe I shouldn't use the word "true" fans or "real" fans, I apologize. It just makes me so upset to know what my Grandma goes through.”

“My uncle thought of my Grandma as perfection. He admired her so much. And she loved him unconditionally.”

“Now I read comments like crazy Katherine or Greedy Katherine. or $$$$ Katherine. It is so disappointing.”

“You guys only hear 1/100 of the stuff that goes on around here.”

“I personally had to take a break from the "social" world because everything has been so twisted around.”

“Unfortunately hate and anger makes more noise than LOVE.”

“Sorry.. had to block a few "fans" smile

“Guys. You don't have to like me or agree with me. But at least learn the truth about me before you make judgements or call me nasty names.”

“Questioning my loyalty towards MJ. Really?”

“When the first allegations hit. Do you know who were the first people to fly overseas to be with and support MJ.”

Taj then logged off Twitter with the message: “Gotta go guys. LOVE.”

Taj’s old pop group 3T (consisting of him, Taryll Jackson and Tito Joseph Jackson) will be performing at the Michael Forever Tribute Concert, set to take place at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on Saturday October 8th – and, like the rest of the acts on the bill, the band are expected to be receiving a fee for their appearance.

So, is Taj right to be angered by the way some fans have “attacked” members of his family over the controversial tribute concert? Or are the fans simply thinking of Michael when perhaps certain members of the family aren’t? Tell us what you think in the comment section below.

Here is the first part (out of 4 parts/subjects/concerns). Please don't alter, change or summarize it since I wrote it the exact way it has been said. Thank you

smile

Note: What is written between ( ) has been said or something that meant the same as been said, but the sound was cut on the recording due tu speaker phone.

1st concern: THE CHILDREN

AP: Sorry we couldn’t join you yesterday. So what I’m doing or what I’m trying to do is start correcting, try to address some of the issues the fans had, the issues that led you to co-sign that open letter to Chris Hunt at GLE. And just try to explain a little bit about what we’re doing and hopefully get (your side) to see that you may not agree with the timing or you may not agree with necessarily the structure but to see, you know that we have the (best intentions to go on with) that family tribute at Cardiff.

JQ: Yeah I get that...
AP: So do you want to tell me about some of the concerns you’ve had representing Quebecers MJ fans?

JQ: Well, actually my biggest concern would be about the children. So my first question would be really easy: Do you think Michael Jackson’s children are poor?
AP: Do we think they are poor? We think that the terms of... from the Estate is doing with Michael’s children, that they are safe started later on in life and we wanted to, if Katherine Jackson is the legal guardian, she has small degree of financial independence, because as a matter the only money that she gets, she gets it from the Estate. The children of course, are incredibly rich, with legacy I suppose, but their access to is terms I believe in a way that we felt we wanted to help Katherine Jackson, Ms. Jackson earlier that the Estate had in mind.

JQ: So since you just said that the Estate manages the trust for the children, you felt the need to give Katherine a new trust for the children, so why is she in charge of this new trust you’ve just set?
AP: Because she’s the children guardian.

JQ: But, I thought Michael chose the Estate to take care financially of his kids and the way I read his will, it was like very well done, in a way that they don’t get all the money already so, it’s better for their future...
AP: But I need to make it clear, we are not against anything that the Estate is doing, we respect what the Estate is doing, we respect what they’re doing for Michael’s children. But we felt as that a gesture, a proper gesture from us would be to (help Katherine) as well as the (children).

JQ: So the money goes to Katherine?
AP: It goes to the trust fund.

JQ: Ok, why does the kids appear in the terms and conditions of the concert?
AP: I know! This one caught me by surprise cause I didn’t read it. Another fan did ask the same question. The terms and conditions were written by lawyers and we are presenting the official Jackson family tribute concert and out of that, is the fact that the children are family (and it proves that we are not imposters). But to be honest, I expect they put it in to give creedance to the fact that this is the official family tribute concert and I know that Jermaine and Randy are very aggressively against and I know that Janet has very diplomatically and very, in a dignified way said (she won’t be taking part).

JQ: So you don’t think they put the kids in the terms and conditions to sell more tickets?
AP: No, Absolutely not. Absolutely not. I know the lawyers, and I know that they were probably trying to show that this is an official concert. I really don’t think that the selling of tickets has anything to do with that, the children aren’t performing, they don’t want to be on stage, as far as I know they aren’t gonna do anything except to be there with Katherine.

JQ: Are the kids gonna perform at the concert?.
AP: Absolutely not, absolutely not.

JQ: So no speech either?
AP: I’ve seen a very rough (appearing) order and they are not there either at all.

JQ: Who made the 100 000$ check and who signed it?
AP: It was signed by Chris Hunt, the president of Global Live.

Yeah, I love Graffiti Bridge movie, so what? ''Oooooooooooh Montreal, say it!''

I agree with Taj on the matter of fans attacking his grandmother

He doesn't really tweet about his other relatives and doesn't speak much when it comes to stuff his uncles and aunts are involved in, but when people start talking about Michael or Katherine, then the gloves come off

on the "Michael Forever" stuff.....well, he's on his own with that lol

but I do understand when he talks about the "fans only hearing 1/100 of the stuff that goes on around here" or the fans questioning his and his brothers' loyalty to Michael

SOME of the MJ fans do go overboard. There's fans on Twitter who are constantly attacking he, his cousins, and other members of the family on Twitter whenever something goes down, and stalk Michael's kids on there too. Fans who feel that they love and care about Michael more than the family or his friends did because some of them followed him around the world or were at the trial

Remember the fans who launched the "This Is Not It" campaign? or the fans were at Murray's preliminary hearings and were giving PRESS CONFERENCES?

This "Michael Forever" crap....the fans are 100% on the ball with their concerns and criticisms because the ones who will be affected and ripped off, are going to be the fans

If he really cared for his grandma, let her know that Chris Hunt is a sniveling snake ripping her off. rolleyes

But Tim, we don't know what's been said to her in private. For all we know, Global Live and their team could've pulled the wool over their eyes. It's not like it's the first time that family's been scammed lol

They don't have the best sense in business either neutral I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the majority of them don't know how to read a contract
