Her 3 worst songs: You Can Be Mine, Show Me, The One. All inexcusably bad.

LOL

It's been so long that I've listened to it, I can't even remember the verses, only the chorus.

DEFINITELY "Show Me"...can't believe she went there. It's so horrible it sets a low bar that the rest of the mediocrity on "20 Y.O." can easily best.

I hate "The One" too.

The biggest problem with "You Can Be Mine" is that it's inexplicably the 2nd longest song on "Control." It should have been no longer than 4 minutes, and that's being generous. I like the chorus, the production, and the melody, though, so I personally can't place it at the bottom.

If I can't use bonus tracks (in which "Who," from the "All For You" era, would win hands down for me), I'm going to say "2Nite." A complete mess, in every way. I still can't believe Def Jam and the media hyped it up like they did.

I thought "2Nite" was overrated at first too, but it's grown on me as an album track. Definitely not single material.

"Who" is near perfect in my eyes. love I love all the great pop from that era: All For You, Come on Get Up, Trust a Try, Son of a Gun, Someone to Call My Lover etc. Damita Jo was such a disappointment for me when it came out.

No, "2Nite" wasn't single material. Thank God they didn't try to do that because I remember it being pointed out that way. I also remember L.A. Reid being enamored with the song during the album previews...and I'm not surprised by that one bit, with his out-of-touch self...

"Who" I can't even talk about, so I'll agree to disagree thumbs up!

Personally, I love 'Damita Jo' and the slick, R&B flavor it has. I prefer it to 'All For You' which has always been a bit too lightweight for me. I don't think people can ignore that 'Damita Jo' was really her last album to have a defined mood and vibe, even if the topic matter is almost completely about sex. The albums after it wouldn't have that. '20 Y.O.' seemed like a mashup of JD leftovers and 'Discipline' had no consistancy at all - it came off like a mixtape to me. I'd give anything for Janet to make another album along the lines of 'Damita Jo' or any of her work before that.

The other thing is I completely adore "SloLove" and "Truly" - I can't think of one song on 'All For You' I love as much as those two ("Feels So Right" comes close, though).

I think it's really a matter of taste, though, when talking about pretty much everything she released in the 2000s.

Love "You can be mine" - so sweet. "Show me" was a nice track too...

Hate: "come on get up" , "the 1", "love scene", "would you mind", "put it on you" and "2nite"...there are some more but i gotta think of them...

Pretty much all of "All for you" (except the title song, feels so right, STCML and when we oooo) - is pretty blah!

I loooove show me, i sometimes just randomly sing that song.

and the dicipline album could have been better, the album art work was terrible, and the futurist theme was outdated. she NEEDS jimmy and terry.

I like the first two shrug

Show Me would have been a better first single for 20 Y.O. than Call On Me.

I've taken this cycling/spin class and this song has been really great for a workout. I'd love for her to do more songs like this. This is the Janet I miss.

"I'm Sorry" scene from "For Colored Girls"

And, since we're talking "worst songs," I thought I'd throw out one of her best. "Lonely" from Rhythm Nation is one of, if not her best, ballads--ever. Rhythm Nation was truly her Thriller in terms of every track on that album being single-caliber.

Feels so right is my shiznit ..and another honorable mention goes to "my need" headbang

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
