we need a damn track listing! and it BETTER NOT be 10 tracks. 15 will do. These are a few records i'm thinking MIGHT appear

Place With No Name

Don't Be Messin Around

Men in Black

Shout (even though it's been released)

Never Landing

Michael McKellar (only because he seemed so happy when they mentioned that song at his 93 Depo)

I hope Place With No Name is there. I love it so much.

Can't wait to check out the album teaser later today. Hopefully it contains a few seconds of music at the very least.

T-Pain and Quincy Jones responds back to the negative critics of P.Y.T remake

T-Pain said

For all the ppl that hate me for ruining pyt just stop listening to my sh*t. But if Quincy jones tell you he want you to do something, no matter how much shot you know ur gonna get from the dumb asses in the world, you god damn do it. The fucked up thing is everybody being so kind to mj after he’s gone, but how can you wish a man to rest in peace when you never gave him peace in a life time? I had the pleasure of meeting MJ and when I left his house I got a call from his lawyer telling me that MJ wanted me to remake that song. So everybody that’s being overly disrespectful, you don’t have to like me at all, but you also can keep that bullshPt to yourself. Like I said I’m making it my job to stay positive on twitter but this is why the image of my ppl is so fucked up cuz we all are to envious and jealous of each other to get passed anything. In conclusion, if you don’t like what I do then stop listening to it, if somebody tells you that my sh*t is wack, why would you go and try to find it? Just stay off my timeline and my d*ck and get YO sh*t together, obviously I’m str8.

Quincy Jones Takes On "Haters" Over "P.Y.T." Remake

November 4, 2010

Quincy Jones, is taking aim at those who have a problem with the reworked record.

“Today with Facebook and Twitter and everything, I have never seen so many haters in my life,” the 77-year-old legend exclusively tells Rap-Up.com. “But it’s people sitting in their basements with their pants on the ground, just being haters. I don’t get it, man. That means they don’t have a life.”

“The freedom in music is do what you want to do,” he shares. “I don’t think anybody should sit there and say you shouldn’t do that or you shouldn’t do this. That’s not up to me to say.”

While T-Pain said that he recorded the song at Mr. Jones’ request, Quincy offers a different take. “They volunteered. I didn’t choose them. I didn’t produce this,” he says. “Six years ago, Timbaland came to me with one of his assistants in South Beach and said, ‘We’d like to do a hip-hop tribute to all your old songs.’ I said, ‘Great, man. That’s a very big honor ’cause I’ve worked with a lot of the hip-hoppers anyway and have always been behind them.’”

Jones took a back seat when it came to putting together the project. “I just sat down with guys that were my friends and they called and asked me questions and so forth. I’m there for them, but I said use your own voice, but make it better than the one we did.”

I could care less about the whole Quincy project/P.Y.T. controversy (if you even wanna call it that) since the whole thing just sounds lazy and contrived (like Thriller 25). I'm sure Jennifer Hudson will do a great job with "You Put A Move On My Heart" but beyond that, I'm not interested.

Back to MICHAEL. I like the album title and have predicted in the past this would make a great album title. It's the first egocentric less MJ studio album title we've received since Off The Wall and neatly joins Whitney (1987), Prince (1979), janet. (1993) and Madonna (1983) in the self-titled first name only collection (yeah I know I'm weird for remembering this stuff.)

I agree that a 10 or 11 track album is the best way to go. Less is more and I'd rather we go back to that Off The Wall/Thriller/Bad format where we can practically regurgitate the tracklisting because we remember each song.

There is one song I really hope makes the tracklisting. It was registered earlier this year by the estate and it's called "Michael's Affirmation". The title alone gives me goosebumps.

I like the cover because it looks like something MJ would like and it's similar to Dangerous but i think using the photo above would have been a GREAT choice.

OMG this is fkn awesome!!!!! I love it!!!

Found an old article from 2003 about Eddie Cascio.

http://www.drewacorn.com/...t-1.845294

Head of a company receiving royalties on his own songs and soon to be out of college, Eddie Cascio (C'04) has a world of opportunity ahead of him. Only two years after starting Angelikson Music, Cascio was working with high profile celebrities such as Luther Vandross, *NSYNC and Usher.

However, like many, Cascio began in music by taking piano lessons which his parents signed him up for. Cascio found a love of writing music while still in high school.

Through a family friend with connections in the business, Cascio began writing for Sony/ATV Music publishers in New York. Sony/ATV writers have ranged from Joni Mitchell to Destiny's Child.

However, after about one year, Cascio decided that working for himself would be a better solution. "If you want to make it in this industry, you have to own what you do," says Casio. He went on to explain how "owning my own company makes me want to write more."

Using his newly formed music industry contacts, Cascio created Angelikson Music, founded under the studio name Angel. Today, Cascio's business has really taken off to new heights. Cascio worked on *NSYNC's song, "Fallin'" and music for Vandross' "Think About You." Cascio recently worked on songs for Usher's upcoming album, scheduled for release in early November. He also is excited to be producing some new up-and-coming artists, such as Bobby Ewing. After finishing a copy of the album, Cascio hopes that a record deal will be in the future for Ewing, with Cascio himself as producer.

Balancing both college and his music career has been tough, yet both have been very important to Cascio. After graduation, he plans to continue with the musical track, however he says his sociology degree from Drew will still be of great help. "I have a better understanding of people," explains Cascio. "I use what I learn at Drew as a basic knowledge on which to build, as well as it helping me with my creativity in writing."

Casio is thrilled to be in the business of his dreams, explaining, "I'm very grateful for all the opportunities I've had in my life so far."

The bolded part made me LOL.

Okay so Jamie King is directing the new IMMORTAL shows.

I'm just curious, it said he doubled for MJ on the Dangerous tour.

Is this true? And if so, during what sequences/shows?

Unholyalliance

Doesn't take a genius to figure out what the song was about, but I really like the beat... It's kind of nice.

You know...even though it's been over a year, it just kind of hit me that he's not going to be in his own videos anymore. I can no longer laugh, be amazed, and/or be entertained anymore by anything he does. Even if I didn't like the video, like Liberian Girl, at least I always knew he was going to be there and I would just tune in just to see him make some kind of appearance. Now there's going to be no new dances. No new him trying to be some kind of hero to some damsel in distress. No him featuring other big time celebrities to be featured.

T___T Damn I'm so late.

I've explained to people on KOP at least 6 times by now that the cover

1. Is a collage

2. Is a gatefold cover that shows Michael's career in chronological order

3. Features Dangerous, HIStory, and Invincible eras on the second half

and they STILL ignore it and continue to bitch that the cover doesn't include any 90s MJ neutral

I'm beginning to wonder if some of these folks have a problem with comprehending things or are just too comfortable bitching and moaning about things neutral

"We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
