R u kidding me? lol Highway Unicorn is EPIC. From beginning to end. I mean, the last minute or so of it, alone is just...nobody is making pop music like this!

Wait... wait... you were around in the '80s right? They WERE making music like this. lol

One of you is referring to the present and the other the past. If Bill Clinton taught us anything he taught us the meaning of the word "is." razz

I’m sorry no lol they are two of the worst songs on that album(along with Americano that I do listen to) and it’s not just me that says this even people outside this forum but it’s just my opinion and not to be taken as fact. lol smile She could have left those two off. And I do agree her "Pop Music " is miles better than what Rihanna and them are doing but that doesn't mean she doesn't have some bad songs in her catalogue. lol I was getting into those two tracks then something didn't connect throughout the rest of those two songs something not right about those two confused eek lol

I don't even listen to Rihanna and 'em and when I do get to hear a portion I'm already like Mr. Horse from Ren & Stimpy: "no I didn't like it". lol Same with SOME songs off BTW. Least it ain't like The Fame where in some songs she DID have songs that Rihanna and 'em would've done. lol

Just like the people who miss old Gaga like I said before the ones who complain are the Rihanna, katy and them fans. Gaga is separating herself from them lol

She's eclectic alright but I love the more darker, moodier songs on this record. If you like it, more power to you but I'll be skipping that summabitch. lol

I agree. But I think had she kept on singing about getting drunk, fucking anything that moved, and dance your troubles away, those same folks, as I said earlier, would be complaining about her failure to evolve. lol So they're trying to act like they're all upset lol some even think she's evolving too quickly.

The only song I cant seem to get into is Hair. I like the part about wanting people to love her as she is but I just cant really get into the song. The tour should open with M.T.N. and then go into Highway because of all the talk of falling in love tonight. Pretty hot track. I dont understand why a lot of people dont like it. The electro sound on here is so awesome. It sounds like a lot of what I listen to with a pop singer doing the vocals.

Have you seen the version she did on Good Morning America? She turned it into a ballad, with just vocals and the piano. I love the song either way, but that version really got the crowd going.

Hey, this whole 'old Gaga' thing I just don't get. I can't see much of a difference at all between BTW and her previous work. How is it supposed to have changed? Seems like the same quirky pop with an occasional darker edge, to me.

Yeah, I don't get it either. I do hear and feel the change in her music but at the core it's still Gaga. I guess some people expected her to keep on writing about "the fame" forever. I still think many people missed the whole point of The Fame lol

Ok seriously...I think I went to 90's heaven with The Fashion Of His Love.

Seriously..that is an awesome song... I havent got to the last 4 track of the Deluxe version however my highlights are (other than song above):

Government Hooker

Scheibe

Black Jesus

Bloody Mary

Edge Of Glory

Born This Way

Judas

Heavy Metal Lover is alright but it is the chorus melody that makes it work..otherwise it just gets kind of lost between track imo.

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Yikes, that's nearly half the album! I thought you were pretty high on The Fame.

Just Dance

LoveGame

Paparazzi

Pokerface

I Like It Rough

and I can tolerate The Fame (I hate the lyrics), BD&R, and Summerboy...

wink

you know, when The Fame appeared, I thought she was just the younger version of Ke$ha, and that she wouldn't last more than another albu,. Of course, Bad Romance appeared and I was hooked. Alejandro, Monster, Telephone, Teeth, Speechless, good tunes... smile

but nothing as wild, good and excessive as BTW, this new album is dope...

One thing that I think that The Fame has going for it is that there are a couple of songs ("Beautiful, Dirty, Rich" and "Brown Eyes") that feature live instrumentation. I guess that maybe "You and I" on Born This Way is similar but I would have enjoyed it if we got 2-3 more songs like that to give the album a little more variety. "Brown Eyes" isn't necessarily a fantastic track but it's a bit different, a little early '70s glam rock, and I would love to hear her try something similar again.
