If anyone hasn't already, you should really read Dancing The Dream. I'm working on my essay/report on the Dangerous album and reading the book. It's great

I've always thought that the "Blood On The Dancefloor" cd was an interesting album for him. It wasn't hyped up like a regular Michael Jackson cd. Did he do any promotional interviews for it? Did he ever talk about the new songs on it?

Oh the love for this man. Last night I spoke with a woman who i had to keep interrupting because she felt so much like me. she said she can't watch him because she'll start crying and, like me, she felt bad for liking Prince so much and ignoring Michael. I thought I was the only one to feel that way.

THANK YOU! Sucks that cablevision doesn't carry TVOne. I' really like to see the 30th Anniversary special. I know that the first night of the special, Michael's performance (and appearance) was eh... but the second night of the show, Mike's performance (and appearance) was really energetic and great.

I'm sad I never got the original though I looked for years and didn't want to pay an expensive price online. I did end up buying the reprinted one though. I wish I just stole it from my school library a decade ago when I had the chance.

I think that "I Can't Help It" is a song that deserved some spin on tours MJ had done throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Its such a beautiful work.

If given the choice to rank the following songs, which would you rank where and why?

1a) I Can't Help It

1b) Human Nature

2)Lady in My Life

3) Butterflies

4)Speechless

5)You are not alone

6)Liberian Girl

I group these songs together moreso for them being extremely standout ballads/slow jams from his albums. I couldnt think of any ballads from Dangerous, but someone can contribue an outtake to this list as well.

The Lady in My Life is the only song I ever have to be emotionally prepared to listen to. If I'm caught off guard, I choke up and cry.

Even the beginning instrumentals cause a lump in my throat.

It's such a beautiful song. sigh

It is a thing of beauty. When Maxwell performed it at the Grammys, it was a nice cover.

I saw this one, but guess what? Later on, he was put on blast by the media for owing a jeweler in NY a lot of money, about $800,000 worth of jewelry. And to my understanding, he owes the IRS. Now ain't that karma for you.

Human Nature - the quintessential MJ ballad

Butterflies - neosoul with an MJ twist

Lady In My Life - classic MJ - smooth silky vocals and ad libs to die for

Liberian Girl - the kind of romantic ballad only MJ could pen

Speechless - after the a capella part it goes down hill for me

You Are Not Alone - doesn't move me

To me, Dancing the Dream is one of the best things Mike´s ever done.
