I've explained to people on KOP at least 6 times by now that the cover

1. Is a collage

2. Is a gatefold cover that shows Michael's career in chronological order

3. Features Dangerous, HIStory, and Invincible eras on the second half

and they STILL ignore it and continue to bitch that the cover doesn't include any 90s MJ neutral

I'm beginning to wonder if some of these folks have a problem with comprehending things or are just too comfortable bitching and moaning about things neutral

You can actually see the arm from the golden HIStory statue on the right side of the image we have seen. I'm liking the image the more I look at it. It is a grower. It isn't as unique to look at as Dangerous, but it is still a good attempt. We should reserve judgement about the cover till we see the whole thing. I predict a lot of the bitching about the album cover will quit on Monday..

and the hype/bitching about the new song will begin...with Mama Jackson on Oprah kicking off the BS of, "The song is a fake." UGH! mad And more talk of pills! UGH! Let's paint Michael as a druggy, instead of some guy who couldn't sleep and would do almost anything to get a good night's sleep, and had stupid/vulture doctors around him who would give him whatever he wants, when it is their fault in the first place, not the patient, so maybe we can cash in lawsuits, cus taking money that shouldn't belong to us from the Estate isn't enough. We just can't fathom working. We are the Jacksons. Lazy and greedy. It's so simple as A-B-C-.

T-Pain and Quincy Jones responds back to the negative critics of P.Y.T remake

T-Pain said

For all the ppl that hate me for ruining pyt just stop listening to my sh*t. But if Quincy jones tell you he want you to do something, no matter how much shot you know ur gonna get from the dumb asses in the world, you god damn do it. The fucked up thing is everybody being so kind to mj after he’s gone, but how can you wish a man to rest in peace when you never gave him peace in a life time? I had the pleasure of meeting MJ and when I left his house I got a call from his lawyer telling me that MJ wanted me to remake that song. So everybody that’s being overly disrespectful, you don’t have to like me at all, but you also can keep that bullshPt to yourself. Like I said I’m making it my job to stay positive on twitter but this is why the image of my ppl is so fucked up cuz we all are to envious and jealous of each other to get passed anything. In conclusion, if you don’t like what I do then stop listening to it, if somebody tells you that my sh*t is wack, why would you go and try to find it? Just stay off my timeline and my d*ck and get YO sh*t together, obviously I’m str8.

Quincy Jones Takes On "Haters" Over "P.Y.T." Remake

November 4, 2010

Quincy Jones, is taking aim at those who have a problem with the reworked record.

“Today with Facebook and Twitter and everything, I have never seen so many haters in my life,” the 77-year-old legend exclusively tells Rap-Up.com. “But it’s people sitting in their basements with their pants on the ground, just being haters. I don’t get it, man. That means they don’t have a life.”

“The freedom in music is do what you want to do,” he shares. “I don’t think anybody should sit there and say you shouldn’t do that or you shouldn’t do this. That’s not up to me to say.”

While T-Pain said that he recorded the song at Mr. Jones’ request, Quincy offers a different take. “They volunteered. I didn’t choose them. I didn’t produce this,” he says. “Six years ago, Timbaland came to me with one of his assistants in South Beach and said, ‘We’d like to do a hip-hop tribute to all your old songs.’ I said, ‘Great, man. That’s a very big honor ’cause I’ve worked with a lot of the hip-hoppers anyway and have always been behind them.’”

Jones took a back seat when it came to putting together the project. “I just sat down with guys that were my friends and they called and asked me questions and so forth. I’m there for them, but I said use your own voice, but make it better than the one we did.”

What a couple of complete Bankers, suck it up has-beens - mj told me he wanted me to cover it yeh ok we beleive you.

LMAO! That article was HILARIOUS! biggrin

The idea of Prince hyponotizing Bubbles via ESP is just too hilarious. I applaud the imagination of the writer. lol

Also, the last sentence was just so appropriate. Talented but weird... Heck yea. That explains why I like the two so much. They're both so intriguing. wink

This is from the MJ boards:

According to Gayle King (on her satellite radio show) Oprah did NOT "court" or seek out the Jackson's in any way, it was Marc Schaffel (porn producer/KJ biz partner) who CONTACTED the Oprah team.

Oprah & her team were planning an episode on "Teen Heartthrobs" (which coincidentally aired today) and when Oprah was a kid her "crush" was Jackie Jackson. The ONLY call Oprah's team made was to Jackie to see if he would participate.

Days later the Oprah producer assigned to the Jackie Jackson segment received a phone call and faxed letter from Marc Schaffel on behalf of Joe & Katherine Jackson pitching an interview for KJ's book about MJ. THE OPRAH TEAM REJECTED THE PITCH FROM MARC SHAFFEL, JOE, & KJ saying thanks but no thanks.

A few days after Oprah's team turned them down Marc Schaffel contacted them again to say that "Mr. & Mrs. Jackson would 'sweeten' the deal and allow Oprah an 'exclusive' interview w/ the children of MJ if she would agree to feature KJ on her show." According to Gayle, there was MUCH debate between the producers whether or not to do the show. Gayle said the Oprah team is taking great care in the way they are featuring the kids. She said Schaffel made it clear to producers that the Jackson's were willing to leverage the children to promote their biz ventures to other outlets.

ASSUMING THIS IS TRUE (gotta put that caveat out there)

i don't know why gayle thinks this makes oprah look good or better. one, even if she was doing a 'teen heartthrob' show, and wanted to meet jackie, you cannot make me believe that she didn't also see this as an opportunity to get on the inside of the jackson circle and to eventually wind up with an even bigger scoop. she's a businesswoman who is fooling no one.

secondly, even if she did reject joe and katherine at first, she was certainly willing to interview them when these kids were offered up as bait - to the shock of absolutely no one with a brain. that makes her just as complicit in their exploitation no matter how gayle wants to spin it. 'taking great care in the way they are featuring the kids'? how about not featuring them at all? what a slimy pig.

as to taj's claims that his dear grandma wanted to set the record straight about his uncle and his legacy, has he seen the latest clips of the show making the rounds? yeah, ma jackson who told dateline that she never saw her son on drugs, apparently has changed her tune. i would laugh at him for being so stupid, gullible and blind, but that would be mean. . .

Another thing I'm going to point out before the conspiracy theorists get a hold of it lol....

Remember THAT day? Of course you do. I don't think any of us will ever forget it. Here's what I remember seeing.

Sure, the phrase "Breaking News" is common as hell..... but it just makes me wonder. I guess I don't really watch a lot of news, but the last time I remember the phrase being used that widely, on every channel, was that day.

Just seems strange.

I think Taj was just as shocked as we were when it was revealed that the kids actually were interviewed. He hasn't said much about it since. It's more obvious that the family is divided on how to represent for Michael's legacy

I always try to be open minded when it comes to the family because I am a fan of them BUT if I think what may happen actually does happen, I may have to rethink my fandom lol

That preview snippet of "Breaking News" is just headbang

It totally takes me back to HIStory era MJ where he was bringing it back hard not caring about how commercial or radio friendly the tracks were.

I'm glad he still had a desire to create more in your face "answer" tracks like this during 2007 since we know he purposely shied away from these kind of tracks on Invincible (bar "Privacy").

I've always thought his most interesting songs are those which have a personal story to tell.

I know it's way too early to actually rate this song but it certainly makes the mind wonder how MJ would have executed his comeback single.
