Ciara is more graceful and natural to me than Janet.
Of course all of that is choreographed, I'm not naive about that. Janet is a great dancer, but she's too mechanic, too stiff to be spontaneous,,,and thats where CiCi won her points.
Chile, graceful and natural and Ciara do no go together. I guess you only paid attention to Janet's dancing these past few years with that stiff slob - Gil as her choregrapher. Ciara is no one's dancer. Just a stripper, really. His "freestyling" is weak too. So he needs to sit down

Actually I've been following Janet since the Paula Abdul, Tina London to the Gil eras like I said, I think Janet is great but everytime I see her dance, I can't help but to think there's a battery somewhere thats stuck far up her ass and its about to run out anytime
As for the stripper part, I think she can give CiCi's whole career a run for her money with a single show from the Velvet Rope era.
Chile cheese! Janet's back up dancers were guys way back in 1986. Before that man was even conceived.

ciara has more fluidity and rawness

Oh no. I wouldn't compare Ciara's dancing to Michael Jackson's. MJ was fluid and precise with his moves. Ciara is more spontaneous and hard-hitting (if that makes sense lol). There's nothing raw about her dancing. Now Janet can give raw when she wants to. She did it in "Scream" and her tours. I think the "Scream" video shows how opposite both Janet and MJ are in dancing. He's more smooth, fluid and she has more feeling in her move and good timing. and yes, they both have different styles. Also Ciara's style is Hip-Hop and stripper. Which is totally different from Janet's and MJ's.
It's been a while since I've seen the video (and it was always my favourite janet one, She looked so cool with the haircut, black tee and jeans etc) but ISTR the backflip being a bit ..shall we say ...Kevin Bacon-forward-somersault-in-Footloose-like (meaning not her)?

I always thought that a body double actually did the back flip and not Janet...
