I don't know how worktime radio works there, but here they play anodyne new music all the time, the same song every three hours. I don't know the singers, but the songs that annoy me now have lyrics like this

"Hey soul sister, is that mistermister on the radio, stereo" and "Its a quarter after one and I need you know" some country chick and a dude.

I am also over any Jack Johnson, as hes coming here and the radio stations are playing his stuff non stop.

Do you guys also tire of these songs and are there any that annoy you right now as well (2010 releases or late 2009, as here in NZ we are a bit behind with release dates compared to the US)

The first one is Train and the second is Lady Antebellum, if that helps.

They're not playing it quite so much anymore, but that "song" with the rapper talking over the Supertramp sample "Take a look at my girlfriend" is easily the worst piece of shit to hit the airwaves in a decade. Simply AWFUL

Amazing, I have never heard of Jason Derulo, but it sounds like overplayed rubbish from a few years ago like that song "I'm Yours" by Jason Muraz, who had the ONE hit, yet hes played to death. My guess is not to trust any dude called Jason with a guitar, the whole image of the halo haired white dude with a guitar and 1960s/70s hippy style clothing with any easy listening style acoustic melody music should be ended.

I am also really over Michael Buble (Or Bubble as I call him), as his music is played to death, as hes coming here too.

They play that California girls all the time too, and shes not even any good, Katy Perry is like what the Americans are overhyping as the British were around Amy Drughouse.

We don't get much of the urban, hip hop like sogs, as the radio stations here are aimed at mostly European listeners, anything black, urban or hip hoppy is on Maori or Island stations like Flava, Mai and Big.

I have not heard any of things songs but I don't listen to radio anymore.

I'm surprised a few of you still listen to the radio, what songs on there do you like? Since Lil Jon broke out with Get Low in 2003 I haven't enjoyed top 40.

slacker.com plays all my favorite artists and I can skip any song I hate.

zup?! I've lived in NZ 4 5 months last year and I fell in love with some artits/bands...opshop, nesian mystik, anika moa, kora, tiki taane among others...I miss all that!! I think u guys have a very good music scene down there.

All those groups are great, but they not really played by anyone except fringe hip hop stations and student radio. At my work we can only listen to anodyne 'family' orientated stations like Classic Hits and Aucklands the Breeze, that play Train and Lady Antebellum all the time. All of those groups have gone except Annika Moa whose put out a new album and its great. Nesian Mystik haven't hit in two years. Tiki Taane only had the one hit (Brilliant one hit though) and has faded into obscurity, his hit is now an advertising jingle for a bank.

I hate when artists announce their label, or brand their names into the beginning of every song. Maybeee if they made memorable music they wouldn't have to!
