eek I strongly think that she was drunk...or high

nod As she's speaking, it sounds like her tongue is swollen - like when a person has been drinking a lot of alcohol (...like over days and weeks).

I predict Whitney is headed for self-destruction and an untimely demise.

Her ego won't allow her to flounder around in these bad reviews and negative opinions for too much longer, and sooner or later - she'll hear what everybody else has been hearing for a while now - that she can no longer sing (...the very thing that put her on the map).

She won't be able to woo the crowds anymore with her Golden Pipes (because her voice is shot), so she'll choose the only other option she'll see as available to end her (presumed) suffering.

I certainly hope not (...hope she proves me wronger than a MoFo), but desperate times call for desperate measures. And Whitney WILL make sure you'll remember her name (for something other than a series of failed performances). All it's gonna take is one looooong night with Jack, some smack, or some crack, and a morning sun that'll look like it's never coming. Then everybody will be like... "Aww, she wasn't THAT bad!", watch!

The world loves a good tragedy, almost as much as it loves a good comeback.

As much as I agree with you that many loves to see a high profiled celebrity "living the blues", the thing is, we've ALREADY witnessed Nippy's fall from grace,,,,many times actually.

So no, in THIS scenario, I think folks are desparately want her to refrain from fuckin' up,,,,at leeeeaaast "refrain" from that, ya know? lol Don't blow our minds, but just get your shit together already.

I think Nippy's worst enemy is Nippy though, the "yes people" contributed to the problem I'm sure, but everything starts and ends with her, period. As long as she walks around like acting like she's the 2nd coming to Marion Williams though, with her short breath even though she's practically "TALKING her songs"as opposed to singing them, then the way to her end street is short and then she'll have to face the music,,,,,,,sadly, some folks can't seem to GET IT unless they really hit rock bottom.

nod Excellent observation.

There is a "Put up or Shut up" factor with older acts... older entertainment. You always get your OMG comeback hype! I can't wait until I see what i say when I was 12 years old.

But usually its all hype. As soon as you see you have gotten older and then entertainer is older and nothing like they were when you were a kid. It's time to admit everyone gets old, you and them - it's over!

Except for Prince (so far) he hasn't musically playing wise.. slipped.

actually thats all very true, but Prince is not the exception to this, there are tons that are doing things alot better now than they were, or just as good

I maybe wrong, really wrong but I think Ms. Houston now wears dentures, at least the uppers. If she's on steriods ( she has that steriod bloat look) that could very well be a side affect. Even so, even before then, the sista was crakin'. I don't know. . . .
