New Duran Duran song

You gotta put up with some guy talking over it (Mark Ronson, I do believe) but still...what you can hear sounds pretty good music

Capitol Records? I thought they were on Sony.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Maybe it's just me, but the bassline closely resembles the bassline of "Planet Earth", as does the chorus.

It's just a snippet. They have yet to announce a release date or who they're signed with. It's been said that they are going independent with a major distribution deal. We'll see.

Simon sounds good!

the guitar riff is very "Atomic" by Blondie showing how much Blondie were an importance to them. I like the feel light years than most of the last album, but with DD im always worried because they arent strong overall album artists. They have good albums but consistency has always been an issue

Has Le Bon ever published a book of poetry? His lyrics are sometimes exceedingly cryptic but nevertheless interesting.

Sounds like a real return to the sound of 1980-81; perfectly decent/competent song, it doesn't blow my mind though

7/10

this new album sounds promising... cool

It's ok, I guess. It's hard to get into a snippet. I need to hear the entire song without Mark's voice.

I really don't dig Mark Ronson, largely because I think most of what he does has been done before. However, in this case I think that might work. I'm diggin' the snippet as it DOES sound like old Duran Duran. Like, pre-Seven and the Ragged Tiger Duran Duran, which is pretty cool.

Nice article with some co...ner today.
